“Healing From Life’s Deepest Hurts” is not only a walk with the author through her life and story, but a walk with her as a therapist. A therapist who actually used the same tools in her healing journey that she had given countless clients over the years. The book closes with an entire chapter full of tools for growth and healing to put to practice.

Kimberley’s chapter on trust really hit me between the eyes. Like her, I have countless times cast my cares on the Lord only to reel them right back in again. Her pause and reflect section in this chapter helped me to see what was keeping me from fully surrendering ALL of my cares to the Lord. Because of her authenticity, her writing was an invitation to process my own emotions.

This book will both encourage and challenge you that no pain - whether great or small- can keep you from a life of hope restored. It will be one I keep coming back to and recommending to others!

This book is truly one of the most powerful and impactful I’ve ever read.
With each chapter, I thought, “This one is my favorite,” only to turn the page and be moved to tears all over again. Kimberly’s story is one I’ve heard multiple times, yet every single time, I walk away with something new—something healing. Her words are filled with honesty, courage, and most of all, hope.
As someone who has also walked through divorce, I saw so much of my own story reflected in hers. The way she gives voice to the deep, complicated emotions while still pointing to redemption is a rare and beautiful gift.
As the founder of a nonprofit that serves people walking through trauma and brokenness, I will be recommending this book to so many. The tools for healing and reflection at the end of the book are incredibly helpful and practical—such a thoughtful way to guide readers through their own journey.
Kimberly’s story is one of profound hope, healing, and redemption. It’s a story that will reach hearts and restore lives. I couldn’t put it down—I’d plan to read just one chapter, but before I knew it, I had finished the entire book. And now, I’m reading it again just to soak up even more.
I’m so proud of Kimberly and so grateful for the healing words she’s shared with such vulnerability and grace. Whether you’ve walked through trauma, abuse, heartbreak, or are simply navigating life’s difficult seasons, this book will speak directly to your soul.
It’s more than a book—it’s a companion for the journey.
