A story by Heather McCollum is always a treat! I absolutely loved this second book in the Brotherhood of Solway Moss series, Tierney & Kenan's story is one that had me saying..."THIS is why I adore Highland romances!!! When the heroine of the story is strong, courageous and brave and the hero is just as strong, courageous and brave, then you know it's going to be a story worth reading. I love characters that have heart and are willing to do everything to ensure their loved ones are safe.

I must also mention Kenan's aunt Morag....what a character! I just loved her to bits!!! It was also fun to see characters from the first book and find out how they're doing:)

The whole story is very well written, the characters are well developed and the romance part will keep you curling your toes and have heart palpitations! lol Thank you, Heather, for writing books that we can get lost in and dream of another time and era.

I love love loved this! I didn’t realize there was a first book in this series when I began reading it but you can bet I’m going to read it and future books!
Such a great premise! These warring Scottish clans brought together by the men who were captured by the English so that the Isle of Skye would be stronger against England. And the women they fall in love with each having an affinity for one of the four elements? Brilliant.
I couldn’t get enough of Tierney and Kenan. And his Aunt Morag is the absolute best! I can’t wait for more of this series. 5 stars!!

This is the second book in the Brotherhood of Solway Moss series, and I highly recommend reading the books in order for maximum enjoyment. Tierney is desperate to save her daughter and her clan from the brutality of another arranged marriage. So much so that she is willing to got to the extreme measure of kidnapping a potential groom. Little does she know he is already betrothed and breaking that betrothal could lead to war between multiple clans. But can Kenan really walk away without helping? This was a terrific historical romance that blends everything, romance, adventure, a touch of humor, intrigue and oh yeah romance. Looking forward to more in this series.

The Highlander's Fallen Angel was a solid read with a classic Highland romance feel—brooding hero, a heroine with a mysterious past, and plenty of dramatic tension. The setup had promise, and I appreciated the emotional undertones, especially as the characters opened up to each other.

That said, the story didn’t fully hook me. Some parts felt a bit slow or predictable, and while the romance had sweet moments, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. The writing was decent, and fans of the genre will likely enjoy the familiar tropes and moody Scottish atmosphere.

Overall, it was an okay read—not a favorite, but not a bad way to spend a few hours either.

This was an entertaining read with plenty of action, particularly in the second half of the book. I did like Kenan, he was such an honourable man who wanted the best for his clan. Tierney was desperate to escape a marriage to a violent man and had some scary ideas on how to save herself and her clan. She was very impulsive and didn’t think of what would happen if things went wrong, They had an instant attraction but were at odds with one another as well. They both had difficulties with their fathers that they needed to come to terms with. There are a number of villains to add interest and action. It is a steamy read and it does have a happy ending. I look forward to reading the next in the series. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The story literally starts with the heroine falling for the big muscular highlander - and by falling, we mean off a cliff on a contraption that leads to a very stranger turn of events.
Kenan is interested and slightly ticked by the blonde haired angel Tierney who has one itsy bitsy MASSIVE favour from him. She's desperate enough to take pretty drastic messures, which leads our big strong man to help defend her clan against a cruel enemy.
It was all meant to be an arrangement.
Fake.
Now, it was all becoming too real.

Absolutely love this series and so happy I came back for more after reading the first book.
Tierney has had it rough in her marriage life, with the only good thing coming out of it being her daughter. After loosing one husband, she's now near trapped with another monster. She's a strong woman and will do anything to save her people and family, but she's also willing to save herself.
Kenan refuses to accept he's a kind man, but let's face it, he's a grumpy sweetheart!
Poor lad also gets hit in the head a couple of times!
Thrown a few unexpected surprises and last minute twists, just to zing up the story!

Historical romances filled with hot, hulking Scotsmen and fierce, headstrong women are truly some of my favorite.

I love Tierney. She is just so strong, and ferocious, and brilliant, and I am both terrified of her and want to be her best friend. She is an outlier, and the women she attracts are just as fierce and fabulous as she is.

And I love the way she softens Kenan’s hard parts, and strengthens his weak parts. They are just such a fabulous pairing, and such a strong balance of manhood and womanhood—both balancing the other.

Also—Aunt Morag might just be the best character in the book. What a character.

Heather McCollum’s writing reminded me why I fell in love with these kinds of stories in the first place—strong characters, sweeping landscapes, and high stakes driven by loyalty, love, and courage.

The second book in the series featuring four Scottish warriors who are captured by the English & they pledge to work towards peace amongst their clans. Whilst it could be read on its own characters do overlap. I loved both Kenan & Tierney who locked horns from their first meeting & continued to do so throughout the book but their chemistry also sizzled. I loved their journey to a HEA which had quite a few obstacles plus she had to learn to trust again. There were adventures, intrigue, steam & some humour which added together made foe an engrossing book

The plot was so good and kept me engaged the entire time. I loved seeing such a strong female main character in Tierney alongside Kenan who would do anything for her. Their passion for uniting Scotland drove their relationship and the plot and I loved every minute of it. The spice was spicing and I'm absolutely going to be reading the rest of the series!

The Highlander’s Fallen Angel is a wonderful new story by Heather McCollum with a daring heroine, brooding hero, and swoon-worthy enemies-to-lovers romance. Tierney MacNicol is a force to be reckoned with. She's clever, brave, and willing to risk everything to protect her clan (and herself) from a brutal future. Her plan to drug and kidnap Kenan Macdonald was as bold as it was desperate and shows how determined she is to do right by her people.

Kenan was just as fantastic! Just months after escaping imprisonment alongside three other men from other clans, he is committed to uniting the clans and forging a stronger Scotland. And though Tierney kidnaps him, he quickly becomes a strong, steady, and supportive presence in her life. I like how he recognized Tierney’s worth almost immediately and didn’t hesitate to stand beside her, even when it meant risking alliances and political gain. The chemistry between Kenan and Tierney was electric, with tension and tenderness woven together with fantastic banter and some really heartwarming moments that made me root for them to find their happiness together.

One of the other highlights for me was Morag. Loved her! Sharp, cunning, acerbic, and full of heart, Morag added so much to the story with her wisdom and schemes. Her support of Tierney and Kenan’s relationship was both hilarious and touching, and every scene she was in had me smiling. She added so much to the story, and I loved how her meddling always came from a place of fierce love.

I enjoy Heather’s historical romance books. They have become my favorite reads.

Tierney and Kenan come together to fight for her land b while doing so, they both fall in love with each other. This story has a strong woman along with a strong man to help her. I loved the emotions and feelings both characters share with each other.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series. This is becoming one of my favorite series.

Just wrapped up The Highlander’s Fallen Angel by Heather McCollum and I’m still swooning. Iain MacLean = the ultimate broody Highlander, and Catriona? Total badass.

This book had it all—romance, danger, secrets, and that slow-burn tension that makes you want to yell “just kiss already!” Loved the Scottish setting, loved the characters, and definitely need more of this series in my life.

If you’re into historical romance with heart and heat, this one’s worth the read!

It's been a while since I've read a Scottish romance and The Highlander's Fallen Angel hit the mark and reminded me of my love for them. I was smitten with it. Tierney and Kenan's story was an unconventional courting that I quite enjoyed. I loved how fierce, protective and relentless they were over the ones they loved and each other. It was such an interesting and intriguing journey. I loved the world, characters, the stakes, the tension - things got pretty intense a few times. It was packed with political alliances, treaties, twists, turns, plots, plans and ploys. It was an awesome read. My first by this author but certainly not my last.

Entangled, yall never disappoint, I swear. Your authors are top. freaking. notch.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Heather McCollum is my favorite Scottish romance writer. I look forward to each new book. Lately, she seems to be publishing shorter books, quicker, but they aren't as developed. Still good but not as great. Tierney and Kenan's story is a fast-paced plot-driven. I would have liked to have had more character development. Kenan almost immediately calls Tierney's daughter his own, but I would have loved to see him fall in love with her too and take on a parental role. The story itself was interesting, and McCollum almost always creates swoony heroes, which Kenan is. I'd definitely wait a little longer for my next Heather McCollum fix though if it gives her more time to fully craft her characters' love story.

This was such a great read! I really enjoyed it and it really satisfied my love for hot Scotsmen. I only wish it was faster paced. I found there was a lot of talking with not much action until towards the end of the book.
