So you think you don't have anything in common with your dog or that bird outside? Think again. we all have more in common and are more interconnected than you think!
I am not going to lie... even as an adult this little book is actually pretty impressive. I think this book was very educational without being too overwhelming, although there is a lot of information here! The illustrations are also really well done and perfect for kids!
I received a copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is like my zoology class, only written more simply and with brighter pictures. What makes animals the same? What makes us different? Kids reading this will have a basic understanding of how animals are classified into different groups. This is wonderfully done

A comprehensive, information-rich exploration of biology and how we, as humans, fit into the animal kingdom. Evaluating what we share in common with other animals, from DNA to vision and hearing, to making waste or breathing, this children's book is illustrated in bright colors and written in accessible, understandable language. Beyond focusing on similarities between us and animals (and amongst animals), it also examines variations and adaptations of different animals and provides a very interesting introduction to and basic education in in biology.
This book is perfect for the science-driven child in your life whose favorite question is "how?" Best suited for children ages 9 on up, I was still able to read it to my almost 5-year-old in a few sessions and have them stay interested, curious, and excited to read the book .The illustrations enhance the text and make it more understandable for younger children to comprehend concepts such as DNA and microbes, when accompanied by discussion with an adult.
I would definitely recommend this book to others who have or know children who are interested in learning about the natural world around them, specifically animal biology.

This is a great children's book that shows the connections between the animals on Earth, and the similarities that we all share. It also does a good job of describing the differences that make us unique. The illustrations are well done, and the text is easy to understand. Great nonfiction read to share with readers of all ages.

This is a delightful picture book about similarities between animals and humans. It goes through different components of an animal and how these are similar between species.

I so appreciate children non-fictions books that are as well written and as beautifully illustrated as this one is! My daughters have an entire collection of non-fiction books similar to this one, but this one is unique in the very direct (yet easy to understand) way that compares humans to a variety of animals. I especially loved reading the "We all make waste" page to my daughters - they giggled so much!

We All Animals by Ben Hoare and Christopher Lloyd, Illustrated by Mark Ruffle is an informative read that will have readers contemplating their similarities with the animal kingdom. As I read, I found a deepening connection with the natural world. This book introduces readers to basic biological, structural and behavioral concepts of animals, yet includes interesting fun facts, some I did not know and had to share! The illustrations were colorful and engaging. I would recommend this book for children who are interested in expanding their knowlege of animals to the next level. A must read for the animal advocates and a fun addition to Earth Day book displays.

A great and fun nonfiction book for kids! The bright colors make this entertaining to look at and read. The layout was perfect, and I all of the illustrations were fantastic. Kids will love all of the random facts in this.

The book was beautifully written. Overall, the book was well written and I did really enjoy it. Thank you for this advance reading copy!

I truly enjoyed this book, it does a terrific job identifying how we are like animals. The illustrations were lovely and the book was very informative.

Thank you for the ARC. My son is a little young to understand this book other than to learn the animals but wow was this educational, even for an adult. The pictures were great and this book was loaded with so much info about animals and humans. I love seeing how animals and humans are so much alike in so many ways.
