Julie Danneberg’s “Jitters” series has been a part of my classroom library for as long as I can remember, and I can’t wait to add her newest treasure Teacher Jitters to my collection. This is a delightful (and very realistic!) look at the fears that a teacher faces when she has to spend a day away from her students at a Math workshop.

I love how the students take what they’ve learned about staying positive and calm to ease their teacher’s mind. Loaded with notes of positive affirmations and markers that she can doodle with just in case, Mrs.Hartwell’s day of learning is a success.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC that will be a welcome addition to my classroom as soon as it’s released!

Teachers get jitters, too. As a teacher, I loved reading this because it is exactly how I feel anytime I go to a PD not at my district. I know no one and don’t know what to expect. It’s also how I feel on the first day of school with no students.

Thank you for addressing that anxiety and nerves are normal, even as adults. I think it’s important to kids to know that, too.

Thank you Charlesbridge and NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions here are my own.
