This was a great read about a couple with a baby having to share a rental with a strange couple. Instantly I felt uneasy with the comments from the other couple, I felt there was a lot of suspense and a good few twists! It was a good quick read with a solid ending. If you like Kiersten Modglin, Daniel Hurst or Frieda McFadden you will love this authors writing style too.

My second book by this author, and it did not disappoint! Imagine getting to a rental cabin and someone is already there! And the other couple is very strange. This kept me on edge the whole time and I was astonished and the twist at the end!!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc

This had me hooked from page one. What starts as a seemingly innocent getaway for two couples quickly spirals into something far darker. Secrets simmer beneath the surface, tensions build, and there’s this constant, creeping sense that something isn’t quite right. You can feel it lurking—just out of sight—and that eerie atmosphere never lets up. The twists are perfectly timed, the characters layered with just enough suspicion, and the dread? Unrelenting. It’s the kind of story that burrows under your skin and keeps you wide awake, questioning everything. A must-read for fans of psychological suspense with a chilling edge.

The Other Couple is a twisty, can’t put down Thriller that is about a couple trying to take a weekend getaway with their baby. They find that there is already a couple staying at the cabin.
This book kept me guessing until the end. It reads like a Frieda McFadden book. So fans of Frieda McFadden rejoice!
I loved it and will look into other works by this author.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
Lainey and her husband David are going on their first vacation with their adopted baby Jonah. When they arrive at their rented house, they find there’s been a mix up and another couple are all ready there. As the two couples prepare to share a weekend Lainey and David are worried. The other couple are strange, and there is talk that the previous occupants of the house were murdered. But with a tree down and no way out, can they survive the weekend.
This one definitely had a creepy factor! I could feel the characters fear quite strongly! The descriptions of the weather and darkness were very atmospheric and added to a feeling of terror. As a reader we never really find out why the other couple are so strange until the end, again adding to the suspense. The ending though-completely unexpected and out the blue! What a shocker!

This is the first book that I’ve read by Jack Dane, but it won’t be the last. I was hooked from the first page and I devoured this book. I read it in 3 hrs. That’s how great it was. It had a gripping plot and several amazing twists that I didn’t see coming. Can’t wait to read more by this author.

I really enjoyed this, it had all the good makings of a great thriller! We get straight into the action at the beginning and there are lots of questionable things happening to make you guess what is really going on! The characters were well written and easily made me think I knew who could and couldn’t be trusted!
I loved the sudden unpredictable plot twist at the end which I never saw coming, as I always love a big reveal at the end of a good thriller!

Thank you for the ARC. This was a very quick read and short chapters. The book did hold my interest but was missing thrill for me. The last 10% of the book held all the interesting details which I didn’t see coming.

Lainey and David and their baby, Jonah are on a mini vacation to a remote house, but when they get there in awful weather, there is a couple already there.
The other couple are strange to say the least, and armed.
Gripping from the first page. You can feel the creepiness within minutes of the first chapter.
I was half right in my prediction of the identities of all parties.... but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this novel.
Shivers up my spine all the time and felt as helpless as Lainey and David were.
And the final twist. Can't say more. I recommend.
