I love this little mountain town.
This series is severely underrated. It has emotions. I has mountain men. It has humor. It has romance. What more could you want?
This book felt so different than book 1, but still fit the vibes of the series so well.
The audio was absolutely fantastic and I didn't want to stop listening. Will definitely be a go to audio recommendation from me!

This novel was absolutely charming—tropical wedding setting, cat‑dad hero, and that delicious enemies‑to‑lovers setup. The banter made me laugh, and the slow‑burn chemistry sailed into spicy waters. I loved how the emotionally guarded characters gradually open up. Some plot points felt a bit thin, but the emotional payoff landed beautifully—a satisfying balance of humor and depth . I’m giving it 4,5 ☆. cozy, steamy, and definitely worth the wait.

Seven Year Itch is book two in an interconnected standalone series, and while you could technically read it solo, I’d recommend starting with book one to avoid spoilers.
This one gave me:
• Divorcee FMC with black cat energy
• Grumpy, tattooed, cat-loving mountain man (Calder, the icon)
• One bed trope (we love to see it)
• Enemies to lovers with serious heat
• A sex club mishap
• A meddling family
• A proud cat named Milkshake
I did an immersive read with both the Kindle and the audiobook, and the duet narration was so well done — it really brought the banter and tension to life. It’s a quick, easy, laugh-out-loud rom-com with just the right amount of spice and heart. A little cheesy at times, but that’s part of the charm.
If you’re looking for a light summer read with flirty vibes, hilarious chaos, and some emotional depth tucked between the laughs, this one’s for you

I've read all of Amy Daws books so reading this was a no brainer! Of the two mountain men books currently out I defintely would say this one is my fave of the two! I just loved Dakota's energy and how she was written. She made me laugh and smile and get emotional too!
And those Fletcher brothers? 😍

This book was hilarious but also explored some serious undertones of self worth and standing up for what is best for oneself.
Dakota and Calder met several years ago and did not get on well. Seven years later their are now forced together during a wedding and the sparks just fly. But things are not quite simple, what starts off as an exploration of desire list soon becomes more. They do come together but that requires some unconformtable discussions and confrontations.
Well paced, humorous and sexy this book was worth my listening time.

Loving this series and already wishing for book 3. Great characters with amazing chemistry and a story line that held my interest throughout. Thank you Netgalley!

"Seven Year Itch" by Amy Daws, the second book in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series, is a delightful journey into small-town romance that truly delivers. This enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity tale is packed with humor, witty banter, and a good dose of spice, making it a thoroughly enjoyable read.
The dynamic between Dakota, fresh from a divorce, and Calder, the rugged mountain man, is captivating from the start. Their history, stemming from a seven-year-old grudge, sets the stage for some fantastic tension and hilarious interactions. The way they are thrown together at a small-town wedding, leading to a friends-with-benefits arrangement that inevitably blossoms into something more, is executed with charm and genuine emotion.
What truly elevates this book to a 4-star read for me are the well-developed characters. Both Dakota and Calder feel real and relatable, and their individual journeys of self-worth and second chances are explored with sensitivity. The emotional depth woven into the humorous exchanges made their evolving relationship feel authentic and earned. I particularly enjoyed the sharp, engaging dialogue that kept the pages turning.
While the plot might follow some familiar romance tropes, Amy Daws infuses it with enough originality and heart to keep it fresh and engaging. It's a book that makes you laugh, swoon, and genuinely root for the characters to find their happy ending. If you're looking for a fun, heartfelt, and steamy small-town romance, "Seven Year Itch" is definitely one to pick up.

I missed this world so much! I loved diving back into this world with the "brothers on the mountain"! It was so funny I had to contain myself when I was reading this out in public.

I just can't love these characters more. And I've never read anything by Amy Daws that I haven't loved. She writes some of the best banter and spicy times.
I wouldn't say this is necessarily enemies to lovers, rather annoyed by each other. :) They are forced to cross paths as their best friend/brother are married.
If you like enemies with benefits and a sex bucket list, this is the story for you.
It just full of laughs and emotions. A man who loves his cat. And a girl who loves her T-shirt shop.
This audio book is what all audiobooks should strive to be. Duet style with legendary narrators.

Unfortunately, this just wasn't the book for me. I had a hard time connecting with the characters and the writing, and the romance wasn't romancing. That doesn't mean I think it's a bad book, though. I'll definitely be able to recommend this book to people at the library!

Oh, who’s ready to go to fletcher mountain! Definitely a frenemies to lovers trope. Spice is 4/5! It was an enjoyable read. Cannot wait to read other Amy Daws books. Received ARC from Net Galley. Thank you.

This was my second Amy Daws book and I'm ready to read more. This was the perfect second installment in the Mountain Men series. Cat Daddy Calder gave me everything I was hoping for and more in this book. Dakota was the perfect match for him. Everly is a true genius for this coupling! And finding out what really happened between the two of them all those years ago just made their history even richer. Not to mention the spice was definitely spicing!!

Calder and Dakota definitely kept me laughing crying and swooning through this whole book. Amy definitely didn’t disappoint with this mountain man. Calder is a cat daddy through and through and while he didn’t intend to be anything but a bachelor Dakota the sworn enemy who is best friends with his sister in law results in steamy sex cat daddy antic and Amy Daws comedy you don’t want to miss. This is beyond a 5 star read. Fletcher Mountain for the win. Also Everly is the best!!!!

I’ve been waiting for more Fletcher brothers and this doesn’t disappoint. Calder, father to his spoiled cat Milkshake, is the latest victim of niece Everly’s matchmaking. She chooses mom Cozy’s best friend, Dakota, who is still reeling from her recent divorce. Calder and Dakota have been enemies for years, but when forced into close proximity, realize there are some sparks.
They embark on an enemies with benefits relationship to help Dakota get her groove back. While you can read this as a stand-alone, I recommend you read Max and Wyatt’s stories first because you will enjoy this book even more.
Great story, great romance, and I can’t wait for the next! Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

*4 Stars*
Another great instalment in this series from Amy Daws. I enjoy reading about these brothers and their family on the mountain, and seeing them find their people. Calder and Dakota have always had an interesting connection, for lack of a better word. The way they always snipe at each other always made me wonder what more could be there. I enjoyed getting to know Calder and see his soft side and Dakota is a really cool chick and seeing Calder help her find herself again was great. I enjoyed this book and loved how everything turned out. Would recommend.

This is book two in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series from Amy Daws and it did not disappoint. It is full of humor and spice in true Daws' fashion. Calder and Dakota dislike each other but are thrown together at Calder's brother's wedding as Dakota is the maid of honor. When they are forced to share a room, their mutual attraction takes over. Dakota is in the middle of a messy divorce so their hook up is only supposed to last for the duration of the wedding but Calder is interested in so much more. Lucky for him, Dakota shows up after the wedding looking for help getting her groove back. Now, he has to show her that he is all she needs.

Only one bed trope? Say less. Loved this book and anytime I had to put it down to be an adult with responsibilities I was eager to pick it back up again!

I’m loving these Fletcher brothers!
Calder and Dakota are fire! These two love to hate each other. This story is full of wit and banter that had me laughing throughout. But it’s also filled with vulnerabilities and insecurities, and watching Calder and Dakota navigate their feelings and fall into each other is heartfelt and beautiful to watch.
I love the family dynamic of this series and I can’t wait for Luke’s story. I sure hope these uncles also get to help in a story for Everly. She’s so fun!

We are headed off the mountain for a tropical destination wedding in this enemies to lovers romance. Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is the second novel in the yummy Mountain Men Matchmaker series. Cat daddy, Calder Fletcher’s brother, is getting married and the tale that unfolds was sweet, sexy and filled with banter.
I adored, Nine Month Contract, and was excited for the next Fletcher brother’s romance. While each book offers a standalone romance, spoilers for book one are present in Seven Year Itch and there is an overall arc with our little matchmaker that has me recommending you read this series in order.
You cannot help but fall for Fletcher. Sure, he is a little rough around the edges, but the man is a cat daddy and their interactions are adorable. This is a rival/enemies to lovers romance with banter, humor and sizzling chemistry.
Calder Fletcher has kept his walls up after a romance gone wrong. He also loves working with his brothers, but lately feels more like a gofer. With his brother’s upcoming destination wedding he is looking for a no-strings date and is shocked when he sees someone has hacked his tinder account. I laughed out loud and settled in.
Dakota is the best friend of the bride. Recently divorced, she and Calder have a bit of a past concerning a remodel of her beloved Victorian home. She is traveling solo to the wedding and looking forward to the rest and relaxation, while avoiding Calder.
When the two find themselves sharing the same palapa. Cue hilarious moments and sizzling denied attraction in this forced proximity romance surrounded by family and friends. I loved Dakota’s inner dialogue. The story had tender moments, as Dakota opens up about her marriage, and the full story about the animosity she has for Calder and his confessions as well.
If you read the first novel, you’ll love the updates on the previous couple, the nuptials and, of course, our matchmaker. What happens on the island was magical, but what happens on the mountain was perfection as Dakota propositions Calder.
Seven Year Itch delivered a feel-good, swoon-worthy romance with sizzling moments, low angst, character growth, adorable & quirky animals and all the feels.

I absolutely love the first book in this series, Nine Month Contract. When I found out it was going to be a series where the rest of the Fletchers find love I was so excited because I also wanted Calder, Luke and their niece Everly’s stories.
I was very surprised by the Calder in the first half of Seven Year Itch, he was unlikable and a big jerk. I mean he was supposed to be the tattooed cat daddy of my dreams! How could he act that way? But Amy knew what she was doing and redeemed him. His character journey made sense and in the end I loved him again. I also loved Dakota’s post divorce journey. It was great to read about this curvy independent woman who was struggling but she worked through it and was stronger for it.
I loved the banter between Calder and Dakota and the spice was very hot!
I also enjoyed the family and friendship dynamics, especially Everly’s meddling
I recommend reading this fun and spicy mountain man story and even though it is a standalone, I wouldn’t skip the first book, because it’s too good to miss!
