This book had me hooked from the start to the finish. Loved the dual point of view. Sonya character development was great and well written. Thank you Netgally for the chance to read this book early.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishing team for early access. Swipe was an interesting book because I've always liked reading about the negative sides of dating apps and what types of people are attracted to this modern way of finding a partner or a large amount of incidental distraction. Add to that the occasional murder and you get a real treat like this book. The book wasn't too deep in the sense that it unnecessarily went into long stories and characters' points of view on various topics, which makes it a relatively good choice for a wide range of readers who want to read a good mystery on the go. The dual POV was great because it's always more interesting to see two sides of a story (Sonya mostly had more of my attention because of her revenges and secrets). Unfortunately, it was a little easier for me to predict what would happen at the end and somehow I imagined it a little differently at the end and it seems to me that some of them didn't take the situations they went through seriously at all and gave up on their online search for a partner. - which means the vicious cycle just continues. I like that cheating wasn't an exclusive story typically assigned to just one gender but encompassed both which helps to dispel that stereotype of one side cheating more. Overall very interesting and a potential re-read on a particularly uninteresting day.

Bonnie Traymore and R. G. Belsky's Swipe throws readers into a high-stakes thriller where modern dating takes a terrifying turn. Fed up with dismal internet dates, Sonya Romano decides to "teach a lesson" to thearmy men she's encountering on her dating app. But her confrontation with one, a married man posing as single, tragically results in his death, forcing Sonya to confront the horrifying reality that she's gone too far.

Meanwhile, disgraced former Pulitzer nominee Jake Parker is desperate for a comeback. His boss gives him a new assignment: go undercover and produce a sensational "clickbait" story about dating apps. Things get interesting for Jake when another married man from the app is murdered, leading him to suspect a serial killer might be targeting cheaters.

As Jake closes in, Sonya scrambles to cover her tracks. When they finally meet, a powerful mutual attraction battles with deep suspicion. Neither Sonya nor Jake realizes that a truly "deranged psychopath" is lurking closer than they think, posing a far greater danger to them both. Can they uncover the truth before one of them becomes the next victim? Swipe is a fast-paced, twisty ride that explores the dark side of online connections and the deadly consequences of hidden desires.

Join MetMee, an online dating app that helps singles find partners. Not everyone in the dating app world is there for the right reasons. I’ve never been on a dating app so this book gave me a glimpse into this world. Secrets are everywhere as people try to protect their identity, either for safety or because they are cheating.

My favorite character was Jake. Jake is a nice guy who wants to get to the truth. In a story where you don’t know who is telling the truth Jake will find the answers.

RG Belsky and Bonnie Traymore in their new novel SWIPE has put together all the troubles those dating apps or online dating can bring. Especially to anyone looking for love in the wrong places. This story has looked in depth at the unsuspected danger, risk, threat and guilt that comes to married people who think it's casual or normal that they can cheat their spouses behind their back. It's very evident that they are lonely, desperate or unhappy in their lives or relationships.

Jake, a Journalist at New York Banner is hellbent to prove the mysterious death of Matt Furman. Matt a hiker and a married man who dated women online behind his wife and children's back ended up falling down accidently to the Hudson river. Was Matt's death a tragic accident or murder? The irony is that Matt was dating Sonya online. Sonya disliked Matt at their first encounter at the Palisade trail. Jake who covers stories desires to know why Matt committed infidelity posing as a single man on a dating app? At the same time Jake thinks Dr Russell Brigg's case of harassment by a woman online has something to do with Matt Furman's death.

This isn't a romance book, but a crime thriller where Jake is trying to solve a mystery which could be a murder and Sonya is hiding her guilt having used a dating app. The rapid narrative rendered by characters Sonya and Jake kept me curious for many hours with the unputdownable twisty scenes and plot that you never expect is coming.

I don't want to give out spoilers, you have to read till the end of the story to figure out what all the characters are up to. When the death count has increased and murder doesn’t stop here, detective Sergeant Pete Jeffries investigates on the side.

I felt the novel is full of unpleasant consequences and disasters of using dating apps, that RG Belsky and Bonnie have brilliantly captured in their prose and dialogues where those women and men have secret lives and how they deceive themselves online.

What I think about dating apps is that it is better to be safe than sorry because of the anonymity it carries. SWIPE is a must read novel for psychological thriller and crime fans. I enjoyed reading this novel as it kept me on the edge when the shocking truth unfolds, not a story for the faint hearted.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY, PARTNERSINCRIME TOURS, AND RG BELSKY AND BONNIE TRAYMORE FOR AN ADVANCE COPY FOR MY HONEST REVIEW.

I would give a 5 star rating *****

This book immediately puts you right in the middle of a murder and instantly you're hooked! The reader follows Sonya, who's disillusioned with the dating scene, specifically the dating profiles of men who lie about almost everything and after catching her latest match in another lie (he's married) things end badly but she's excited by the potential to make these men pay for their transgressions! Jake is a reporter forced into doing an investigative story undercover on the dating apps and what happens in that world of communicating online with someone you don't really know. So, guess who meet and neither knows in the beginning who or what they're getting themselves into!? This is the third Bonnie Traymore novel (she actually cowrote this with Belsky) and she's starting to grow on me!

thank you to NetGalley and the publishing team for early access to this title in exchange for an honest review.

the perfect summer read for fans of LM Chilton or Frieda McFadden. this book was fun. no, it wasn't that deep, but I still had a silly goofy time with this. I feel like my whodunnits have been either blatantly obvious or random twists that don't quite add up. the ending in here was actually refreshing in that it quite well done. I was surprised AND it did make sense. there were some plot gaps in here, but that's honestly fine with me. this book presented to me as a lovely summer popcorn read. it sought out to entertain me, not win literary awards. so I'd say it accomplished the task at hand

I want to thank @netgalley, R.G Belsky, Bonnie Traymore for selecting me as one of their ARC Readers , I love doing arc reviews especially for indie authors.

This thriller is the definition of being careful who you meet online and brings out the fears of online dating. I love that’s is from a female and male perspective of what it’s like to go on dates, what I admire about the main character Sonya is that instead of falling head over heels for all the men she is outing them for the liars, cheaters and bad people that they are, but that’s when things start to go astray, things get dark and things get suspicious, two men ends up dead but who is it and why is this all linked? I do feel sorry for these men though I mean it’s not their fault they ended up on a date with a sociopath

I’ll be posting a full review on the blog soon

Lots of twists and turns. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Definitely a 5 star must read. I recommend this book

I liked this psychological thriller exploring the deceptive and sometimes dangerous nature of online profiles. This novel focuses dating app profiles and what threatening ideas may be lurking behind an innocent appearing online presence.

The narrative is seen from different points of view. Sometimes readers revisit the same scene from the different viewpoints. As a psychological thriller, readers are aware of much the various characters are thinking. There is some serious suspense near the end of the book and a few well timed twists spaced throughout, otherwise it is a plot that moves long at a consistent pace.

One pet peeve I have is a character experiencing a frightening dream that is not set in italics. The authors did that here. Other than that, this is a good psychological thriller that should make every reader think twice about mindlessly believing an online profile.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

An exciting and genuine page-turner!

SWIPE, a new psychological thriller, is an exciting and genuine page-thriller by R. G. Belsky and Bonnie Traymore that absolutely grabbed me from the start and refused to let go. When an ill-conceived confrontation with a cheating husband masquerading as an eligible bachelor goes sideways, a young woman flees an accident scene rather than call 911 for assistance. While she is sweating it out, wondering if the police are going to show up on her doorstep, across town, an online journalist working on a lifestyle story about dating apps inadvertently stumbled upon the story and begins to speculate about the police’s acceptance of its accidental nature.

Sonya kicks off the story with a shocking confession. Her actions start out, if not innocently enough, at least with good intentions, colored with a dose of retribution. However, she’s naïve to think her pseudo-vigilante actions will make a difference.

Told from dual points of view, those of Sonya and Jake, readers are privy to the inside track of their thoughts and emotions. Their backstories are slowly revealed, giving additional layers to the narrative and what drives them to enter into a dating app. As the story unfolded, the authors kept me on the edge of my seat with plot twists and turns. But honestly, the breathtaking opening of the book floored me, and I was riveted to my reading chair for the rest of the evening as the drama played out.

With its stunning beginning and relatable characters, I recommend SWIPE to readers who enjoy psychological thrillers.

Thankyou to both Net galley as well as Books Go Social for the opportunity to read the ARC of this book.
In this mystery thriller, the pitfalls of online dating and its dangers are outlined in a concise and thorough manner as well as the fragility of the human psyche in people who seem composed and normal at first glance only to be unhinged and psychotic deep down when things don't go their way.
The story was comprised of multi POVS throughout with the main character being treated cruelly and towards the crux of the book followed by someone whom she is connected to due to her job but doesn't know in person at all until her life is put in danger. It was a fast paced and suspenseful plot, comprised of multi layered settings which added depth and mystery to the story as a whole.
In terms of the relationship dynamics, I feel it taught the main character of Sonya not to trust people on face value as well as the importance of maturity and having a more critical and realistic outlook when dating and on life and its ups and downs in general.
It was an enjoyable and gripping read from start to finish.

So twisted! Sonya is looking for revenge for bad online dates and Jake is doing a report on online dating when he thinks a killer is targeting cheaters online. So creepy!

Swipe got my attention in the NetGalley catalog with its riveting description: online dating gone bad. We are not strangers to dating apps and the dangers of meeting someone for the first time.
Sonya decides to wants to get revenge on sketchy guys she meets on her dating app. When one of them falls to their death in her presence, she realizes she has gone too far.
Jake Parker is a writer whose given an assignment to go under cover and make a click-bait story about dating apps.
When another married man on this app is murdered, Jake and Sonya must race against time to find out who the deranged psychopath is.
I enjoyed this thriller because it was quick and tense. I also liked Jake and Sonya's chemistry, as it was an added bonus for a psychological thriller. I've never read this author before and look forward to what she puts out next.
I was guessing all the way to the end of who the murderer could be. The dating app element added additionally suspense since I'm no stranger to dating apps. I will be staying away from dating apps moving forward.

Both authors have impressive credentials when you look them up, though their names were unfamiliar to me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I found was a quirky, spirited, and easy-to-read story centered around dating apps and the darker possibilities that come with them when they fall into the wrong hands.

Despite the topic, the book had a surprisingly cozy feel to it. One of the authors clearly has a real affection for the Hudson River area—the way it’s described brings the setting vividly to life.

The story strikes a nice balance: it’s equal parts funny and serious, with touches of romance and moments that are genuinely a bit chilling.
