Thank you for this ARC!! I really really enjoyed Nine Month Contract and really expected to love this just as much. However, I just did not connect to the characters as much. I still had a lot of fun reading this and laughed out loud many times. This was wonderfully written and a great book, just not the right book for me :)

LOVED this story. I could not get enough of the banter, the sexy-ness, the family love, of MILKSHAKE. This had everything I wanted to read! I will read everything I can by Amy now. Thanks for the early read!!

So very thankful for this arc. I had no idea what I was getting into when I chose it. I knew that teddy Hamilton narrated the audio for the one before so I have it on hold with my library. I literally picked this one for the cover, but man I was so wrong about what I was getting into. I had no idea the amount of angst and spice this would have. I definitely wasn’t ready for it. I loved the enemies with benefits turned real life lovers. Also, calver and his cat daddy ways. The book had so many tropes in it, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, one bed. The growth that Dakota made within herself after the twat of an ex husband completely ruin her. I was here for her win at finding herself again. All I know is that damn everly, when they get to her it’s gonna be game on!!

I liked this one and I didn't. Dakota was fabulous as the FMC. I love small town, enemies to lovers, forced proximity. The story moved quickly and was engaging.

What I didn't enjoy was Caldor. I am not a fan of a reformed playboy. It just doesn't really get me.

Amy Daws did an excellent job writing this one though!

I just want to start my review by saying that I don’t think I was the intended target audience for this book.

With that being said, I’m not implying it was a good book, it was. It’s just that I was expecting something different.

I went in expecting a fluffy romance with a side of spice, but I think I would describe this book as erotica as there was a more in depth description to the different practices and clubs.

I do want, however, to mention some of the things I really liked:
* The relationship and dynamic between Calder’s family. Their interactions were wholesome and I really enjoyed them.
* Dakota. That’s it. I just loved her. I think what I loved most about her is that she knew what she wanted and asked for it. Even when she didn’t know what she wanted she was willing to give it a try, but she was very clear when there was something she wasn’t comfortable with.
* The body positivity message. It’s common to have books where we have a FMC who’s skinny and happy or a plus size FMC happy and thriving. But what I liked in this story is that Dakota goes from being a “small size” to a somewhat “bigger” size. It’s definitely disconcerting when this happens as you find yourself doubting everything about yourself. So it was really nice to see Dakota’s journey with accepting and loving her body despite what she used to look like before

Now some of the things I personally did not enjoy so much from this book:
* Calder’s behavior. I feel like I was reading the point of view of some college frat boy. Honestly, he behaved like a horny teenager with no maturity. I doubt a 30 year old would be talking and behaving the way Calder did.
* The amount of time the word “p*ssy” is mentioned even when just referring to a cat. It wasn’t seductive or funny, it was just uncomfortable and unnecessary.
* This is a very personal take, but I was just not into the whole s*x club and s*xual practices. I mean they were talking about voyeurism, dom/sub, etc. which is something I don’t particularly enjoy reading.

I would recommend this book to those who are more comfortable with erotica topics and also want a fun and romantic story.

Book 2 in The Mountain Men Matchmaker series, “Seven Year Itch” was so fun and so hot! It can be read as a standalone though I recommend reading Nine Month Contract first. I was so excited to read
Calder’s story as he was a fave from Book 1.

Calder is a gorgeous bearded, tattooed, cat loving mountain man that thoroughly enjoys his no-strings attached lifestyle. But with his brother Wyatt’s wedding approaching, he needs someone to bring around his family. Enter his niece Everly updating his dating app descriptions to attract a different kind of woman. She has a plan all along, to set her uncle up with Dakota, a family friend. But Calder and Dakota loathe each other….or do they?

***Enemies to lovers
***Dual POV
***Steam steam steam
***Only one room
***Restart after divorce

The overall message about body positivity, feeling desirable and wanted again after a bad breakup - LOVE. This was so great - highly recommend!
And oh, I love a good Dedication page ❤️

Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing, Harper Collins Publishers, and Netgalley for the ARC of this novel; all opinions are my own.

I read and enjoyed the first book in this series (The 9 month contract) so I was really excited to get my hands on an early copy of this second one!! Calder (and Milkshake!) are back!!!

Calder’s got a reputation as a playboy and Dakota, fresh off a divorce, has a grudge against him for something in their past. So obviously, the universe throws them together as roommates at a destination wedding. Cue the forced proximity, banter, and tension.

Watching these two go from enemies to something more was so entertaining. The banter was sharp, the chemistry was great, and I genuinely laughed out loud more than once. I also really appreciated how much of cast from the previous book was around in this one!

Oh….and this book is spicy!

I gave this one 4 stars. It was fun, fast-paced, and exactly the kind of book you reach for when you need a good time and a smile.

Thanks to NetGalley, HarperCollins, and Amy Daws for the ARC and the chance to honestly review this book.

I’ve been waiting to read The Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws, the next book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. I love her books, especially this series and the Wait With Me series, which share many characters. I loved Calder and Dakota’s story. This is a steamy enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, forced proximity, only one bed romance. The entire Fletcher family is back and rooting for Dakota and Calder, which was so fun to read.

Dakota and Calder met through his brother Max, and her friend Cozy, who are married. Calder completed a home renovation for Dakota seven years prior to the book that was fraught with bickering and conflict. Since then, the two seemingly hate each other. They find themselves forced to room together at Wyatt and Trista’s romantic destination wedding in Mexico, and sparks fly. Oh, and did I mention that they run into each other at a sex club in the beginning of the story, and Calder feels strangely protective of her, which shocks them both. They connect at the wedding, and the chemistry is off the charts.

When they return to their homes in Colorado, they are initially uncertain but decide to go through a checklist of activities to boost Dakota’s confidence in the bedroom. Of course, this totally backfires and they end up falling in love. The tension and chemistry between these enemies-to-lovers is off the charts. I literally couldn’t put this book down! Dakota is plagued by insecurity after her divorce, and honestly, her inner thoughts and self-doubt felt a bit excessive. Calder is obviously blown away by everything about her, and she is constantly worrying that he wants to end things between them.

As the book winds down, things between Dakota and Calder blow up, and the Fletcher family helps Calder stage an intervention. The family involvement in the books in this series is filled with funny banter and lots of love and support for each other. I loved the ending and the epilogue, and wish we had seen more of Dakota and Calder after the family intervention.

This book lived up to my expectations! Another Amy Daws hit, full of tension, hilarious banter, hot mountain men, and off-the-charts steam and chemistry. I truly adore this series and the Fletcher family. It was great to see the long-time conflict between Dakota and Calder end in an intense and loving connection between them. I can’t wait for Luke’s book!

Thank you to Amy Daws, Canary Street Press, and NetGalley for this advance reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

The perfect follow up to 9 Month Contract! If you enjoyed Wyatt’s story-then you’ll like Calders story just as much if not more. I fully appreciate these books as they follow 3 brothers finding love (with help from their meddling neice). It you like a spicy book with a decent plot, Amy Daws books are for you.

4.5 stars

Fun and flirty second book in this series following the perpetual bachelor Calder and the recently divorced Dakota. Enemies thrown together by machinations of a behind the scenes matchmaker. A vacation where they are sharing a room leads the two to get to know a new side of their dynamic.

I enjoyed Seven Year Itch more than the first book in the series as the premise was more realistic.

Meddling Matchmaker
Getting her Back
Perpetual Bachelor
Enemies to Lovers
One Bed
Vacation Romance

I loved the enemies to lovers dynamic between the love interests, especially that he always wanted her and she had no clue. I really enjoyed the FMC’s struggle with her body changing due to life/stress/age, the feeling of not being what you once were really resonated with me. The MMC mentioning the change in appearance in a way that felt positive and coming from a place of appreciation and love not only helped the FMC, but I think will also relate to many people. Showing that while our bodies change, we can still love ourselves and be loved by other people without conditions.

I adored seeing familiar characters especially one particular nosey niece who wants nothing more than for her uncles to find love.

I LOVED this steamy enemies to lovers small town mountain romance. Dakota was so sassy and fierce while Calder was so bull headed and bold. I loved their arguments more than any other fictional couple I've read. The banter and mouths of the two of them had me gasping and then holding m breath and gasping some more. The romance once they finally couldn't hold back was so passionate and intense. I loved how these characters supported each other too

This was one of the most delightful rom-coms I’ve read in a long time! Amy Daws absolutely nails the enemies-to-lovers dynamic, and the chemistry between the main characters is laugh-out-loud hilarious. I was hooked from the very first page and couldn’t put it down.

I had no idea this was the second book in a series—it works perfectly as a standalone—but now I’m even more excited to go back and read the first one. I can’t wait to dive deeper into this fun, flirty world filled with charming, rugged mountain men!

What a fun and spicy read.

Calder works with his three brothers building eco friendly homes. When his brother Wyatt is getting married in Mexico he isn't happy about going alone.
Calder checks out Lennox the sex club he belongs to, and finds his sister in laws, best friend Dakota. He and Dakota do not get along, but he busts in and saves her bad experience.
Dakota about dies when she sees Calder come at her and takes her away from the scene she is in. She is thankful but what the hell.
Calder and Dakota have a history, that happened 7 years ago. He renovated her house, broke a pipe and wrecked her wedding dress, her dream wedding dress, 3 days before the wedding.
Calder has a plan to help Dakota learn a few things and does a power point with lists of tasks.
Dakota agrees and starts working on the list with Calder.
These two have a great chemistry until they don't. Both vow to try to enjoy themselves.
Calder shows Dakota sides of him nobody knows, Dakota shows Calder all her vulnerable and insecure parts.
Calder is the biggest fan of how successful Dakota is and Dakota sees all the talent that Calder has and how generous he is with the family business.
When neither want to admit to feelings, it takes niece Everly, to push them together again!
Lots of laugh out loud, and fun sex scenes and a cute fluffy kitty.

Overall, 3 stars, but I would give the Tinder profile at the beginning of the book 5 stars. The book was entertaining, but I felt like it leaned too heavily on the "enemies" part and made it very cringy for me to read. I had a hard time connecting with the main characters, both Calder and Dakota were too stubborn for their own good. The parts that I really enjoyed were around Dakota gaining her self-confidence back and feel comfortable enough to explore sexual adventures with Calder. Calder's vulnerability was really sweet as well.

I had so much fun with this book gotta agree with everly she is a Mastermind and she's back to her matchmaking shenanigans, her new victim? Calder! When he has no option but to attend Wyatt and Trista's wedding in Mexico solo, Everly decides to play Cupid with Dakota, forcing them into a shared Palapa. Their past might be rocky, but their chemistry is undeniable, making for a truly interesting read! Expect the usual hilarious banter, laugh-out-loud moments, and plenty of heat from these mountain men

Be warned there is a bit of miscommunication so if you're not into that  read at your one risk.
Tropes:
• Enemies to Lovers
• Small Town Romance / Vacation Romances
• Cat Dad
• S3x Lessons
• Only one bed
