Stephanie Archer has done it again. Enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience. Amazing banter , Hockey Romance. love these two together , the chemistry. Definitely brings the meaning donโt judge a book by its cover. Must read !
Thank you Random House Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC !

Thank you to NetGalley, Ms. Archer and Random House Publishing Group/ Ballantine for the opportunity to read an ARC of this title. An honest review was requested but not required.
Overall this was a capital-T Treat. Hockey romances have been done and done and done but Ms. Archer's books are still go-tos. The camaraderie between the players particularly, and the staff too, seems fairly realistic. (Although the Storm are fortunate enough to have a larger-than-usual number of females (and attractive ones, at that) on-staff.) While I do not love miscommunications (which make up a huge portion of the backbone of this story), Ms. Archer set the story up so that it was pretty easy to see how each MC got to their POV and why they couldn't just "start talking" to clear things up.
Georgia Greene, team doctor, hospital resident in orthopedic surgery and recovery, and soccer coach, is a force to be reckoned with... but so is Alexei Volkov, defenseman, enforcer, and occasional reluctant mentor. The two of them together struck sparks and were a joy to behold. I actually enjoyed the mean-spirited beginning (let's not kid ourselves, both of them gave as good as they got) almost as much as the softening-up middle and the actually-factually-in-love ending.
I especially enjoyed the rookie, Luca Walker, and I'm sensing something in the air between Jordan the bartender and Coach Tate. ๐ค
Overall an easy 4.5 stars, I enjoyed this one immensely and am already in queue for #5.

I've been waitinggggg for the doctor and Volkov. My king. God, this was hot. I loved it so much. I can't stop thinking about "Get lost on your way to hell, Volkov?" "Nope, found it just fine." Their banter was unmatched. And now I'm sorry the coach and Jordan????? Hell yeah. Give them all to me.

Gloves Off by Stephanie Archer is an absolutely electric dislike to lovers marriage of (in)convenience between a stubborn veteran hockey player & the firecracker doctor that constantly banter & bicker with undeniable chemistry & connection. This is an epic slowburn sizzle of a sports romance that had me swooning & squealing with delight.
This is book #4 in the Vancouver Storm series, which could easily be read as a standalone. However, Iโve loved this entire series., so I do recommend them all.
Gloves Off is great for those looking to readโฆ

Gloves Off is a tennis match of a romance between two strong willed characters that canโt help but get under each otherโs skin & needle each other as they volley with dislike, pranks, the feels, irritation, respect, spice, enchantment & maybe even some love.
I was fortunate enough to listen to an audiobook of this & it was so good. It was a duet narration & I loved listening to it. Listening to the banter come to life was just perfection & felt like a movie for my ears.
If youโre looking for a dazzling spicy hockey romance, I highly recommend Gloves Off.
Massive thanks to the author & Dell for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for providing the ARC.
I have devoured this series by Stephanie Archer, and I love every single one of these hockey players, but I believe that Alexei Volkov is just an absolute delight of a main male character and Georgia is so much of a spitfire that she gives back as good as she gets. These two are volatile when they dislike each other and explosive when they let go of their past preconceptions and actually start to fall for each other. This book is full of banter, an emotionally stunted man who gives off "touch her and die" vibes for someone who allegedly hates, and a woman who cares so much about the people in her world, even though she's been burned, and maybe this surly Russian is the key to her continued happiness.
If you liked the other books in this series, you will like this one. If you're looking for a fantastic character-driven romance, then you'll also like this one. I am somewhat in love with Stephanie Archer after this series, and I cannot wait for the next book to drop.

I loved Georgia and Alexei's book. Stephanie Archer always captures your attention with her beautiful stories. The banter in this book was written so well and I loved it. their story is one that I will never forget. Alexei is the perfect grumpy MMC that I love to see. The way her cares about Georgia is so beautiful.
Thank you so much to Dell Romance for this ARC.

I loved everything about this book. That's the review!
Georgia is a part time team doctor and she also works at the hospital for an athlete recovery program. When her program loses its funding, she decides to tap into her inheritance to save the program. The problem, she needs to be married to access the funds.
Alexei has been struggling to get citizenship for him and his parents for years. He is facing the end of his career and if he doesn't get citizenship before the end of his career he will need to leave the country. His coach makes an offhanded comment about his marrying a citizen.
Alexei and Georgia HATE each other but they are both desperate, and since they both hate each other, there is absolutely no chance they will develop feelings. They can get married and both get what they want and leave without getting hurt.
The things I loved about this book:
โข The banter! I loved every second of their bickering banter
โข Their wedding vows
โข Her love of shoes
โข His love of her shoes
โข The bunnies
โข Alexei's secret soft side
โข Alexei's jealousy
โข Georgia's reaction to Alexei being hurt
โข The found family/friend group
I devoured this book, I did not want to put it down. I love a book with fun banter and this one was FULL of banter and teasing and shots at each other and I ate up every last word. I loved how they both started to learn about the other one, and how they both learned that they might have been wrong about the other person. I loved the respect that they slowly gained for each other and that seemed to be what grounded their relationship. I loved Alexei's support for Georgia and her work, and I loved Georgia's respect for Alexei and all he accomplished in his career.
This is now one of my favorites of the series and I can't wait to see where this series goes next.

alexei and georgia fucking HATE each other. but they both need to get married. he needs canadian citizenship and she needs her inheritance to save her rehab program. so the two of them decide to get married hehehe
I loveeeee marriage of convenience. add in their teasing and bullying and hatred of each other? the banter was top tier as it is in any of the vancouver storm books. this series truly is a forever favorite.
alexei falls sooooo hard for georgia. the groveling ON HIS KNEES for her. literally heโs like step on me I can take it. georgia is so strong and sheโs probably my fav fmc of this series. I adore her while also being jealous of her shoe collection. did I mention the groveling???? bc god damn. she also has two bunnies named stephen and damon bc sheโs a TVD girl and I loveddddd that.
I loved their individual journeys in this one!! they really had to figure themselves out and what they wanted while also falling in love with each other.
thank you so much dell romance for the gifted copy!!!!!
what to expect
โข marriage of convenience
โข hate to love
โข bullying as a love language
โข groveling

Im a sucker for a good hockey romance and this one hit the spot! Itโs the fourth book in the Vancouver Storms series. I absolutely loved the banter and how โbullyingโ was their love language because thatโs me and my partner. We joke and tease each other all the time and at the end of the day we know we have each otherโs backs. There is an age gap in this book and it made me love it even more. The .5 is because of Damon and Stefan. The most iconic names for 2 bunnies๐
โ Georgia may be one of my all time favourite FMCs. I love how quick she was with her comebacks, and I LIVED for the high heels. The fact that sheโs a bun mom as well!! Double points because their names are Stefan and Damon ๐ฅบ
โ Alexei the grumpiest grump of them all. Watching his cold exterior melt overtime as he learned more about Georgia and grew closer to her was everything. His love language is gifting bouquets, and what a great love that is.

OMFG. What a book ๐ญ๐ฅ I am SO IMPRESSED. The author wrote two characters who truly hate each other but have no other solution to their problemsโฆ except MARRYING EACH OTHER?! Like pls if you love enemies to lovers AND marriage of convenience ๐ PICK. THIS. BOOK. UPPPP!!!
What I loved most about this book is the dual POV! Both of them have these wildly wrong assumptions about each other, and once they get married? Ohhhh boyyyyy the truth starts to unravel and itโs pure perfection ๐ฎโ๐จ I was living for everything the snarky comments, the โwait a minuteโฆ he kind of cuteโ moments, and THEN the โwe gotta play the part, kiss meโ ๐ฉ๐ AHHHHH screams internally and externally.
Alexei is the ultimate grump all he cares about is hockey ๐ and has zero time for anything else. A fake marriage to the person he hates most isnโt supposed to change thatโฆ until ๐ he starts getting to know her (cue the forced proximity in the BEST POSSIBLE WAY) And our fiery Georgia?? She needs this marriage for her research and little does she know... sheโs about to gain her top supporter ๐ญ๐ THEY. ARE. PERFECT. PERIOD.
I want to read like 14 more of these immediately ๐๐
The author absolutely knew how to make me swoon. And pleaseโฆ the way โmy wifeโ was used? I MELTED. Every. Single. Time ๐ญ๐ Didnโt disappoint for a second. 5 stars!!! I ATE IT UP.

the bickering was so funny and literally so cute. this book had me giggling sooo much. i love seeing two people who literally hates being near each other become OBSESSED WITH EACHOTHER and canโt KEEP THIER HANDS TO THEM SELVES to finally UNDERSTANDING EACH OTHER!!!SWOONINGGGGGG, not just for the mmc but also for the fmc. georgia was such a independent cool ass woman loved her toooo the damn bone! alexieeee i knew he had it allllll THIS MAN IS A MANNNNNNNNN if you know YOUUU KNOOOWWW!! and georgia is one lucky girl !
read this series or this book if you want a gooood timmme!!!

If you like enemies to lovers, you will love this book. The dual POV was perfect! You see all along that there really is no hate. Great pacing, tension, and romance. Can be read without any prior knowledge from the other Vancouver Storm novels.
Thank you to Ballantine and NetGalley for providing this ARC.

This was my first book by Stephanie Archer, I now need to go back and read the other sin the series. I love a true enemies to lovers, add marriage of convenience and Iโm sold. These two couldnโt stand each other, that changes over time and the journey was perfection!
Alexei plays for Vancouver Storms hockey team, heโs close to reaching retirement. If this happens, him and his parents could lose their citizenship. Georgia works part time as the teamโs doctor, she needs to be married in order to get her inheritance. These two come to an agreement, they would both benefit from a marriage of convenience. Will these two go from hating each other, to loving each other? ๐คญ
I loved these two so much, from hate to love. These two couldnโt stop looking at or thinking about each other, as much as they wanted to. You can feel how much they hate each other, while simultaneously being attracted to one another. It made the banter AMAZING! I loved this book, excited to go back and read the others!
Thank you Stephanie Archer, Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC!

In her author's note, Archer wrote that she has been looking forward to writing Alexei and Georgia's story since she started the Vancouver Storm series and I absolutely was too - marriage of convenience meets enemies to lovers? Sign me up.
The pretext for the marriage of convenience is a little thin (although I will say that Alexei's need for Canadian citizenship rings a bit more painfully true to life with all the recent deportations in the US), but the chemistry between these two pops off the page. I also loved that the book doesn't judge Georgia for being incredibly passionate about her work and career - part of the happy ending she is seeking is a husband who would be a hands on father.
It might be June, but this book definitely put me in the mood for a snowy day and a blazing fire in the ski country of British Columbia. I am not ashamed to admit I stayed up until 2am to finish this one. The spice and the ongoing friendships did not disappoint. This one is perfect for fans of Chelsea Curto and Elle Kennedy. Thanks to Ballantine for the early copy.

teetering between a 5 stars for the vibes alone but realistically itโs like a 4.5!!
they are EVERYTHING TO ME!! i loved this so much
Normally, I am not a fan of enemies to lovers in romance books but I thought this was done SO well!! The banter was EVERYTHING to me!! It was so obvious that they were both attracted to each other, hated that, and therefore resorted to banter and bickering. From the second Georgia moved in, it was obvious that they both wouldn't be able to ignore the tension between them anymore and I ate it up!!
Georgia was such a delight. She was strong, independent, hard-working, and overall very caring. I loved the way she was breaking barriers in the workplace and how she wouldn't back down when presented with a challenge. Alexei was so well matched for her! I love myself a broody mmc who hates himself for being attracted to someone he doesn't believe he deserves!! Seeing them build trust with each other was beautiful. They were both SO HOT!!! Stephanie Archer always has the best plots mixed in with the hottest spice and I truly had such a good time with this book.
I love them!! I love this series so much!!! Thank you to Dell and Netgalley for this eARC!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book. I want to state upfront that I did DNF this book at 10% after realizing I was not the intended audience for it.
This book revolves around the fake relationship/marriage between a professional hockey player and his team doctor as they navigate their own personal challenges: losing a chance at citizenship and losing inheritance money. Since it's enemies-to-lovers and a sports romance, I really wanted to fall in love with this book. I was excited about reading it just from the description because enemies-to-lovers is my favorite trope. However, it falls very flat in the beginning for me, and I just can't find the will to keep reading it.
The two main characters - Alexei and Georgia - seem more like children having a fight on a playground than grown adults at odds. The banter isn't believable to me and is even misogynistic in many ways that just puts me off wanting to read more from Alexei's POV. Additionally, there is barely any chemistry between the two, so I can't imagine them actually getting married (even fake) and having true love spawn from it.
I can imagine many, many other people will love this book, but sadly it just isn't for me!

I love Ms. Stephanie books! Can never go wrong reading one of her books especially her series. I love the cover of this book.

This series is by far one of my fav hockey romance series and this book just really solidified it!!
Alexei and Georgia were absolute perfection and this gave the movie war of the Roses!! Oh they hate each other alright and the way they prank one another to get on each otherโs nerves was absolutely PRICELESS!
Marriage of (in)convenience, enemies to lovers (no like really hate each other!!), age gap (hubba hubba) and of course the amazing found family. And the microtropes were troping in the best kind of ways!!
And to nobodyโs surprise, Alexei knows how to whip around a โmy wifeโ like the most dangerous weapon there is โ youโve been warned, this one will have you panting and maybe even barking (or bunny hoppingโฆ do with that what you will)

Thank you Penguin Random House for an e-ARC of Stephanie Archers new book, Gloves Off!
Gloves Off is the 4th book in her Vancouver Storm series BUT is is my first time reading Stephanie Archers work and let me tell you, I have already purchased the precious 3 books so I can continue reading this series!!
I loved Stephanieโs writing and the story between Alexei and Georgia! The banter and tension these two have is fantastic and I really enjoyed reading their story. This is not only a marriage of convenience but true hate-to-love romance. They may hate each other in the beginning but itโs absolutely clear that they have undeniable chemistry! The reason it was 4 starts instead of 5 was because Alexei in the beginning of the book felt a little *too* mean for me. I understand they are supposed to absolutely loathe each other but some of the things he says/does to Georgia wasnโt my favorite. I do feel he redeems himself a little bit later on though!
Overall, I enjoyed this book and recommend it to readers who love a marriage of convenience and amazing banter (and a hockey romance of course!).

4.5/5 โญ๏ธ, 2.8/5 ๐ถ๏ธ, 0.2/5 ๐ง
๐ Marriage of Convenience
๐ Hate to Love
๐ Sports (Hockey) Romance
๐ Dual POV
This is easily my favorite of this series. The previous ones werenโt super memorable for me, but I remembered these characters. I loved that they had personality, and their own stories that set them apart (when you read so many hockey romances they sort of all blend together).
The hate to love sometimes feels forced at times because I think itโs really hard to express, and I thought this one did it pretty well. Even the miscommunications (a trope I typically despise) made sense in this one.
I also found myself laughing often in this book, which Iโm looking for in a light hearted sports romance! If youโre looking for a good time with an easy romance and some laughs, I would recommend this one. There was some great building tension, banter, and push and pull between the characters. I really enjoyed it!
Thanks to NetGalley and Dell and Stephanie Archer for the arc.
