I just loved this book! I just loved the friendship between the other girls it was just beautiful because they had each other’s back. I just loved this story as well also there are some amazing characters that just make this book so good. I also loved the relationship between Paige and Olly it’s like you knew what was supposed to happen but I was secretly rooting for them as they just suit each other so well.
I would highly recommend reading this book if you love a book with good friendship, amazing characters and an amazing story.
I would like to thank Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early.

This was such a fun, spicy, girly ball of entertainment in a book! I loved the main character Paige, she is so down to earth and laugh out loud funny! Paige and the other female characters all meet in chapter 1 at the airport and hatch a plan of revenge for their cheating, nasty ex’s! Paige is sent to stay with Bella’s ex, Oliver, who jilted her at the alter….
I can’t say anymore about the plot without giving any spoilers, but this book is so cute, so funny and so romantic.
I can’t wait to read the second book of the Karma Series.

I am so surprised that I really enjoyed this book. Revenge is great. How many women would love to be able to get it? The whole concept of this novel is so satisfying. The pairing of Paige and Oliver, being so different, is quite unique. Their story is one of an unexpected gratifying relationship. This is a worthwhile read. Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Payback Plan was a light hearted, cosy read.
I liked the characters and their development throughout, however I will say I did struggle a bit to get into the story.. but still, it was an enjoyable read which I'm sure others will enjoy too.
*Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

An enojoyable read with likeable, charming characters, written with the usual Amy Andrews’ wit, “The Payback Plan”, is an exercise on how a revenge mission crumbles into a passionate and intense romance.
I loved Paige and Oliver and how they really are so sincere, kind and sweet despite all the deceit and wrondoings.
Their initial interactions are very funny and the secondary characters and the dog add a special warmth to the story.
The contrast between the anarchic heroine and the organization lover hero is great, even if the lines are a bit blurred.
Paige is a vibrant, creative, hard-working woman and it’s wonderful to watch her skills and talent while helping Oliver with his project.
I liked how Oliver is so earnest with Paige and also liked how cathartic and healing the writing process is to him.
Public exposure excesses and the dangers of social media are some issues addressed in the story that takes place in the beautiful Cornwall coast, England.

This was a pretty good book. But it had a little too much spice for my taste. But I think a lot of other people would love it.

This was a fun, cute, and quick rom-com read that had very relatable characters. It was a little predictable and cheesy but overall I had fun reading this.

Strangers on a train-esque rom-com series, with this being book one. Although predictable, the book was a cute, quick read. The pacing of the four FMCs felt rushed, and their relationships unearned, but the relationship of the FMC of this book (Paige) and the MMC (Oliver) made up for that fact. I was team Oliver way more than team Paige (his interactions with the animals.... swoon!). Overall I would read the series to see how the interconnectivity plays out, but I'd go into it knowing it was mostly predictable fluff.

I really enjoyed this book! The characters were relatable, the plot was interesting, and the story was great! I would definitely recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing this book, with my honest review below.
The Payback Plan has me even more tickled after finding out the books that are to follow, part of the series The Karma Club, are all going to be written by different authors. My only fear is that Amy Andrew’s’ opener to the series won’t be topped!
The Payback Plan stands on its own, introducing us to Paige who has the worst luck ever. Case in point she finds herself stuck at the airport just before Christmas in the company of women she doesn’t own but who all share a commonality - wanting revenge on their no good exes. Paige’s has to be the worst and I can’t wait to see him get his comeuppance. In the meantime Paige is off to get Oliver back for leaving Bella, her new friend, at the altar. I didn’t expect revenge to come with a cute hamster or for Oliver to be so endearing - and I especially didn’t expect this book to be so hilarious!
I can’t wait for the continuation of what may just be a new favorite series. How the authors will connect the books is interesting to consider as The Payback Plan connected all the women but didn’t give anything away. Either way I loved Paige and Olly’s story which went deeper than you’d expect, but with so many laughs it is the perfect feel good book to tuck into.

First of all I want to thank NetGalley and the author for the advance copy. I loved this book it was such a cute read. I loved it. Definetly enjoyed the pets lol made it more enjoyable. 100% percent recommend it. I did want more of the friends involved but saw that each one is getting their own book soo I can't wait to continue this series. If your looking for something cute and fun you should definetly check this book out. Once again thank you to NetGalley and the author.

I loved this, an easy to read escapist Romance that will give you all the feels and a bucketful of belly laughs! Oliver and Paige are both brilliantly brought to life, likeable characters who draw you in and keep the pages turning. One to escape into on a Sunday afternoon, the perfect cosy, heartwarming read.

This is a fateful four-star read. I really wanted to give this one five-stars, but it just didn’t make me love it all the way through, it started well, and ended well, it just drooped a little in the final third. I really liked both Paige and Oliver, and found them both to be really believable and the way they fight everything, just won me over, and if I’m honest I think it was let down by the Karma Club element I think that there were bits missing, I felt like I didn’t get the full story, and it is most likely that they are saving the story for the following books, but a little more detail may have helped the flow. I am so excited to see where the Karma club will go next, there is so much promise in this story and series.

I struggled to get into this book - I found the premise of the four women meeting and coming up with a life-changing 'revenge' plan the very same day just too far-fetched to suspend my disbelief; I also struggled with Paige's role as an 'agent provocateur' type person in Olly's life, but I can see it's a fun premise - it's a personal thing, just didn't appeal to me and made me feel a bit stressed! But I'm glad I persisted - the writing carries the story along, and Paige and Olly's back-stories and motivations really ring true. The setting is atmospheric, and there are some genuinely funny set-ups and a satisfactorily heartfelt ending where the characters have truly been on their journeys and changed.

Finished in two days. Absolutely brilliant. It has bestseller written all over it. What a book! Each time I set the book down I had to remind myself to breathe.

I’m giving this 3-3.5; I really enjoyed the idea and the plot of the book but some parts were just hard to get through in the sense of it feeling like a drag. I wish there was more on the four friends as well. It was still a great book but I did find it difficult to really get into this book and dive into the story - I enjoyed the beginning a lot but I don’t think I’m a fan of the main male character. Im not sure if I’ll read the rest of the series but I believe that t is done by different authors (maybe) so TBD. Overall, not too bad but not the best I have read either.

This one is a 3.5 stars for me. I'm rounding up because 3 stars feels too low and overall I enjoyed it.
Some of it felt really childish, and I know part of that is because of the pranks that Paige was playing on Oliver.
Parts of it felt unbelievable (and don't get me wrong, I love suspending belief for a romance novel!), so it was hard to believe they were going to fall in love when I couldn't quite follow his motive for allowing this stranger to bring animals into his home, etc.
Overall, it was a sweet love story and a fun "payback plan"!

The Payback Plan kicks off The Karma Club series with a bang—or more accurately, with a snowstorm, a chunky hamster, and a revenge pact made over too many bubbles at a stranded airport bar. It’s smart, chaotic, and packed with slow-burn chemistry that builds into something heartfelt and genuinely swoony.
When Paige Parker is snowed in at O’Hare, she meets three fellow women dealing with fresh heartbreak. They bond, vent, and hatch a plan to get even with the men who wronged them. Paige’s target? Olly Pendergast—a reclusive, grumpy Englishman who ditched her new friend Bella at the altar. The mission is simple: mess with his life. What Paige doesn’t expect is to move into his pristine house in Cornwall, disrupt his peace with a dog and a hamster, and somehow… catch feelings.
Olly is more than his reputation. Yes, he’s closed-off and a bit arrogant, but he’s also grieving, complex, and, unfortunately for Paige, very easy to fall for. Their banter is sharp, their chemistry undeniable, and the romance unfolds with that perfect blend of tension and tenderness. It’s enemies-to-lovers done right—snarky, emotional, and just the right amount of spicy.
What really makes the book shine is its playful tone. Paige is chaotic in the best way, and her antics—paired with Olly’s quiet resistance—make for some laugh-out-loud moments. The animal companions add extra charm (shoutout to the overfed hamster who steals scenes like a pro), and the small-town Cornish setting adds coziness and contrast to the initial high-drama premise.
If there’s a small flaw, it’s that the friendships between the women could use more depth. The concept of The Karma Club is gold, and while this book plants the seeds, I’m hoping future installments explore their bond more fully—especially since Bella’s story is next.
In short, The Payback Plan is a flirty, feel-good romantic comedy with a touch of chaos, a big heart, and a heroine you can’t help but root for—even when her t-shirts are questionable and her motives are messy.
Verdict: A sparkling start to what promises to be a fun, female-led rom-com series. Pour a glass, grab your cozy socks, and enjoy the ride.

I absolutely adored this book. Paige is fun and quirky but real at the same time. Oliver is kind and caring. Their chemistry is amazing. I love Amy Andrews writing and am going to go read more of hers. I cannot wait to read the rest of the Karma Club!

Amy Andrews’ The Payback Plan is the kind of book that feels like a warm hug—with a side of spice and mischief. It kicks off the Karma Club series with Paige Parker, who gets stranded at O’Hare airport during a snowstorm. Instead of doomscrolling or sulking, she does something we’ve all dreamed of—she bonds with three strangers over heartbreak and betrayal, and together, they come up with a playful revenge plan against their exes. Because why not? This one has humor, heart, and all the messy, wonderful emotions that make a romance unforgettable.
