I wasn’t just reading—I was experiencing every smirk, every growl, every longing glance like I was the one being pursued by a morally questionable, devastatingly hot demon. And honestly? I wouldn’t mind.

this book was adorable, I enjoyed the story and the audiobook was so good, the narrators did a great job!

you meet mist in book 1, and he's kind of in this place btwn wanting to do what he's good at (demon hunting bad demons for his master) and wanting to find love (like some other demons he's seen it happen to). he meets Lily and everything changes. also Lily finds out some crazy things about her family. all the demons have such fun personalities im excited for the other books too!

I love this series so much. This second installment was so much fun. I loved Lilly and I was so happy to see Mist get to have his redemption and own love story. I loved his character in book one and it made me happy that we got to know more about him and get to see him happy. I love the demon boys, their antics are down right hilarious but they sure know how to handle business. The narrator did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life. I really enjoyed listening!

I really enjoyed this one, the undertones of self expectance and growth in the middle of a hot and steamy (monster) romance! Yes please! The narration was great and really immersive. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Absolutely loved this audiobook!! I love this whole storyline, it’s a great second book to the series. The only thing I wish is that it had multiple narrators!

Mist is such an endearing character ! He is not a book boyfriend but he is cute . In the first book we saw him lost about how to interact with humans and he didn’t got better with time… but I swear he is trying.

Lily our main lead is okay . I thought that she was going to be the plus size girl that only complains about being too fat and that society is forcing an ideal upon us (which is true but insufferable in a character) but a some point she stop talking about it.
Her twins is insufferable and I don’t want to read her book . She is the troublesome sister, blue hair, partying, messing around and hiding stuff . I hate character like her . They always think that they know better than anyone.

At this point each female character is going to have a common characteristic with me ! The first book have a character named Eva this one had twins, and her twins have blue hair! That’s too much ….

3.5⭐️ rounded up: I definitely feel like there is some improvement in the author’s writing overall.
This is just a silly, goofy, good time book! I was kind of put off by the first one, but wanted to give this series another shot. Like I said-silly and goofy is what this is and it’s something I didn’t really have to put much effort into keeping up with everything that is going on-and sometimes that’s nice, to be able to enjoy a book without doing mental gymnastics.
The narrator does a great job with the different voices-something I can appreciate with such a cast (especially all the males characters)

There is something about reading a light urban fantasy that just makes my day! Don't get me wrong- I love me some world building fantasy. Urban fantasy is nice though because it really isn't as much of an investment in time. This fit this bill and added bonus had a lot of mythology thrown in there too. I really enjoyed this one! It was funny and perfectly paced. It was kind of an instant love or maybe more of an instant recognition of mates. Lily was great! She had been fighting herself and her history as a witch for forever. But after Mist dropped into her life, she can't hide from it anymore. Mist was such a fish out of water. He was a literal demon from Hell who has found himself on Earth trying to understand the language and interactions. These two were HOT together! Their meet cute was a recognition more than anything. They didn't want to walk away from each other, but they did and then fate kept bringing them together again. Lily couldn't wrap her head around these feelings she was having for a stranger. Mist was fighting his feelings because he wasn't going to be on Earth for very long. I loved how Lily stood up for Mist and proved to him that he is worthy of a better life including someone to love!

Lily has been living under the radar of her kind for a while. She refuses to acknowledge her heritage. The past is just too painful with everything that happened with her parents. She also feels like this is creating some strain with her sister, but that is for another day. Today she is having a hard time not acknowledging the giant of a man in the convenience store. The man who offers to walk her home and has a strange way of communication. The man she finds herself drawn to. The man who she finds out is a demon from Hell on a mission and timeline to have to go back. Now she doesn't know what to trust. Her gut says he is safe, but her brain is questioning everything that she knows. Why does she feel this instant connection with a perfect stranger? Why is her body lighting up at night like a glow stick? Why does she want to hide from her heritage so much? She is done covering up things in her life. She is going to embrace this thing between them because she is going to trust herself. And what she experiences with him is amazing! She gets to see him in his true form where he is even more beautiful. She realizes quickly that Mist doesn't think there is any other option than to go back to Hell to his "life." But he didn't have Lily in his corner like he does now. She decides that she will stop at nothing to get him out of this situation he is in. Including going to Hell and fighting a princess or bargaining with other demons to keep him safe. Because she recognizes him now for what he is...her mate.

Mist has been in prison for what feels like an eternity. He has known nothing but being the slave to his master who happens to be the Queen of Hell. He goes on missions for her and finds people she can punish for whatever misdeed she determines at the time. He finds himself lost and over this thing that he calls life. So when she sends him to Earth to find a group of demons she wants back, he finds himself taking a bit of a hiatus. He likes these guys. He doesn't want to go back. And then he meets HER. His mate even though he doesn't recognize it right away. She is a beautiful witch. Beyond anything he could imagine, but he is wearing his human form. He finds himself running into her more than he thought he would. He finds that fate seems to be intervening with how often they see each other. He is enchanted by her. And now she knows what he is- a demon and though she seems scared at first she understands. She even wants to HELP him with his dilemma. He doesn't tell her but there is no helping his situation. So he decides to make the most of the time he has. He has given up all hope and knows what lays ahead of him. But then he is stunned to find Lily in Hell trying to save him. And save him she does. He realizes that love does trump all things because now he can experience that with her.

The way that Aurora wove Lily and Mist's story was perfect! There was a dash of suspense, sacrifice, the realization that you are worthy, and then of course the connection and found family, romance and SPICE. I also liked the humor- the things that Mist didn't understand as a demon in the human world. I am really looking forward to continuing this series, and actually plan on going back to read book 1 too. I listened to this too and did enjoy the narrator a lot! I recommend this one if you are looking for an easy fun read with demons, witches and plans for more.

This book and this series as a whole are my current comfort series! I adore these characters and these precious boys that just do not know how to be human. Must has to be one of the most precious people while also being so violent if he needs to be. We love an over protective man. And the narrator was great!!

An amazing sequel in the Hell Bent series, My Demon Hunter delves deeper into the world that
Aurora Asher created and manages to be even better then the first one. Mist and Lily are such
great characters and the character growth that they both go through is beautiful. This book
makes me so excited for book 3 and to see where the story will go next.

A steamy paranormal romance with loveable characters and hot demons! Lily runs into Mist at the corner store where he's buying tampons and ice cream for his friend who is truly a friend, but Lily doesn't believe him. They keep running into each other, while both are encouraged by their friends to explore the connection they felt upon meeting. Hijinks ensue for these two who are both navigating difficult circumstances. This is book 2 of the Hell Bent series and perfect for readers who like plenty of spice with their fantasy romance, complete with an HEA!

I'm obsessed with this series!!! I can't get enough, the narrators keep my attention & have done a phenomenal job!

This was an incredible story! Filled with magic, fantasy and some spice. I really enjoyed hearing the continuation of Mist’s journey in the human realm. As he struggles to figure out how to be human, I found myself giggling. Many whimsical moments, and a wild ride. I highly recommend this book.

I read this via an audio book. It was a single narrator for all the characters voices. I do not usually enjoy single narrated audio books, but this narrator did a wonderful job. She was able to adjust her voice between male and female and even changed between American and Irish accents for each of the characters. Overall, it was a great audio listening experience. Now, let's get to my opinion of the actual book. This was my first read by Aurora Ascher. I had heard good things about the previous book, in this series, so I was excited to try her books out. She did not disappoint! I enjoyed every minute of it. This book has it all. There is magic, demons, witches, humans, romance, spice, action, adventure, and comedy. This book had me laughing out loud, several times throughout the book. The FMC was a loyal, strong, and loving character, I loved that the author made this character a curvy, plus-sized woman, which I could relate to and respect. The MMC (a demon), you can't help but fall in love with his awkward innocence and healthy possessiveness. He loved the FMC for exactly who she was and loved her size, which is refreshing to see in narratives. The supportive characters are very personable and entertaining as well. The storyline/plot was good and not super easy to predict, which I appreciated. Overall, I enjoyed this book very much and had so much fun reading it. I will definitely be reading the first book in the series (My Funny Demon Valentine) and the rest of the series going forward.

I liked this book a lot better than the first book. I really loved Mist and actually wish I had gotten more of him over the course of the book. I loved their relationship albeit very fast and lusty, but I loved how they adapted to each other and developed as a couple.

Overall a fun, spicy read. I don't think I'd pick it up as a standalone but you can as needed.

I jumped into this book without reading book #1, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it!

Lily is a reluctant witch who encounters Mist, a demon hunter trying to shake off the shackles of his demon mistress. Their romance is lighthearted and fast-paced with a healthy mix of spice thrown in. The narrator does an excellent job portraying the different characters, making this an audiobook I was eager to finish.

That being said, while this was an enjoyable read, it certainly wasn't a deep one. The plot was straight-forward without much guesswork, leaving the romance to carry the entertainment value. The characters seemed to be assigned only one personality trait each, which made it difficult to connect to their narrations. Additionally, the inner dialogue of the POV character tended to overexplain the point, which got boring at times.

Still, it was worth the read and the Hell Bent series in general is one I'll probably check out!

This is Mist, aka Mishetumephtai, and Lily’s story. WOW. Aurora Ascher does it again! Somehow I loved it more than the first one. Mist was so broken and yearning for human connection I, much like Lily, softened to him immediately. He was just such a magnetic character. Mist is our demon hunter infamous for his loyalty to his mistress, until his mission is to take down some Hell’s most powerful rogue demons Ashmodeus, Belial, Raum, and Mephistopheles. He finds himself stunned by Ash’s quaint life and comfortability with his mere human-like lover Evangeline.
He finds himself then yearning for that companionship and friendship that the so-called demons settled down to find. He cuts a deal leading him to find his own lair, I mean home and finally a family. By happenstance he finds Lily at a local convenience store, buys her ice cream because she should not deny herself such things especially when it comes to pleasure.. just so happens she’s a rare blood-born witch twin to Iris a powerful and currently practicing witch.
Mist is so animalistic, growly, and possessive in nature I loved it. The way he just wanted to bite her a little bit. (Can we talk about when she complemented his teeth and claws and my man BLUSHED?)
Demons stole Lily’s parents,
burned her coven to get to her and her sister.
They’ve been running ever since.
However, another demon has stolen her heart and she doesn’t want revenge this time.
No she wants him to stay.

The found family just went x10 on this and I LOVED it. I love the addition of Iris and Meph’s banter amongst the love of Eva and Ash, we also have Raum, and poor Belial being the annoyed Dad that just wants to cook. However once a king always a king, he may have a temper but if he loves you he loves you and you’re apart of the family now. Brothers forever. 💙💫

What a hell of a book and story! I loved everything about it! A hidden gem!
I was glued to it until I reached it's end, and even then I wanted to keep being in this story and in this world! I'm going to binge the next ones as soon as I can!
Lily is just a shy woman, living her best life and running away from her legacy. She is a witch, but she never wanted to be one or practice, unlike her sister. She is sweet, sees the good in everyone, and is a good girl. She is not aware of the secrets of her past. She has some insecurities, but when the need comes.. she is strong and fierce and just amazing.

Who doesn't love some damaged heroes (or villains, I guess) who turn out to be kind of softies on the inside? Mist was just that. A marshmallow on the inside covered with a thick layer of mistrust and pain. He has always been the hunter. He always belonged to another as her slave. He never had free will. Until he met four other rogue demons who showed him that rules can be broken and that he deserved to break them for himself. He learned what it was to have friends. And along with those friends he met Lily.

At first, when they met, he was disguised as human, and they instantly hit it of. There was attraction. And with that attraction came some truths and her learning his real form and learning that she liked a demon. A real one! And on top of that there was real danger above them. To him and to her. So in some awkward way, with his lack of understanding of the human feelings and her strength growing as a witch they have gone through several bumps and bruises to make it alive.
We see them learning to love with such an intensity that is really overpowering!

We have several interactions with other side characters and I liked every one of them. I can honestly say that I'm intriegued bu Iris, and to know how she will learn to lower her guard and trust and to love. I gues I better start reading the next ones!

The other standout is the spice! Phew! This was only my second ever monster romance and my first MMC with a talented tail (IYKYK). I think it’s safe to say, it will not be my last!
