Big thanks to NetGalley, Victory Publishing, and Victoria J. Price for a free copy of "Never Run From An Immortal" in exchange for an honest review.

I struggled with the first 40% of this; it was very confusing for me with the different types of vampires, fae, and humans. There were just a lot of different people and names as well. I had a hard time keeping up with them all. (There is a glossary of terms at the beginning.) It still took a while to get everything situated in my mind.
After I got more comfortable with this world, I really enjoyed these characters. Rea was independent and badass. She stood on her own two feet throughout everything; considering her past, that is a feat in itself. She's a savior to everyone but herself. 🥺
Adian and she had a lot in common! Shared trauma, similar upbringing, a darker sense of humor, and bantering. He is so misunderstood. They had an undeniable connection. The ending, y'all!? 🤯 I'll be waiting to see where the rest of this story leads.

Set in an urban fantasy world with a refreshing take on fantasy characters. There are vampires which have several different orders with unique gifts, witches, Fae and humans. The world building was well developed and interesting.

Aidan the MMC is a morally grey vampire and the FMC is a witch called Rae. They form an unlikely and unwanted alliance. I loved the tension between them. It is a slow but , rivals to lovers.

There is equal amount of romance/spice and plot, neither overshadows the other.

I really enjoyed Aidan’s and Raes story.

Expected publication June 17, 2025

Firstly I would like to say thank you to NetGalley for the arc.

Like a lot of fantasy series, it was a slow start with world building. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how invested I became once the book picked up a bit.

In particular I really loved Rae. I always have a soft spot for the feisty but secretly broken FMC and Rae was truly no exception. By the end of the book I had been through every emotion and I am very excited for the next book.

Sometimes it would be a bit confusing with so many different characters or information being introduced however, once reading the next book I feel like I will continue to adapt and understand this world better.

I’m excited to see what’s next and where the plot next goes from here!

The perfect combination of action, mystery and intrigue. Throw in marriage of convenience, forced proximity and enemies to lovers and you have a steller book! Honestly couldn't put it down and am now dying for more!

This story was intriguing and intense! It's dual POV and you have a confident kick ass chick, and a broody morally grey vampire. We get fantasy, slow burn, enemies to lovers, AND arranged marriage? Get out, we were sold, and the story was 🤌. This was fast paced and action packed, with a sprinkle of spice.

We really look forward to the next one 👀

Thank you Netgalley and Victory Editing for the ARC!

Wow!!!

Ok, this is my very first book of this author and I´m in love. We have a badass female lead character with a lot of secrets and a sexy brooding vampire working together to solve a mistery. We have a divided society where the strongest survive and others that are constantly trying to change it.

Add in the mix an arranged marriage, forced proximity, enemies to lovers slow burn romance and you get an addictive and explosive book you can´t put down!!

I´m really looking forward to see more of Rae & Aidan and what´s in store for them

I'm so glad that hav applied to ARC this book. It's one of the best I've read so far this year and now I'm a little mad at myself, I should have waited to read it because how can I wait for the next book?!

What you can expect in this new series:
Older characters (28+)
Various creatures, vampires, fae, witches
Slow burn
Enemies to lovers
Marriage of convenience
Found family
Mystery

This was a new author to me. It's always so fun to find new ones that you like. Will definitely read through her backlog.

WOW. WOW. WOW. For my first ever ARC read, this did not disappoint. I was hooked from the first chapter. This book delivers on multiple fronts!

Set in an urban world of advancing technology - we follow with a dual POV of Rae, a witch and Aiden, a vampire with a world on the teetering edge of a full out war. Both characters are written perfectly - I love a dual POV book.

Rae - powerful, confident and holds her own so perfectly. She’s here to show just how equally capable she is to fight her own battles.

Aiden - Morally grey & powerful with just the right amount of broodiness and possessiveness. My favourite type of MMC!!

The slow burn with these characters was just perfect! They were SO engaging throughout. 👌

This story was captivating and is full to the brim with action in this intense battle for survival.

I will be eagerly looking forward to book 2.

Thanks to NetGalley and Victoria Price for allowing me an ARC copy! ✨

Another incredible 5 star read. I loved the FMC, Rae from the get go. She has a spicy personality that fits the story well. I adored everything about her. The political intrigue was spot on and only enhanced the story into this incredible fast moving and exciting story. There was some spice and lots of interesting characters. It was third person with dual povs. I can't wait for the next one.

A good, quick read full of all the favourite romantasy tropes.

I really liked the main characters, and who doesn't love a book with a fuzzy pet or two? The FMC is a badass and takes no prisoners in getting what she wants. She has her sights set on a goal and she lets nothing stop her from getting it. However, I would have liked a bit more backstory on the characters. We get snippets, but I feel that this could have delved deeper.

The worldbuilding is good. I would have liked to see a bit more info about some of the magic and how it works. I would have also liked a bit more on the different orders and factions. This is explained, but again, I felt like more would have been better here.

Pacing is very fast. I read the very quickly. A lot happens in a short space of time.

I will look forward to seeing what happens next.

Thank you Victory Editing for the arc!

I loved Rae, she’s protective of her friends, cares about animals, doesn’t give a f about what people think about her, and she’s so strong!
Her and Aiden’s relationship was a slow burn filled with a ton of banter which I loved. Aiden is also a bad ass and the leader of the vampires but was super swoony when it came to Rae.
My one complaint is I wish the magic was a little more explained. Other than that if you enjoy urban fantasy with fae, witches, vampires, found family, and fun animal sidekicks then you’ll enjoy this story! I will definitely be picking up book 2!

This book had me hooked from the start and kept my interest all the way through!! So many plot twists towards the end that had me reeling. The banter and tension between the two main characters is absolutely incredible. Honestly, one of the best books I’ve read recently.

He is the enemy. Rae would do anything to save her brother even marrying the Vampire Lord. She needs his protection & money to be able to carry out her plan. Aidan knows that there is more to Rae than what she portrays. She is bidding something from him. But what will he do when he finds out the truth about her? Even after everything that they have been through will there still be hope? Will Aidan just go after her again?
Great characters a great read. The two main characters really belong together as they both want the same thing but will Aidan be able to find her?
Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Thank you Netgalley & publisher for the copy. This is my voluntary review.

Actual rating is 4.5 stars -

This book has everything, witches, vampires, fae, shape shifters, politics, civil unrest, rebellions.
There is something for everyone.

Add to that a human FMC in a fake marriage to a Vampire Lord MMC who hate each other and you are winning.

This was very fast paced with lots going on all the time. There were a number of twists and turns to keep you on your toes.

The ending! THE ending!

I had the best time reading this book!

I really enjoyed this one! I liked the different factions of vampires and all their different powers. The chemistry between Rae and Aiden was perfectly done. Rae was full of secrets and feminine rage, I loved it. The ending was *chef kiss* go get her Aiden!

4.25 ⭐

I loved every second of this book! I loved the characters, the plot and the storytelling. I love how both our FMC and MMC are both morelly grey. I also fell in love with all the side characters from Bae and Quinn to Nim and Reed and even little Ru. I love how there are witches, vampires, fae and humans and you get a taste of them all.

I would have loved a map (might just be missing in the ARC). I also thought that some of the connections between people were confusing which made the plot twist at the end less dramatic since I was trying to figure out who was who and how they were connected. That being said once I figured out what was happening, I loved the plot twist.

I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy of this and I am so excited for book 2!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

“No one touches what’s mine”

First, I will say I greatly enjoyed this book! This a dual POV urban romance takes place in a modern day city of Demesia with Humans, Vampires, Witches, and Fae vying for power. Rae and Aidan team up via a marriage of convenience to solve the ongoing disappearances happening in their city.

This a slow burn romance that rewards you for your patience with spicy scenes. Rae is a badass & calculating Witch while Aidan is a broody & possessive Vampire Lord. Rae and Aidan interactions are tension filled and full of sassy banter as they work together to achieve their own goals. Great plot twists and overall unique world. The reveal at the end has me on edge waiting for the next book!

I wished I had loved this more than I did. I found that I had trouble getting into the book, and the actual storyline reminded me of House of Earth and Blood – a book I didn’t overly enjoy. I hope this book finds its people!

Firstly I'd like to thank Netgalley & publishers for allowing me the opportunity to arc Read this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, witches, fae & vampires. I loved the banter between characters, and the story flowed really well.

There wasn't a moment where I felt I needed to have a break (as I do with some books) this had me fully immersed. I needed to keep going to find out what happens next.

Great characters, world building great, all really well written.
