spoiler free: I was so excited to receive the ARC of Seven Year Itch and it did not disappoint. Amy Daws truly knows how to write a mountain man, rugged, swoony, and totally unforgettable. This was the perfect enemies to lovers story with just the right mix of spice and banter to keep me hooked from start to finish. If you haven't started her series yet, you're seriously missing out. I can't wait to see what she gives us next!

This was such a fun read! I enjoyed The 9 Month Contract so much I was so excited to get more of the Fletcher Brother's! The Seven Year Itch has all the good stuff—tropical wedding chaos, enemies-to-lovers tension, and hilarious banter that had me laughing out loud at times. Dakota and Calder were so cute together, and I loved watching their dynamic shift from rivals to something much more.

What I absolutely loved was the banter between Dakota and Calder. Their chemistry is off-the-charts and their bickering back and forth had me laughing out loud more than once. The flirty, sarcastic tone made their connection feel both fun and real. The spice was definitely spicing in this book!🌶️🥵

That said, the miscommunication got a little old. I just wanted them to talk already and stop second-guessing everything! The constant need for reassurance and backtracking in their communication got a bit frustrating. I was screaming multiple times just talk to each other!!!!

Still, it was super entertaining, and Calder totally won me over (cat obsession and all). This is definitely the perfect summer time read! Big thanks to the author and publisher for the ARC!

If you like your romances spicy you will be in for a treat!! If you’re a lover to enemies to lovers…heck even if you’re not mark this one down as a must read!!

Enemies to lovers, small town romance for the win. I just love a meddling family and 17 year old Everly is the best of the best, she’s just adorable trying to fix up her uncles, and cat daddy Calder was an easy target. Sworn off relationships and using dating sites for hook ups, the last thing he wants is any sort of relationship with his long time enemy Dakota. But an enemies with benefits scenario might just be what they both need. Dakota!! I love her. She says what she thinks and she means what she says, she follows through on her decisions and does not back down, even when she feels cornered. She’s brilliant. Exactly what Calder needs in his life, not that he realises that. A super fun, super sexy and super entertaining read, I couldn’t get enough of Dakota and Calder. I just love these Mountain Men. Bring on book 3. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This book had me cackling from page one. I thought I liked Wyatt and Trista, but Calder and Dakota are straight up enemies to lovers goals. This spice is perfectly done and the progression of the story line is absolutely perfect.

Both of our main characters struggle with how they see themselves and what they think they deserve. It's really sweet to see them fall for each other and support each other.

I dunno how Luke's story will top Calder's but I can't wait to see what's next for the Fletcher Mountain Men.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harlequin Publishing and Amy Daws for sending me an ARC of this ebook.

😍 Calder, the grumpy mountain man obsessed with Milkshake (hello #catdaddy), had me laughing and swooning. His heart is sooo gooey & I love it! Dakota? Total hellcat 😜! I love how she’s reclaiming her life after her awful ex and her journey to find herself again is freaking awesome. She’s a total BA bossbabe💪🏻

The banter between these two is freaking awesome, the forced proximity and PowerPoint just adds to the fun. Plus, a cat daddy, a sex club, and a Everly?

So much entertainment packed into one story!
If you're looking for a mix of humor, love, and a bit of personal growth, definitely give this one a read! 💖

Seven Year Itch is the next hilarious romcom from Amy Daws. With antagonists to lovers banter for days, along with the ruggedly handsome Fletcher brothers, this lighthearted romance is the perfect escape.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Calder Fletcher has always butted heads with his sister-in-law’s bestie Dakota. Now that Dakota is divorced, though, the two are forced together on a Mexican vacation to celebrate Calder’s brother’s wedding. Everyone else is paired off, and their constant bickering finally leads them to acknowledge the tension between them. Can Calder be the man to help Dakota find her missing confidence? And is there more to their feelings than simply annoyance?

I always have a good time when an antagonists to lovers story is filled with great banter. Whether Calder and Dakota are forced to share a room, or work together to get through their “enemies to lovers” PowerPoint tasks, their sizzling chemistry fills every scene. Their interactions with the rest of the Fletcher clan are fun too. And, it’s a blast to watch cat daddy Calder try to hide his sweet center.

I went back and forth between the ebook and the outstanding audiobook for this one. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton get to flex their comedic talents, and they are the ideal narrators for this series. They somehow manage to make both the quips and more emotional dialogue resonate, and Dakota and Calder come to life through their voices.

Seven Year Itch has all the steamy romcom goodness you expect from Amy Daws. With tons of banter and quips to go with the characters’ chemistry and heat, it’s a fantastic, fun escape.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is an ARC review. I want to thank Amy Daws and Harlequin Trade Publishing for allowing me the chance to read this book ahead of release day!

Now that that’s out the way I LOVED THIS BOOK! Our favorite meddling matchmaker is back at it again! While Nine Month Contract was such a good read I fell in love with Calder and Dakota. Calder and the middle child syndrome with Dakota who is a jaded from Her recent divorce. With their backgrounds having crossed previously, it created such a good atmosphere for the banter and tension to be at an all time high! Let alone the bump into each other after years in a sex club. Talk about the last place you ever expected to see someone you knew.

The tension and banter brought their love story to an explosions as there really is a fine line between love and hate. With the misunderstandings of who the other person is to their core it’s easy to see how they could think ill of each other. Seeing their perspectives change of who the other person is, probably was my favorite part!

This is text book enemies to lovers with a huge helping of laughs and sprinkle of spice.

Thank you, Harlequin Trade Publishing, Canary Street Press, and NetGalley, for letting me review this book by Amy Daws!
Everly is at it again, this time with her Uncle Calder and step-mom's best friend, Dakota. This was such a good enemies-to-lovers book. Milkshake is back, and you get to see how she made Calder into a doting Cat Daddy. There of course are steamy scenes as well that are drool-worthy. Calder, who is anti-relationship, helps Dakota get her groove back and straighten her crown because she really is a Queen! I can't wait to see what shenanigans Everly is up to next!

Enemies to lovers? Check. Spicy? Check. Hilarious banter? Check. A dash of deeper emotional substance? Also check.

This will be go to for spicy romantic comedy lovers. Calder and Dakota went toe to toe with their banter and it made me laugh out loud at some points. This was such a great installment to the Mountain Men Matchmaker series.

Welcome back to Fletcher Mountain, where the men aren't looking for love but it finds them anyway.

Last years's Nine Month Contract was a big hit in this household, so I was looking forward to Seven Year Itch. Whilst I didn't laugh out loud like I did with NMC, I did enjoy the enemies-to-lovers story of Calder and Dakota.

The cat-dad and the divorcee, who is trying to get her groove back.

Seven years of snark and banter between them means things are going to heat up. This book is a lot spicier than Nine Month Contract, but then, Calder has always been the one that was out there doing his thing.

I did get frustrated with our lovelies, especially Dakota, and how all of this stemmed from a miscommunication all that time ago. But then again, all those years of foreplay...

I enjoyed seeing more of the characters from the previous Fletcher brothers, seeing them all grown up.

Now I NEED Luke's book, stat!

Fun enemies to lovers romance, with a great through line about learning to love yourself for who you are now, not who you used to be.

Some of the beats with the kink club were a little awkward - the interactions felt forced to drive the conflict for the MC’s instead of moving it along naturally.

I loved Milkshake, and it was a blast getting to see the rest of the Fletcher gang!

This book is easily a 4.5 ⭐️ read for me. It had everything I love in a book, enemies to lovers, good banter, a badass FMC, and so much more! Calder and Dakota are so hot together and seriously the cutest. Nothing like a man awakening a woman’s sexual prowess and making her see herself as more than just beautiful but making her realize the only opinion of herself that matters is that of her own! You’ll laugh, you’ll tear up but all and all you’ll have the best time with this. Amy Daws’ writing is just magnificent and I can’t wait for Luke’s book next!

Thanks @HarperCollin and @Netgslley for giving me the chance to review @AmyDaws latest release. I have been reading her since book 2 of the wait with me series. This story is brothers wife best friend enemies to lovers kind of a story. And now that spinoff Mountain men series is on the second brother Calder I couldn’t wait to read it.Calder is the youngest fletcher brother who had the carefree idgaf attitude but is also a people pleaser .he is also a cat daddy. Dakota is Cozy’s best friend who recently divorced want to explore her sexy side so Calder agrees to help. Their love hate relationship is explored in the book. The story was good but not my favorite from Amy and that because I’m not into enemies to lovers.

So I listened and read this book at the same time. I adore Dakota and Calder’s story! I knew there were reasons as to why they were enemies and the story was told in a way to see it from both sides to the story. I don’t want to spoil anything but their HEA in the end is well worth it. I love that Calder’s family meddles in all the brother’s love lives especially Everly.

Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon are two of my favorite narrators that I listen to and I’m so glad that they narrated this story. From the hilarious moments to the emotional stories, they make this story complete. Amy’s books make me cry and laugh out loud and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some tropes include enemies to lovers, small town, s*x bucket list, vacation (one bed), meddling family, found family and mountain man. Some TWs could be cheating (not between the MCs), loss of a parent, mention of divorced parents, divorce and more. Definitely keep these in mind when you start this book.

Oops…I read this whole book in a single day. I could NOT put it down. Calder is my new favorite book boyfriend. I am OBSESSED. And Dakota!!! I cannot say enough about how beautiful her journey was through this book.

The character development is fantastic. The pacing is absolutely perfect. And the spice! Oh I never wanted it to end. The chemistry between the main characters is UNREAL. Add in the most hilarious cast of characters and this incredible found family vibe, and you have one of my favorite reads of the year.

I only have two complaints. One: I needed their first time in the workshop on page. Please release it as a bonus scene! Two: the third act breakup was BRUTAL. Actually gut wrenching. (But I also sort of loved the angst?)

This is actually my first Amy Daws book (I know! Don’t worry I’m writing this from the bookstore parking lot!) and will not be my last. It’s so refreshing to read about two adult characters with adult problems and a real adult relationship. The individual growth and the romantic arc are both fantastic. This is a knockout book!

(ARC)
Secs clubs as a trope in romance books usually mean a darker theme. But can it work in a romcom? One of Christina Lauren’s Beautiful series (top shelf spicy romance, walk don’t run if you haven’t read) has a lighter book where the FMC and MMC go clubbin’—I’ll admit I was skeptical if it would work here.

Dakota is a divorced thirty something who is trying to find herself after a relationship where she lost her confidence in herself, her appearance, and her life. Calder is a playboy mountain man with tattoos who doesn’t date, he just uses dating apps for hook ups. They run into each other in said club, but have already met before when he ruined her wedding dress when he was her contractor. Enemies then must share a room at his brothers wedding…. And many pages later they become friends with benefits… and you can see where this is going.

Pros: I have strong feelings about the age of my FMC and Dakota got the thirties FMC right. She wasn’t too much of a mess, and she reclaims herself. The spice was spicing.
Cons: This was too long. Too many tropes. Could’ve been funny and sexy with many parts cut.

Didn’t hate it though, and it made me want to read the first in this series (which can be read as standalones, as I did).

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁:

Wow this was a spicy adventure I didn’t know I needed. 🌶️ Who doesn’t love a mountain man, cat dad who meets his match with the black cat divorced tshirt store owner. 🐈‍⬛ This one has so many OMG moments and all the meddling family vibes. I can’t get over the spicy lessons PowerPoint plan! 😱 I loved the duet narration, I did immersion reading and all I can say is YES: instant add to TBR!

𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬:

Calder is a mountain man who works in his families construction company and lives on the secluded mountain with his brothers. He has hookups (not with locals) and he’s finding out his kinks (visiting sex clubs). His brothers make fun of him for being a cat daddy but that’s ok, he loves his cat Milkshake. He’s looking for a date to bring to his brother’s wedding in Mexico but he realized someone hacked his dating apps sabotaging him, so he’s now going solo.

Dakota is recently divorced and is trying to find her spark again. She owns a successful shirt store down in Boulder, CO that she started 10years ago. Her bestie just invited her to Mexico for the week and she hopped on the opportunity. But now she’s forced to share a Palapa with her enemy, Calder and it only has one bed! They have bad blood due to a wedding dress/construction mishap a few years back.

But we all know what one bed, forced proximity and two single adults leads to.. a night of steamy fun. Then an awkward flight home CO. Knowing they are going to have to interact again they decided to make a temporary pact, to be enemies with benefits.

Check out this steamy read when it comes out on June 17th! Be sure to add to TBR now as we all need a mountain man.

I loved this one! I did not read the first in the series (although now I will) but I didn't feel like I was missing much context for this particular story. Calder and Dakota have incredible banter and seem to, at the beginning, genuinely hate each other! I loved that Dakota's divorce led her to advocate for herself and I also loved that Calder was so communicative with her about the boundaries and rules for their little FWB deal.

I will say - I found this 3rd act miscommunication to be especially frustrating since I think it could have been handled differently to provide some drama/angst without so much...melodrama? But I liked where it ultimately got and I think that both characters were true to themselves, as flawed as they may be.

This is a really fun read and I am looking forward to checking out more from the author. 4 stars. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
