Thank you so much to Jolly Fish Press and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.
This was such a perfect Halloween read for your young ones. I loved it, it was so entertaining, it made me laugh, it was twisty and so much fun. I know instantly that young readers are going to seriously enjoy reading this one.
From the large stand out print words, to the beautifully illustrated characters that we meet, to the hilariousness of the ghost himself, this book delivers everything you’d want for young readers on Halloween.
I really loved seeing at each turn when ghost was supposed to say “boo” he’d say something else and be illustrated that he shaped into what he’d said, it really added an extra hilarity to it and just made it even more fun.
I enjoyed that the characters all came together eventually and were able to all find the joy and fun together in what ghost was doing. I honestly had a great time reading this book. It keeps you entertained the whole time and you never know what ghost is going to say next.

I received an electronic ARC from North Star Editions through NetGalley.
Clever Halloween story about being yourself and trying new things. Readers see typical Halloween type beings making noises and having fun together. Then the ghost joins the fun and says a variety of things besides "boo." The others try to tell him he has to stick to the known way to be a ghost but he challenges them to experiment too. The illustrations are simple and capture the fun of being together. Younger readers will be able to follow the simple text and be surprised each time ghost speaks. I appreciate Kukla making readers think along with her characters.

One of those books, where a ghost refuses to make the noises it is supposed to make, because centuries of being sensible means you're conforming (bad) and not being your own self (yay) with your own noises (kersploink). Obviously I'm scoffing a little at the intent of this, but seeing a lack of magic in the artwork I have reread this, and kind of found a lack of – well, fun? Enjoyment? This is not as pleasurable as such a message-based book needs to be.

What a delightful Halloween story for young readers!! I think this is the perfect Halloween book for toddlers and preschoolers. I read it with my daughter in April and while she was initially confused as to why we were reading a Halloween book, she loved it haha. Especially the parts that were meant to be funny!
We loved the sound words being emphasized and thought the illustrations were beautiful.
Very well done and I’d definitely purchase for my daughter.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc. All thoughts are mine.

I love books that teach my little one sounds and that rhyme too and this ticks both boxes. I enjoyed the quirky ghost and the way it embraces itself and helps the other characters try something different too. This will be a lovely autumnal book to read with kids.

I love Halloween and autumn, so when I saw this little cat-eared ghost on Netgalley, I didn't hesitate for long!
In more detail, I didn't like the drawings, I find the style a bit too messy/simplistic (the bat and the pumpkin in particular).
In the end, though, the message is cute and benevolent: it's wonderful to be yourself and to be unique.

Ghost Says Meow! Is a really cute illustrated children’s story. The theme of Halloween is fun and animated for kids.
I must admit the story aspect slightly confused me in this book and I can’t imagine many kids staying entertained throughout, my little ones certainly were not. There is no particular ‘hook’ and the ending fell flat. As I said really beautiful illustrations but the story is definitely missing something.

Cute but a wish it had more depth and that there were more situations with the ghost. Overall good but wished this dealt more with being different and doing different things that what is expected of you.

This is a very goofy/silly book based around Halloween, but it incorporates making different sounds. The sounds that things make aren't always the correct sounds, but it got my younger children uncontrollably giggling and it was so fun to read with them. The graphics are very eye catching and we will be purchasing this for our physical library. This book suggests ages 4-8 would enjoy it, but I would say even younger children would enjoy this. Thank you to NetGalley and North Star Editions for the advanced reader copy.

The sweet and magical "Ghost Say Meow" has quickly become one of my toddler's new favorite books. Having already read through it more than ten times, I can attest to the charming and unique flow of its rhymes and spooky characters. This is a must-have for any Halloween enthusiast.

Adorable!! This one will be great for preschool-age kids this fall.
Ghost and their friends learn that it's important to always be yourself and express yourself however feels most true. Plus we review animal sounds and enjoy some spooky, fall vibes along the way. Highly recommend for our littlest learners!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Ghost Says Meow! is the perfect read aloud for younger children (think K-1). It plays with what we THINK animals/ghosties should say, and it calls it out while coming back around to being fun! I definitely will try to include this in my October list!

This was a very good cute book which talks abiut accepting people the way they are and the art style is cute and i would live to read this to my child near october

Adorable illustrations and a fun story with interactive and engaging content for preschoolers. Witches and skeletons appear in a graveyard setting, but all of the illustrations are cute, not scary. Encourages children to express themselves and resist conformity by playing pretend and being silly.

Squid absolutely loved this book. It made him laugh while repeating the lines back to himself, and, honestly, it was a lot of fun to read it with him. I personally found it to be cute and well-illustrated. Definitely toddler and auntie approved.

This was a super cute book, my 5 year old loved it. The illustrations were visually appealing and the story was engaging. My son loved the story and asked to read it again as soon as we finished. Definitely recommend this book, and not even for Halloween time. For us it was a hit even in spring!

Lauren Kuklas book "Ghost Says Mewo!" is beyond cute! As someone who loves everything spooky as much as cats this is gonna be the perfect kids book this fall and I am for sure see myself recommending this book at the bookstore.

Ghost Says Meow! Is a fun Halloween book for little kids to get in the spirit without getting scared.
When one little ghost decides it doesn't want to say "boo" it causes confusion with all the other Halloween characters.
But is anything wrong with trying something new? It might end up being fun, even for you!!
A heartwarming book about being yourself with unique artwork to match!
- I will be posting this to my social media during the week of its release -

Ghost Says Meow WAS SO ADORABLE!!! I can't shout it enough how cute and fun this book was! Between the illustrations, the guessing suspense, the rhyming (and intentional not rhyming), I can't reiterate enough what a perfect Halloween read this will be this season. My 4 year old son immediately made me re-read this after we finished because he loved it that much. I would recommend Ghost Says Meow! to any parent of a younger child to get in the Halloween spirit with fun read.

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.
This little Halloween book is perfect for anyone who likes to be a little different and a leader. Ghost says many things but not boo but why should she have to?
