How to Catch a Russian Spy is a fast-paced and entertaining memoir by Naveed Jamali, who, as a civilian, worked as a double agent for the FBI to expose a Russian intelligence officer. Co-written with Ellis Henican, the book reads like a real-life spy thriller, blending humor, suspense, and personal reflection. While some details may feel dramatized, Jamali's story offers a fascinating glimpse into modern espionage and the motivations of an unlikely informant. A compelling read for fans of true crime and spy stories.

As I work through older reviews on my reading list, I finally got around to this one. I no longer have access to the title, so this is my generic review for books where too much time has passed for me to recall precise details, but this is what stood out in my memory. While it was an okay read, a few aspects fell short for me. The author comes across as a little self-important. However, the pacing of the narrative was fine but didn’t quite draw me in as much as I’d hoped. Overall, it’s a decent book, but not one that left a lasting impression.
