I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this book. Amy Daws has quickly become my favorite artist. This book has the perfect balance of bickering and love. Balancing the two is a defeated feat for Seven Year Itch. I read this book in less than 24 hours, and I cannot wait for the next book to arrive in October!! Book 5/5, Smut 3/5. The smut was a little often in this book but it worked perfectly within the storyline.

Thank you to Harlequin Trade Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC of Seven Year Itch in exchange for an honest review.
I was so incredibly excited to get my hands on this book. Amy Daws had me counting down the days until it’s ARC release! I absolutely fell in love with the first book in this series, Nine Month Contract. Everything about the Fletcher family sucks you in and makes you laugh over and over and the brothers are truly so lovable. Book 2 focuses on the love story between Calder Fletcher and his arch nemesis, Satan reincarnated, and the very definition of a Karen, Dakota (best friend of Calder’s sister-in-law). Calder helped Dakota renovate her house seven years ago, creating a tumultuous relationship between the pair. While having remained civil throughout the years, Calder and Dakota are forced together on vacation for his older brother’s wedding (from Book 1) thanks to Calder’s niece yet again. Can Calder help bring Dakota out of her post divorce shell? Can Dakota convince Calder that relationships can be a safe space for growth and comfort? As the two devise a game plan for Dakota’s sexual awakening in the form of a well crafted PowerPoint, the game is afoot and both of them only hope to come out of this unscathed.
Again, these books are quite heavy on the spice so if that’s not for you, please take note. How we, if that’s is for you, the enemies to lovers connection between Dakota and Calder is 10 out of 10. Everything about them perfectly complements the other person and Dakota’s journey back towards the discovery her own self worth and confidence is not to be overlooked. Amy has also perfectly queued us up for book 3, which will be Luke and Addison’s love story that we get a partial glimpse of in this book. Eek! I’m so excited! Please run to pick this one up immediately after reading Book 1. Available for purchase June 17th!

I loved Dakota and Calder, their banter was the best. I loved all the tropes in this book: enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, meddling family, small town, vacation, and second chances. I really felt for Dakota, she was really struggling with her self-worth after she split from her husband, not only did he treat her poorly and insult her, but he tried to take her business and home. You know when the fmc hates the mmc this much, the spice is going to be flaming hot. Amy did not disappoint!

3.7⭐️ This story was so funny and kept me hooked until the end. I love an unhinged and chaotic character and Calder is that. The story was a little fast paced and everywhere for me to follow but still really good! Dakota got what she deserved after her divorce and her overcoming 7 years of grief and hurt was really heartwarming! I liked the story, but would prefer it to be more cohesive. But maybe it is meant to be messy and fun

This book was sweet and occasionally funny, but overall it just didn’t live up to the first in the series.
I really struggled with the enemies-to-lovers dynamic—it felt immature and petty for no real reason, which made it hard to get invested in the romance. These characters are in their 30s, and yet their behavior read more like high school drama than adult tension.
That said, there were some bright spots:
-I loved the family dynamics—I came back for them after book one, and they didn’t disappoint.
-The humor landed! There were several moments that genuinely made me laugh.
-The cat. Iconic 😂🐾
Unfortunately, the rest fell flat. I especially hated how poorly Calder (the MMC) was treated—not just by side characters but by the FMC too. It made it hard to root for their relationship.
The pacing also felt off. The trip portion had some momentum, but once they returned, the story dragged and lost its spark.
I’ll keep reading the series because I’m curious about the other characters, but this one just wasn’t a hit for me.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Gah!
I love Calder.
He was hilarious, and his Cat Dad persona was everything!
This book had me laughing from the get-go. That ad the book starts with is 🤌Chef’s Kiss.
I must admit that it took me a while to like Dakota. I didn’t like her for a good chunk of the book. Don’t worry, she redeems herself, but it was hard. She felt bratty and b1tchy, and I wanted to smack her.
The narrators did an excellent job of bringing the characters to life. I loved them for the roles.
Overall, a great continuation to the series. I can’t wait for the last brother!

Loved the first one!
Love the second one!
I need to sit on this for a little bit to think of the review more.
I overall loved the entire vibe of the book and even though there was a lot of negative interactions, the overall vibe is positive somehow????
I don’t know. I’m boggled 😂
I don’t know, let me get my shit together it’s like 4am and I’ve been reading since 10pm
🫣
Ok it’s now 12pm and I can think better!
I enjoyed the dynamic between the two characters.
I feel like in a lot of enemies to lovers situations they definitely jump from enemies to lovers far too quickly.
Both of the characters here were a lot more hesitant despite the fact that there was such a strong physical pull to each other.
I loved finding out at the end of the book all the extra little spoilers that I will absolutely not be telling you here!
My only thing I really didn’t enjoy the whole sex club scenarios, it just kinda gives me the ick so… fair warning to anybody reading this who’s not into that type of setting

The Fletcher Brothers do not disappoint and this enemies to lovers with Calder and Dakota is fire! The “I don’t like you but I’m happy to f*ck you anyway but oh wait I’m in love with you and I’m not ready for that but don’t want anyone else” is magic! And it’s more than just their romance, it’s the growth as people; people figuring out who they are and fighting for the other to see themselves for who they are. So many good emotional and physical layers. But you can’t leave out the humor and the banter either.

“Just try not to pet my head again, cat daddy.”

Nine Month Contract by Amy Daws was my favorite February read so I had high hopes for this one!! Seven Year Itch delivered in a big way. First of all, Calder and his cat Milkshake are everything. He’s got that golden retriever energy about him- yet he cannot stay out an argument with Dakota- his brother’s wife’s best friend. He and Dakota go way back, and unfortunately the history is not pleasant. Dakota is a strong
business-owning FMC who is recently divorced.
One night, Calder decides to return to the sex club he and his brothers used to visit back in the day, when he is shocked to run into Dakota. Despite their awful history, he finds himself coming to her rescue when she finds herself in too deep.
Dakota, is NOT pleased as she was attempting to expose herself to some new experiences to figure out why her sex life with her ex was so awful.
A few weeks later, they fly to Calder’s brother Wyatt’s wedding in Mexico and are faced with the news that there is only one room for them due to some emergency construction at the resort.
Sparks fly- mostly insults and a bloody nose- and the interactions between them are hilarious! They are both so pissed, but as the reader, we are giggling and kicking our feet because we know what comes next! Let that tension build, besties- we will be right here with our popcorn, waiting for you to give in!
I absolutely love the way Amy Daws writes! There are no slow parts or missing pieces to the story. She ties everything together and adds so much spice and humor along the way! 🥵
Huge thank you to Amy Daws, Harlequin Trade Publishing, and NetGalley for sending me the arc copy last weekend! I can’t wait to pick up the gorgeous paperback version!!

at my brother's destination wedding I am forced to share a room with someone who is the bane of my existence. will they learn to get along?

This series is so fun. I love the Fletcher brothers and seeing them get their HEAs. I was excited for Calder’s story, he is hilarious and I love his energy. And Dakota is an easy FMC to relate to, she is strong and sassy, but has some insecurities to work through thanks to her ex husband. She and Calder have some serious enemy vibes and can’t stand each other. I loved finding out why through flashbacks, and how they end up coming together. They have top tier banter and chemistry, and the animosity between them definitely fuels the fire and passion.
Also a shoutout for Everly because she is the meddling niece playing matchmaker for her Uncles, love her!

Thank you HTP Books, HTP Hive, Harlequin Audio, Netgalley and Amy Daws for the ARC!

I haven't read any of Amy Daws books before so I went into this pretty blind (& without context, so that likely colored my rating). I was really into the premise at the beginning since I love enemies to lovers, one bed, & matchmaking tropes' however, I was never truly drawn into the story. This book took me quite a while to read (which is very unusual for me), and I felt like I finished it just to finish it. When I requested this ARC, I was envisioning some long-standing history between the two characters that was kind of raw & beautiful, so I had pretty mismatched expectations to what the book was actually about. In other words, I don't think the second-chance romance played out in the way I wanted it to (which is the fault of my own baseless expectations, not the fault of the author).
Overall:
- Dakota & Calder's chemistry was good, and I liked the secrecy of their history for the first part of the book.
- Cool to get a glimpse into the lives of the characters from the first book (since I hadn't read it previously).
& Special thanks to Harlequin Pub for this ARC!

Amy Daws does it again! This is the second book in the series and it doesn't disappoint. I am in love with cat dad Calder and the banter between him and Dakota.

I love Dakota and Calder from this 2nd installment of the Mountain Men Matchmaker series. This can be read as a standalone, but you will be introduced to all of the characters in the first book in the series, Nine Month Contract as well as Last on the List.
The story follows the journey from enemies (?) to lovers that Dakota and Calder go through. We get to watch them learn how to communicate with each other and learn so much more about themselves. The book is sweet and sexy.
Everly is a chaos gremlin in the best way and Milkshake is the bestest kitty.
I have loved every book I have ready by Amy Daws and this one is no different.
Spice: 4/5
Fun: 4/5
Overall: 4/5
Thanks to NetGalley and Canary Street Press for providing an eARC for an honest review.

I loved the book, this was the perfect second book in this series! I loved the family dynamics of this book. I loved the real enemies to lovers of this series. The writing was amazing and easy to read!

I have really enjoyed this series so far! Steamy but with a lot of heart and character development. I can’t wait for the next one!

Thank you to Canary Street Press for the eARC of Seven Year Itch, and to Netgalley for facilitating the ARC request.
"But no...no, no no. My woman is a demon. She plays with dark magic and delights in the misery of others."
If you're looking for a hilarious, heartfelt and spicy read, look no further. This was the first of Amy Daws' books, and I enjoyed myself. It was a quick, fun book but still had plenty of things that tugged on my heartstrings. Namely Dakota's journey with loving her body after weight gain. That was something I related to heavily, and seeing her fall back in love with herself sent such an awesome message.
I also loved Calder's journey of growth and standing up for himself. He got everything he never allowed himself to want, and it just felt like such a victory.
The way these two fight, the way they make up and everything in between made their romance believable. While there were some points I struggled with the writing, I was here for a good time, and a good time was had.
This book released on June 17th, and I highly recommend it if you love mountain men, beards, tattoos, firey FMCs, cat dads and journeys of self-love.

I am on a book buying/requesting sabbatical so I can try and lower my TBR list...this book broke me. I had to go back to Fletcher Mountain to read about Dakota and Calder ( the ultimate alpha cat daddy). I loved their banter and hate hate relationship from the first book and I just knew the sparks were going to fly with them ( and I was right).
Enemies to Lovers in rom coms are always so difficult but Amy Daws has this trope done perfectly. You felt the dislike, which slowly grows to mutual lust, and then into love but never lost the sarcastic quick cutting banter between the two. It had a perfect slow burn with lots of steam that kept you on the hook with the will they won't they.
The power point list was sexy and hot and really let them both explore the boundaries but really it allowed them to get to know each other which neither of them really wanted.
The only issue I had with the book is the "lie" about the wedding dress and what happened that caused their riff was a little rough. I just feel like it went against the main characters but maybe it really just gave us a glimpse on how much they have grown.
Anyway - this is a love, I can't wait for the third mountain men matchmaker so we can get the last brother's happily ever after!

Amy Daws delivers a spicy, heartwarming enemies-to-lovers romance in Seven Year Itch. Set against a breezy destination-wedding backdrop, this small-town contemporary is brimming with witty banter, emotional depth, and undeniable chemistry.
✨ What I Loved
• Enemies‑to‑Lovers Tension: The seven-year simmering hostility between our leads ignites deliciously when they’re forced into close quarters—starting with sharing a palapa at a tropical wedding. The transition from grudging tolerance to passion is both comical and cathartic .
• Vibrant Voice & Humor: Daws’ sharp, snarky dialogue kept me laughing. The male lead’s confident, tattooed-mountain-man persona contrasted beautifully with the heroine’s feisty independence—creating a playful push-pull that never felt overdone.
• Rich Small-Town Feel: From meddling family members to sister-in-law dynamics and slow-building trust, the community setting enhances the warmth and stakes of their journey toward a real connection .
A Few Quibbles:
• A couple of supporting character arcs felt lightly sketched—though I appreciated the lean focus on the leads’ emotional journeys.
• The steamy scenes are fire-hot, which is perfect for spicy romance fans, but might catch some off-guard if you’re expecting clean romance.
Final Thoughts:
Seven Year Itch is a fun, flirty read—with sexy tension, heartfelt growth, and a satisfying redemption arc for two people ready to let go of the past. Ideal for readers who adore enemies-to-lovers tropes, charismatic small-town settings, and characters who find love through fire and forgiveness.

Amy Daws and I go way back. All the way to her Harris Brothers Soccer series. I have loved the Fletcher brothers since getting introduced to them in Last on the List. It was so fun to see Everly grown up, Max and Cozy still going strong and to get to know Calder better.
Calder and Dakota's story has so much tension and just straight up raw emotion. The banter is delightful in every way! I just can't even find the words to explain how much fun I had. And it was spicy.
