Another amazing Fletcher brother book that had me hooked. I was so excited for Calder and Dakota’s story. Calder aka Cat Daddy has become a favorite of mine. The Fletcher brothers series just gets better and better. I love the banter and of course the sec times between Dakota and Calder. I’m already excited to read Luke’s book next.

Overall: 4.5/5
Spice level: 3/5
Tropes: enemies to lovers, fling to forever, divorcee
Ok, Calder and Dakota this fiery chemistry. That's what happens when you start off as mortal enemies, unfortunately that hate was fueled by a misunderstanding that Calder never came clean about.
It's great to see continued plus size/mid size rep with Amy Daws' characters! And she always brings effortless comedy.
My only real criticism of this book was the use of an AAVE phrase that was written incorrectly, and in a book filled with all white people. It made me cringe. It's also not the first time I've seen a white author who writes characters do this.
Overall though, I enjoyed the book. Calder as an obsessed cat dad was adorable, and Dakota as a bad ass businesswoman was someone to admire.

Is there anything better than getting to return to Fletcher mountain?! Yes, getting to return early to Fletcher Mountain! I cannot believe that I was given the incredible opportunity to read Sever Year Itch ahead of it's release on June 17th. I have been obsessed and enamored with Amy's writing for several years now. Seven Year Itch ranks near the top of my all time favorite Amy Daws reads.
Seven Year Itch gives us the story of Calder and Dakota, two people who from initial impression could not be more different. Calder is everything I wanted him to be, sarcastic, big heart, and WOW now hot. Add on the fact that he is a massive Cat Daddy with the skills to make everything happen!
The story held my interest from the start, it was un-put-downable! Enemies with benefits had me kicking my legs with glee. The obvious connection between the two was undeniable.
My favorites parts:
*Dakota defending Calder to his family
*The hangover day
*Toy store chapter :)
Thank you Amy Daws and Canary Street Press for the opportunity to read in advance.

I think this story is much cuter/steamier than the first in this series. The set-up is far more believable than the brother who wanted a surrogate. There is something to be said about romance that stems from those who are so frustrated with each other, the only way to solve it is through a physical relationship. I loved the humor, desire and plot of this book. It was cute, sexy, relatable and funny!

Seven year itch
Fletcher mountain men! The seven year itch is the second of the mountain men matchmaker series. The fletcher brothers are a pack of burly mountain men who thought they only needed eachother but are slowly finding themselves falling in love, getting married, & starting families. In this book we get to know Calder Fletcher. A notorious playboy, one (& done) night stand , & self proclaimed screw up. He crosses paths again with Dakota Schaefer whom he knows through his sister in law as well as from a bad work situation years prior. Calder and Dakota HATE eachother. Or do they? A single bed , forced proximity, secret matchmaking, friends w/ benefits finds these two switching from enemies to lovers. This book is full of spice, hysterical banter, & lots of pop culture references.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A spicy enemies-to-lovers read—lots of spice and laugh-out-loud moments.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. A great choice for enemies-to-lovers fans. This book was SO funny- actually laugh out loud. The back and forth banter is going to be amazing on audio. I can't wait to listen. Recommended for fans of The Bromance Book Club.

—ARC Review from NetGalley—
Whew! The spice was spicing in this book. I loved the fire (both enemies-wise and romance-wise) between Calder and Dakota. Amy Daws writes the perfect teddy bear like burly mountain men.
Yes, this book is a romance (obviously). But it’s also about finding yourself as life changes you. Dakota is dealing with a divorce and the loss of her confidence she once had in her younger days. Beyond finding herself sexually, she just wanted to find that general confidence in herself and her life that she lost along the way.
PS - Oh boy! Does Everly have it coming to her. I feel like the mountain men are going to put her through the wringer for her dating life when her book comes along.
Rating: 5/5
Spice: 3.5/5

All I wanted was a casual plus-one to my brother's destination wedding, but those idiots on my family tree hacked my dating profile and sabotaged my quest for the perfect weekend fling. Now I'm stuck on a tropical vacation with only my hand to keep me company. Until I’m forced to share a room with the bane of my existence: my sister-in-law’s best friend. Dakota has hated me for the past seven years. I wasn’t losing much sleep over her screaming rants because she was some other guy’s problem. Or she was, until she got divorced. Being stuck in paradise with a woman who loathes your very existence doesn't sound hot, but after an unexpected moment in our shared palapa, she starts screaming at me in a different way. What happens in paradise stays in paradise. That is, until Dakota shows up on my mountain with a proposition: be her wingman to help her regain her pre-divorce confidence. Suddenly, Dakota’s not just the person I love to fight with. She’s the woman I want everything with.
Thoughts
Easy, light and funny read. I appreciated the touch on body positivity and accepting how you change as you get older. It was actually hard to read things that Dakota’s ex said to her about her body. But in the end she got the love and devotion she deserved from Calder. Fun journey to follow without being heavy.

A strong 4 stars for me!
This book is one of the most enjoyable and memorable books I’ve read so far this year. Blending humor with emotional depth, it delivers a compelling enemies-to-lovers romance that feels both authentic and refreshing. I felt an immediate connection to the main characters, Calder and Dakota. Their chemistry is palpable, and their individual journeys are equally captivating.
The author has done a remarkable job crafting characters with diverse personalities and backgrounds, particularly in terms of their family dynamics. It’s nearly impossible not to find at least one character to relate to, which adds to the emotional resonance of the story. Each relationship, whether romantic, familial, or platonic - is portrayed with sincerity, allowing them to feel raw, real, and deeply human.
Needless to say, this book had the perfect amount of humor, tension, and heartfelt moments. I found myself genuinely invested in the outcome of the main characters. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book!

4.5 rounded up to 5.
I really enjoyed the banter between Calder and Dakota. While they didn’t really scream “enemies to lovers” the banter was good and the spice was good.
I also enjoyed the flashbacks of the other characters, and of course Everly made sure she was the star of the “show” (book).

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC!
I really loved this one, it was so fun to read!
Their banter and fighting was realistic and added to the tension, not to mention hilarious. I actually didn't hate the 3AB because it was realistic and made sense for the plot. I *LOVED* her post award self realization. IYKYK.
Enemies to lovers plus enemies with benefits? Body positivity and female self confidence? And a hot, tattooed cat daddy? This book basically has it all.

Seven Year Itch by Amy Daws is a fun, smart, romantic comedy that Amy Daws seems to specialize in - she's got this genre down. (that's a compliment!)
In Seven Year Itch, we get the grumpy hero forced to spend time with the woman who drives him crazy when they are at a destination wedding and end up sharing a room with only one bed.
When Dakota proposes that Calder help her get her groove back as her wingman while on the trip, he reluctantly helps her and while there, they start to get feelings for each other in this hilarious, spicy, romance.
Ms. Daws has a way of making the characters have fun with each other, be witty, and likeable - even when they're grumpy and reluctant to help.
I loved this book.
Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this story. The enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes but adding in significant character growth and self reflection is a big plus

I picked up the first book of the Mountain Men series by Amy Daws on a whim. I started with ‘Nine Month Contract’ and was instantly hooked! I was thrilled to get the ARC for the next book and was curious to see where Calder’s journey would take him.
‘Seven Year Itch’ is a delightful blend of two stories, each with its own unique twist. It’s a enemies-to-lovers trope that keeps you on the edge of your seat, with a delightful banter between the main characters. I also loved that we still get to peek into the lives of the other brothers, making the story feel more comprehensive. And what I appreciated the most was the open and honest portrayal of sexual exploration and needs, without any shame or judgment.
It’s a perfect continuation of a fun and entertaining rom-com series. I can’t wait to dive into the next book and follow Luke’s adventures!
I want to express my gratitude to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing and Canary Street Press, for providing this book for review consideration thyrough NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are solely my own.

One thing is for sure and two things for certain: if Amy Daws writes it, I am likely to love it. If there’s a black cat FMC who meets her match in a dominate leading man and happens to live on a mountain, I will devour it.
I got it ALL in this book. This is such a delicious contemporary enemies to lovers book where the only epic battle is Calder and Dakota’s fighting their feelings for one another. It’s probably one of Amy’s spicer books and I’ve always found her books are deceptively spicy in the best way. The tension between these two is enough to spark but once they connect, it’s enough set the entire place on fire. Though, what really kept me hooked was the deep, emotional issues Calder and Dakota faced. They had to work to process them both individually and together. It made their relationship more relatable. This story and how it unfolds is a little different than Amy’s books in that it’s a little slower and I will admit I wanted to smack both the main characters but I found it engaging, funny, and I was generally rooting for Calder and Dakota to get their HEA. I loved Nine Month Contract(which I do recommend reading before you this story just for some background) and I dying for Luke’s book next.
I received this ARC from NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing/Canary Street in exchange for an honest review.

Seven Year Itch is book 1 in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series! Technically it can stand alone but I highly recommend reading them in order because this one will contain spoilers from book 1. Plus, the first book is super funny and it’s worth reading anyway. That being said, this one was a lot of fun. It’s sort of a mix between Bridesmaid for Hire by Meghan Quinn (many of the same tropes/location for the wedding etc.) and The Salacious Players Club by Sara Cate. It’s got some serious enemies-to-lovers vibes and a friends with benefits romance. If you like any of these (plus a tatted lumberjack) then I think you’ll enjoy this one. The author does a great job at not only making this book funny but adding real and raw emotions to the characters to make them feel well rounded, whole, and realistic.
𝗠𝗬 𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was such a fun read. I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers and the push and pull between these characters was magnetic. The more they argued, the more intense their attraction was towards one another. It was so satisfying to watch them bend until they finally broke.
Calder is the middle brother, the one with little to no ambition to ever be in a relationship. He took the mountain life to heart and didn’t want to tie himself down. I love the banter between him and his brothers, also love that he’s referred to as cat daddy 🤣 his love for that cat is next level.
If you read other books by this author, you know the banter is going to be top notch. One moment she has you cracking up, the next it’s a serious moment. It’s a whirlwind of emotions but so dang enjoyable.
I will say parts of the beginning did seem a bit slow for me and I’m not a fan of the third act break up, but other than that, I really enjoyed this book!
If you’re a fan of enemies to lovers, friends with benefits, found family, great banter and spice, you should be adding this one to your tbr!!

I think Calder just became my favorite Fletcher brother. To be honest, when I first started this book, I found Dakota to be a bit intolerable. But, I was such a big fan of the first book in this series that I decided to trust the author and stay the course. I’m so glad I did. As the story unfolds, we get to see behind the curtain to the heart of these characters. Once their vulnerabilities surface, it’s hard not to become invested in seeing this couple get their HEA.

I try not to double dip with ARCs and ALCs but I was so invested in the AlC that I needed the e copy so I could keep going when I wasn't able to listen 😭 this is such a fun series and the audio was elite as well.
This was my first dip in the Mountain Men Matchmaker series and I enjoyed it. It took my brain a minute to get into the writing but once I got there I thought it was an enjoyable and spicy time.
Thank you so much to HTP, Amy Daws and Netgalley for the opportunity to review this title. I attest that I am leaving my review voluntarily and honestly.
