A fun Halloween book to remind readers, young and old, that different can be good and to have a little fun in your life.
The rhyming was good and the pace of this book is quick. The illustrations are vibrant and inviting. A fun addition to any library.

An adorable book about a ghost who sounds a bit different. A rhyming book that doesn't always rhyme. Has a charming story for a young audience about being you even if that's a bit unexpected.

Our family loves Halloween and loved this story too! My 5 year old laughed at the silliness and it was a great conversation starter about being yourself. We will be reading this one again and again because you can never have too many Halloween books!

Ghost needs a bit of spontaneity in their life, instead of the old humdrum “Boo” all the time. Ghost starts to make different noises and when others look poorly on Ghost, he positively encourages the others to try something different. This would be great for toddlers and younger.

What a cute story to spark your little one’s imagination. I loved this story and how adorable the graphics were. It is so sweet and gets your child’s imagination going. Letting them know you can be whatever you want. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I will be adding this to my collection as soon as it’s available for purchase

What a sweet little story! Perfect for Halloween time, I would recommend for kiddos from one to two years old. Would love to grab this one for my youngest when it’s published.

This is an adorable book with a wonderful message. I love all things Halloween and while this is a Halloween story, I believe it goes a long way in encouraging children to step outside the box and do brave things, even when other people try to discourage you from it. The graphics are simple but beautiful, and I know my grandchildren and littlest library patrons would adore this book. Recommended!

Ghost says Meow is such a cute book that teaches kids about being unique. I thought it was a very cute kids book that is one that my three year old wouldn't be afraid of. It might help make Halloween less scary for him.

This is a fun little rhyming book about Ghost who wants to say anything but boo! This book is perfect for younger readers who are learning about themselves and where they fit in the world. I think the message behind the story that you don't have to be stuck in the box people make for you just because they have a preconceived idea about who you are and what you should be doing (or the noise you should be making in this case) is very important for children. This a book I will be buying to use for a resource in the classroom.

Omg this books was absolutely adorable! I will definitely be purchasing it for my nieces! A little ghost is having fun making noises that is theirs. Other ghoulish animals and friends say ghosts don’t say meow. After being sad about not saying things probably the little ghost ask why not try something new and went on to have a spooktacular night. This was absolutely a cute book and I am go grateful I got to read it!

My thanks for the ARC goes to NetGalley and North Star Editions | Jolly Fish Press. I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

GHOST SAYS MEOW! is a delightful book where a ghost explores Halloween noises.
I thought the message was fun to try other things. The friends figure out how to be together.

Such a cute children’s book! My son loved it. He is always pretending to be a ghost and found it hilarious when the ghost would say something other than boo. It will also be easy to read in dim lighting. All the words are high contrast in color, no dark blue backgrounds with black text. That is a big win in my book as we like to read before bed in dim lighting and not all books are able to be read in low light.

My kids and I loved this cute little story about a ghost, that is unwilling to fit in! Why should we all just say one thing, if there are so many to choose from? Cute illustrations and a quick read for littles.

Adorable story about a Ghost who realizes that it is okay to just be yourself. The ghost in the story says many things, but does not say BOO. Others find it to be wrong, but the ghost shows them that is okay to be different. Featuring adorable illustrations, cute rhymes, and a great lesson that would benefit all readers.

This book is about a ghost who doesn’t want to be limited to just saying “boo.” It’s a cute story about being yourself. Perfect for Halloween in a young elementary school classroom or for preschool story time. I love the illustrations, too.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is SO cute and a perfect read for preschoolers/early elementary age. Illustrations are darling and I can just imagine the glee on little ones faces when they are making the sounds along with the story.

This book is incredibly enjoyable, featuring vibrant contrasts and showcasing the uniqueness of individuals who don’t feel compelled to conform to societal norms. The characters are relatable to children, and the dialogue is simple enough for young ones to comprehend, even including the sounds of the characters. It would be a delightful addition to any child’s education or home library. As an educator, I believe this book would be an excellent fit for my toddler and preschool class.

Told in rhyme, this charming book follows favorite Halloween characters and what they say: Witches cackle, owls hoot, black cats hiss, bats squeak. However, the little ghost is determined to be different and defy the norms of saying “boo,” and she encourages her friends to “try out something new.” This is such an adorable book is the perfect addition to Halloween read-a-louds that will be sure to have your littlest students giggling. I really appreciate the message of individuality and embarrassing one's own uniqueness.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending a digital copy for review.

Not the best halloween picture book I've read but also not the worst. Our library probably won't be purchasing this one.

This book was absolutely adorable! Halloween is my favorite holiday, and so I always look for kids books for my kids centered around Halloween. Thanks to NetGalley I received an ARC of this book to read to my kids and it was perfect. I love how silly it was (so did my kids!). It even earned a smile from my 1 year old. I plan to buy this once it is published to keep on our bookshelf. This is the type of book I foresee reading over and over again to my kids all year round. Not only was the book adorable, but the pictures were great and the message was great too. Thank you for giving me a chance to discover this great book!
