Bellefleur writes such great romances and I eat it up every single time. This is no different! I think this could be a fun read during Halloween, but like all of Bellefleur's work, it has great re-read potential. My only wish is that there had been less focus on the exes, because I really only was interested in the main characters.

This book was a cute sapphic romance and I love the author's writing. It wasn't very unique to me and that is why it is 3 stars but it is still enjoyable and I would recommend it. I look forward to future work from the author.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. This was a very fun read that had me laughing out loud multiple times, but also really cute at other times. I have already recommended it to multiple people.

Thank you to Berkley for this eARC. I swear the only thing that kept me from gobbling this up in one sitting was the need to “work” and “sleep”, nonsense. Sapphic Bedazzled with a hot queer lady demon yeah I am 100% sold. This was charming and funny and hot and kind of devastating in the best way. Alexandria’s books only get more incredible.

This book was an absolute miss for me.
I’m going to be completely honest when I say there was absolutely no chemistry between Sam and Daphne. I also hated Sam, by the way.
I felt more interested in the storylines with Sam and her ex than I did with her and Daphne.
Not impressed.

I absolutely loved this book and really enjoyed the plot as it was much different than most romances. I loved the many layers of the “Ice Queen” sassy devil, who ended being the truly caring one in the end. My only complaint is there was so much focus on the ex, at the end, I wanted more of the main characters. That is also a compliment though, since it shows how much I liked them.

This story kept me engaged for the most part but i also did feel like something was missing between the characters for me. I found it to be quite adorable with all of the gooey feelings and paranormal vibes. It was cute overall. I would definitely give it a read during October.

The Devil She Knows by Alexandria Bellefleur is a super fun and banter-filled romantic comedy about a struggling pastry chef with a broken heart and a mischievous demon with the the means to turn her whole life around, one way or another.
The MCs dynamic is the gas that keeps this story flowing with no breaks or rest stops. Their quick-wits, reluctant attraction, and complex character development keep the reader invested in every event of the plot even as their relationship unravels and blooms. These characters are forever changed by the end of the book, whether through a serious reality check (or six) or a existential and moral crisis that leads to quite the unexpected climax. The ending is one of the most romantic and hellish declarations of love I’ve read in a paranormal romcom; a perfect loophole that I never would’ve thought of.
I also loved the creativity and attention to detail of each wish’s scenario and shenanigans. Each one was so unique that it almost felt like six other novellas that are all connected through the characters and overarching story. I could imagine everything that was happening as if it were a movie, with the perfect balance of description and action. The world and storytelling were so engrossing that I was never bored or even confused from the contract technicalities or demonic politics/policies as they came up in the plot.
It’s an interesting change for Bellefleur, but a welcome one, especially for sapphic romance readers looking to try something new in the paranormal realm, but with all of the same comedic timing, steamy spice, and adorable affection that she brings to all her novels.

Oh my goodness. This was perfection and ripped me out of the reading slump I was in. It was an absolute joy to read. I felt so bad for Sam because she wears her heart on her sleeve (as do I) and to see her as disappointed as she was.. it broke me inside!
But then Daphne came and was so alluring that I felt myself swooning. Their banter was amazing and they felt so dynamic, which is tough to do. So many times I have experienced one-dimensional characterization, but I fully appreciated Sam and Daphne’s growth.
This book was fully a reminder to be yourself and the right person will love you for every little quirk that you have. It’s beautiful and I was enthralled from Page 1.
Thank you so much to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC. Off to read everything Alexandria Bellefleur has ever written

thank you netgalley and the publisher for giving me an arc in exchange for my honest review.
first of all, if you are a fan of bedazzled, you are going to LOVE this book.
second of all, i finished this in less then 24 hours. that should tell you how good this book is.
daphne is such a spunky, flirty, demon who has managed to get sam to sign a contract that in exchange for her soul she gets 6 wishes. and each and every single one of this wishes (except for two) sam uses on hannah, her ex.
throughout the book we can see where sam doesn’t want to come to terms that her and hannah’s relationship has ended. learning things about hannah that sam wasn’t even aware of.
i thought this book was the perfect amount of funny and romantic, daphnes little quips seriously made this book so worthwhile.
and yeah sometimes sam was a bit of a bitch, but we get to see her realize that maybe the person she has tried to change herself to love her really isn’t the person for her.
there is one singular spicy scene, which was banging me thinks. i’d rate it a 🌶️🌶️ out of 5. (there’s some innuendos and such in the story)
overall, if you want a bedazzled esque sapphic paranormal romance story this is the one for you!!

I’d like to thank NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Bedazzled but make it sapphic?! YES PLEASE
As kid I loved that movie and as an adult I loved this book. I really enjoyed the silliness of this. If you're looking for a romance heavy book that's not this. Like the movie it's not until towards the end MC's get together.

I wasn't particularly engaged by this book, though I absolutely love the premise and the cover. I just didn't feel any chemistry between the romantic leads and didn't love that the main character remains so obsessed with an uninteresting (and uninterested) ex for so much of the book.

Alexandria is an autobuy for me so I'm thrilled to leave a review for her latest ARC, The Devil She Knows.
Bottom Line: This book was good!
The plot is so creative and I was literally guessing until the end. The shenanigans Sam gets into are creative, entertaining, and unpredictable. I was giggling at the fanfiction nods to the Bear. However, I would have loved for the book to be longer so we got more time with Dalphne and Sam since most of the scenes were focused on Sam's relationship with Hannah. I understand the choice, but I would have loved more fun with main couple and more pining. They weren't the focus until 70% through the book so at times, I felt like I was supposed to be rooting for Sam and Hannah. I wish I got the sense that Sam was torn between chosing Hannah and chosing Dalphne.
Overall, this was different from Bellefleur's other books but a good, page turning read.

The book started off fast, you don’t get much background before you’re smack dab in the middle of the plot. The story seemed a bit rushed, it is a shorter book but with the concept and the tone of voice I could have liked another 35-50 pages to just make the story’s flow feel more sensical. That being said it was a good light hearted read!

ARC Review: The Devil She Knows by Alexandria Bellefleur
Pub Date: October 21, 2025
Thank you @berkleyromance for the #gifted copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
If you've ever seen the classic 2000 film Bedazzled and loved it - boy do I have a book for you!! The vibes were immaculate - a deal with a devil, wishes gone hilariously wrong, and chemistry to boot! I honestly was really enjoying this book and seeing how Daphne was going to mess with Sam's wishes.
However...and it truly does pain me to say this because I have loved all of Alexandria's books up to this point. I really felt like the romance between Daphne and Sam just came out of absolutely nowhere. Sam spends SO MUCH of this book hung up on her ex and trying to get her back that I just felt totally blindsided when she got together with Daphne and their relationship went from 0-100 so quickly. Seriously, every wish she had was about getting her ex back and she really doesn't have the realization that she deserves more until Daphne forces her to see it.
So...a bit of a mixed bag with this one - I think if you're in it for the Bedazzled vibes you might like - but if you expect a romance that makes sense...maybe look elsewhere.

Most wonderful life: demonic lesbian edition
Definitely a vibes book with a good dose of silliness. The romance definitely takes a backseat to the demon plot and I didn’t particularly feel like the hea was super earned but I had fun and Daphne is a hoot.

I had a really good time with this!
The idea of making a deal with the devil to get back with your ex sounds totally cliché but this was so much fun!!!
The banter and tension between Sam and Daphne was absolutely delicious, I loved how much they bickered and argued. Daphne’s spin on granting the wishes was so chaotic and random, I can safely say I didn’t see the outcomes coming- which was a great time. Alexandria Bellefleur did such a good job of making you root for Sam, right from the beginning I just wanted her to be happy and I couldn’t stop reading because I needed to see that happily ever after. Daphne was such a silly demon, her pink clothes and a chaos was hilarious.
If you are looking for a cute sapphic romcom about a demon, you’ve come to the right place. Alexandria Bellefleur will make you fall in love with Sam and Daphne while you are laughing out loud!

2.5 rounded up.
Overall, I’d say this book was alright.
This story follows Sam, a pastry chef who is looking to propose to her girlfriend. When it comes down to it, she’s completely embarrassed at the restaurant and broken up with.
When going home, a demon meets her in the elevator, granting her 6 wishes, but there’s a twist. If she uses all of her wishes, she loses her soul to the devil himself.
I wanted to like the storyline of this novel, I did. But I found it boring and it felt as if it jumped around a bit.
Sam has literally no self worth and just lets a woman walk all over her yet STILL would sell her soul to a demon just to make her happy.
That part wasn’t bad, a little slow and dragged a bit. The part that I really didn’t like was the last half. Sam knew this demon for literally less than 24 hours and feels all of these things for a demon WHILE still trying to get her girlfriend back.
There were a lot of plot holes at the end and a lot of key information felt like it was missing. The ending was a major rush and honestly? A bit anti-climactic.
The idea of the story was great, I loved the idea of it. The execution just fell flat for me. A bit disappointed because I was looking forward to this one.
Please note: I received an arc copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Thank you NetGalley for a copy.

This book genuinely shocked me. The first third is good, ramps up the excitement for the rest of the book. The next third, did fall flat a little bit to me. It was slightly repetitive but at the same time, that was the whole point. But the end... oh the end. Beautiful, emotional, heartbreaking and perfect. The character development was unexpected and I loved every second of it.

If you could have anything in the world, what would you ask for? When a marriage proposal turns sour, a meet-cute in an elevator with a demon turns Samantha Cooper’s entire life upside down.
With a handful of wishes and a hot demon to help her, Sam will get her girlfriend back even if she has to use every wish to make it so. What could ever go wrong?
Witty and endearing, this tale of “what if” is a delight.
