Aurora Ascher can do no wrong!
I am obsessed with the Hell Bent series. It is fantastical, witty, and at times ridiculous in the best way, and "My Demon Hunter" is no exception.
I truly enjoyed the chaos of the connection between Mist and Lily and cannot wait to get my hands on book 3.
The narrators did an excellent job of bringing these characters to life and I hope so many people with check out the audiobook.
Thank you to the publisher for selecting me for this ARC. I really enjoyed it.

3.5 I think my favorite part of these is the demons learning how to speak “human”. Mist & Lily’s story was very insta-love, but I liked the twists and fighting for the other.
Audio narration was done well.

I liked this better than the first one, primarily because the world was much more developed and it's starting to get interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes in future instalments!
I liked Lily and Mist a lot more than Eva and Ash. They felt a lot less cringey, though I didn't find Lily to be as interesting of a character as Eva. Lily was a little bland and spineless, relying a little bit too much on other characters rather than having a distinct personality of her own. Mist as an MMC was more interesting than Ash. He was learning the ins and outs of healthy relationships, but his self-sacrificing nature didn't feel authentic for a millennia's-old demon.
Overall, this was a quick, fun read and did a good job entertaining me. Plus I like that it's set in Canada and not centered around American culture. Support Canadian authors!

This book is so much fun. I dont want to give to much away because I had so much fun from begining to end that its almost better to gomin blind. Mist is just trying to find his own way and wanting love, and Lily is such a relatable character in how she thinks. I loved seeing theor progression and all the other shenanigans that happen in this book. Also, love meeting new characters that I instantly become attached to. I already know that this series is my new favorite obsession. Just read. It's dark enough for those wanting to dip their toes into a darker romance, but has enough levity to make it enjoyable for those of us on the fence about them.
This Book was provided by NetGalley but all opinions and reviews are my own.

Based in modern day Montreal book two of Hell Bent follows Lilly and Mist, a demon who is bound to a cruel queen of hell. Mist, known as The Hunter, is exhausted by his millennia of hunting and is ready to leave his position in hell and find a girlfriend. Lilly, a witch who has disassociated from her craft and coven, started over in a new country on a new continent with her protective twin who is still practicing.
Narrator Kirsten Leigh does an excellent job with book two, as she did with book one. Leigh once again is a fantastic narrator for the multiple POV book, as both male and female characters. The sound quality is excellent and the Latin is clear for those without knowledge of Latin. This is a sweet and spicy romcom and after listening I will absolutely continue the series and purchase the books to read again later.
It’s a book two of an interconnected standalone series and does not end on a cliffhanger.

Big thanks to Netgalley and Aurora Ascher for the audioARC in exchange for a review.
This was fairly light hearted. This is my second read in the series. I loved this one as much as the first. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

Just as delightful as the first book. These audios are a lot of fun. I think i definitely want to pick up the physical copies with the special edges before they go out of print.

Thank you NetGalley and RBMedia for the ARC!
My Demon Hunter picks up shortly after My Funny Demon Valentine, but can be read as a standalone. This book was just as fun as he first, but the MMC was even more cinnamon roll. He was freaking adorable! The FMC is quiet and shy and the back and forth between then was so cute but also really funny. Since the MMC has been in Hell since, forever, he has no grasp on modern technology or dating culture and that creates several fun scenes and mishaps. Moreover I liked the cameos from the first book, especially the dating advice. Like in the first book there was something special about our FMC and I liked that tension a lot. Give me all the forbidden romance! Enjoyable, fast paced and easy to read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a lovely book with high doses of humor, fierceness, 6 love. Mist was such a doll, he reminded me of a giant puppy, and his possessiveness was great to read. Lily was also wonderful. She's open and a little self-conscious, but just right for Mist.
Really enjoyed the narration as well.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | A sinfully addictive listen that proves love can conquer even the fires of Hell
If you like your paranormal romance served sizzling, snark-laden, and utterly heart-tugging—look no further than My Demon Hunter. Aurora Ascher’s razor-sharp prose collides with Kirsten Leigh’s virtuoso narration to create an audiobook experience I didn’t just binge-listen to—I devoured.
🔥 Narration that summons every emotion
Kirsten Leigh slips into each character’s skin with uncanny ease. From Lily’s grief-tempered grit to Mist’s centuries-deep, velvet-voiced menace, every line lands exactly where it should. Leigh’s pacing nails the comedic beats (yes, I cackled in public) and then drops effortlessly into sultry, clothes-ripping territory that had me fanning myself in the car.
😈 A demon hero worth selling your soul for
Mist isn’t the typical “bad boy with horns.” Ascher layers him with millennia of guilt, loyalty, and a breathtakingly tender vulnerability that Leigh amplifies in every growl and confession. Hearing his internal war—freedom versus duty—makes the HEA feel monumental.
💔 Healing meets heat
Lily’s journey from self-denial to fierce acceptance mirrors the story’s central theme: embracing even our darkest parts. The chemistry crackles, but what floored me was how authentically their trauma and triumphs are voiced. You’ll swoon, you’ll laugh, you might tear up—but you’ll believe every second.
🌶️ Comedy, chaos, and demon brothers
The supporting cast of devilish siblings adds riotous banter and found-family vibes, hinting at future installments I’m already desperate for. Leigh gives each brother a distinct timbre, so you’re never lost in the chaos (and the “corner-store showdown” scene is comedic gold).
🎧 Why you need this audiobook in your queue
Immersive performance: Leigh’s nuanced delivery turns a great story into an unforgettable experience.
Balance of light and dark: Grief, identity, and self-worth explored without skimping on laugh-out-loud moments.
Heat index off the charts: If the phrase “wing-unfurling, wall-shattering demon smooch” intrigues you, press play immediately.
Bottom line? My Demon Hunter is a masterclass in steamy, heartfelt, high-stakes romance, elevated by a narration that deserves its own standing ovation. Five blazing stars—because anything less would be a sin.

Big thanks to Netgalley and Aurora Ascher for the audioARC in exchange for a review.
This was fairly light hearted. It was not the first in the series but was fine as a stand alone. We've got witches and demon hunters.
If you enjoy the Ruby Dixon series, you'll enjoy this.
4 stars

Such a fun read. I love how silly these are. You can’t not love these demons. Mist is the cutest and I love that he’s mostly in demon form. Finally an author brave enough to ask the question what if she finds him sexy as a monster lol

Thanks to NetGalley and RBmedia for providing an audiobook arc of My Demon Hunter!
This is book 2 in a series about demons falling in love. My best friend and I read the first book, My Funny Demon Valentine, as our Valentine's Day buddy read this year! I would recommend this series to people that want to slightly dip their toes into monster romance and like their books to be a little more on the silly side.
There are still dark thing happening in these books, don't get me wrong. Hell is most definitely NOT a good place, so don't go into these books expecting rainbows and butterflies.
Tropes/Themes
• insta-love
• witch x demon
• clueless demon wants a human "pet"
• slavery, bonds, torture, getting eaten alive
• found family
• plus-size FMC
Mist is a very sweet demon who has endured thousands of years of being enslaved to Paimon, the queen of hell. After the events of the first book in this series, he doesn't want to hunt demons that break the rules anymore. Instead, he wants what some others have found: a nice human lady to have a life with in peace.
Lily is an ex-witch fashion designer, who would rather spend her time tucked inside her home than going out. And then she runs into a myserious, strange, and stupidly attractive man (demon) at the corner store. Their awkward conversation leaves her wanting more, and Mist believes that Lily is the one for him.
The story is good (if you don't hate insta-love) and I loved getting to see Mist be such a gentle soul. My main pet peeve with this was dialogue that would leave out personal pronouns, it just comes across as super annoying. "Want to bite, want to mark." Like come on, you can say the word "I", I believe in you.
On the audiobook side, my only note would be that sometimes the narrator forgets to go into a character's voice. The dialogue will clearly be Mist or another character, but be spoken in Lily's voice. Not a big issue, but I did notice it multiple times.

A great continuation of the series, with so much more humanisation of Mist and the other demons. The addition of witches, a prophecy, and more of Hell’s inhabitants colluding and causing mischief, I loved this one. Plenty of action, plenty of spicy scenes, and so much to tease us for the next book(s). I’m fully invested in this series and these characters!

Mist got his human. What a fun and sexy book. You really feel for Mist as he fights for his freedom and his Lilly. It’s also good to see Lilly coming into her power and confidence. The demon brothers are there to provide support and humor as always. Overall, a very good second book in the series.

I really enjoyed this book. There was interesting world building and loved the found family. I do think you need to read the first book to totally understand the series. There are also a lot of plots going on.

If you haven’t read My Funny Demon Valentine, I would recommend reading that first since a lot of the characters return. Overall, I thought it was good - its a lighter urban fantasy with some comedy sprinkled in. The meet cute between Lily (a powerful but non practicing witch) and Mist (a demon that has trouble with blending in to Earthly ways) was not so much an insta love but kind of like a fated mate situation. I wouldn’t have thought that a clash between demons and witches (Mist’s friends and Lily’s sister) would be adorably funny, but it was. I loved Mist’s character - he is a powerful demon but becomes a total softie with Lily. I wished the audiobook was a dual POV though.

This narration was great! I really enjoyed listening to this book. The narrator did a great job of showing the emotions of the characters in the book. The narrator spoke clearly and I could picture the scenes in my head as she was speaking. Again I really enjoyed listening to this!

The audio was amazing!
When a book makes you laugh, swoon (yes, swoon) and cheer on those demons trying to make it and fall in love you know it's gonna be good! A good follow-up from book 1

This was a great second book. I loved it and the writing style. Audio was great and the narrator made the book came alive. Love the series! Highly recommend
