🎧 Audiobook: My Demon Hunter-Hell Bent #2

✍🏾 Author: Aurora Ascher-I read My Funny Demon Valentine and gave it 4⭐

📅Publication date: 3/25/25 | Read: 3/25/25

Genre: Paranormal Romance, Fantasy

Tropes: demons, witches, magic, plus sized h, alpha "mine" H

🗣️Narrator: Kristen Leigh voices all the characters with standouts from Lily, Iris, and Mist. The reading style brought the text to life, and the author and narrator worked together perfectly. The pacing and flow allowed me to get lost in the story. The narrator paused and announced new chapters and there was a table of contents which helped me follow along.

🏃🏾‍➡️Run Time: 10:36

🌎 Setting: Montreal, Canada

👆🏾POV: 3rd person

⚠️TW: torture, explicit s*x, slavery

Summary: Mist is living on Earth with the former princes of hell learning human ways. He meets Lily and they discover they have more in common than they thought. Lily and her twin sister Iris are blood-born witches and Mist is the demon hunter from hell. Lily is willing to do whatever she can to free him from slavery under the Queen of Hell-Paimon.

👩🏾 Heroine: Lilly Donovan-27, makes clothes for plus sized women and sells online.

👨🏾 Hero: Mishetsumephtai "Mist"-agreed to keep the princes' location secret in exchange for a place to stay and teach him how to be more human.

🎭 Other Characters:
*Iris-Lily's twin sister
*Paimon-Queen of Hell
*Asmodeus (girlfriend-Eva), Raum, Mephistopheles, and Belial-4 princes of hell living on Earth
*Dan-Eva's father one of the Grigori warrior angels

🤔 My Thoughts: Another solid installment featuring Mist and Lilly. They were different species but found a way to be together. They had some steamy s*xy times, one that had me cringing a little-IYKYK. I will be reading the other books in the series and can't wait for Belial's book!

Rating: 4/5 ✨
Spice level 4/5🔥

🙏🏾Thanks to NetGalley, RB Media | Recorded Books, and Aurora Ascher for this ALC! I voluntarily give my honest review, and all opinions are my own.

This has become one of my favorite series. The story just sucks you right in. I finished it in a one day. Will definitely be buying it on release day for those limited edition sprayed edges. I have to have a shelf trophy to go along with the first book. I can't wait for the next story. I'm absolutely hooked!!

I enjoyed this book. I wish there was more to Lily’s story but knowing the next book will be about her sister i guess I’ll have to wait and see. Other than that I had a good time 😊

My Demon Hunter by Aurora Ascher
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4🌶🌶🌶🌶

This is book 2 in the Hell Bent series. The book follows Mishetsumephtai (Mist), who is the foremost Hunter in Hell. Nobody hides from him for long, and when he is sent to track down our 4 favorite rogue demons from book 1, it is no exception. Except this time, Mist feels differently. He finds himself wanting to experience human life, and with the help of his 4 new friends, he starts doing just then.

Enter Lily, a blood born witch who is trying to live the least witchy life she can. While her twin sister is still heavily involved in her coven, Lily enjoys sewing and living as normally as she can.

One night, at a chance encounter Mist and Lily run into each other, and their lives change course forever. Mist can usually barely tolerate people, but Lilly is intoxicating to him, and Lily can tell he is dangerous, but decides she doesn't care because she wants him.

However, Mist's time away from Hell was only temporary, and he's being summoned back. They only have a short time to figure out how to break his binding to the demon queen of hell before he it's too late.

This was very well written, and I loved it just as much as the first book. Thank you to Netgalley for the advance listening copy in exchange for my honest review.

✨Happy Pub Day to author Aurora Ascher 🥳

My Demon Hunter - the Sequel to My funny Demon Valentine in the Hell Bent Series just published today. WOW! What a sequel!

When two worlds collide and the stars align we are met with a Demon Romance I couldn’t stop listening to! Mist & Lily had me captivated from chapter one to the end of the book! Just your average demon trying to escape his life of servitude meeting a non practicing blood born witch & their shenanigans. We’ve all heard the term - “to Hell & back” - well, I guess you’ll have to read this one to see just what character did in fact go to hell and back. Oh and his Tail - I guess you’ll have to pick up this one today to know more about that too 😉 🔥

I do highly recommend listening or reading book one first. I admittedly picked up book one because the edges were stunningly beautiful. The story kept me engaged and looking forward and craving MORE!!! Can’t wait to own a physical copy of book two real soon now that it’s in stores!

If you like books with any of the following this book is definitely for you:
✨paranormal romance
✨swoon worthy hero
✨witty banter
✨”touch her and die” trope
✨found family
✨demon x witch

A huge thank you to RB Media, Kensington Publishing & NetGalley for my ALC and e-ARC of My Demon Hunter! I enjoyed this immersive read so much and look forward to continuing this series. As far as the narration it was good but a dual narration would have made it top tier!

For fans of:
- Bride
- Zodiac Academy

World's collide when Mist, a demon slave forced to hunt his kind, and Lily, a human woman, run into each other at a corner store and share instant chemistry. This book is little silly and a little sexy and includes elements such as:

- prophecies
- found family
- love across species
- immortal enslavement
- sisterhood
- soul mates

I raced through this book, enjoying it thoroughly from top to bottom. The chemistry between Mist and Lily is rushed, but fantastic nonetheless. The spicy was fun, and I even enjoyed the comical ensemble of demons trying to blend into the human world. I haven't read the first book in the series, but was pleased to find I could follow the plot very easily without it. I am absolutely looking forward to the next installment of the saga, and will be recommending this book to my more adventurous friends.

My Demon Hunter by Aurora Ascher
Release Date: March 25, 2025

🖤 Demon Brothers
🖤 Demon X Witch
🖤 Plus Size FMC
🖤 Found Family

This is the first book I have read by Aurora and all I can say is that her imagination is wild! Her character backstories and development evolved in the book that made the reader understand how misunderstood demons/monsters/witches were in this paranormal world.

Mist and Lily’s meet-cute is not what I expected… demon x witch x menstrual cycle x ice cream!

Mist, a demon who is literally trying to escape his demon ways and his mistress to live a normal life where he does not have to hunt. Lily, a witch that has no idea how truly powerful she is because she tries to hide her magic. The physical attraction between the two is so intense that a little miscommunication can cause problems.

The book is fun, dark and steamy… wait until you read what his tail can do!!!!

Thank you to the Author Aurora Ascher, RBmedia and Netgalley for this ARC.

“MINE,” HE SAID YET AGAIN BECAUSE HE NEEDED HER TO UNDERSTAND IT. HE NEEDED EVERYONE IN THE REALMS TO HEAR IT. HE NEEDED TOMAKE IT VERY CLEAR TO EVERY SINGLE LIVING BEING THAT IF ANYONE, ANYONE, TRIED TO TAKE WHAT WAS HIS, THEY WOULD DIE BEGGING FOR MERCY THEY WOULD NOT RECEIVE. ASC Review The Demon Hunter By @aurora.ascher.author 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 💫. 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ Firstly, I want to thank @aurora.ascher.author for letting me be apart of her ASC team a second time via @netgalley ! ♥️ I actually loved the second book more than the first it was so beautiful and you can truly feel the emotions and debth and love in her writing.

My Demon Hunter the second book in the Hell Bent series follows Mist a demon hunter from the underworld he struggles with his duty to Paymain fighting human feelings and newfound desires when he meets Lily via a adorable meetcute while he’s buying ice cream for his bestfriend on her period, Eva. Lily he believes is a human but actually turns out to be a strong witch. The book explores themes of love, duty, freewill and the complexities of human/demon relationships. And let me tell you Auora this spice had me litterly clenching my thighs… don’t even get me started on how he uses his tail. 😅

I love this Hell Bent series! This author’s vision just amazes me! This book gave me spice, romance, demons, and humor! I listened to the audio version of it and the narrator did a great job! Usually I don’t read books that have a lot of characters in them, but this entire series is an exception to the rule. I actually loved this book in the series better! All of the characters are likable, especially Mist and Lily! I love how Lily’s confidence grows throughout the book. It has uniqueness, vivid descriptions and excitement throughout the entire book! I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars!

Thank you to NetGalley, author Aurora Ascher, Narrator Kirsten Leigh, RBmedia | Recorded Books and Kensington Publishing for this audio copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Today is the book’s release day, so it is out now! Woohoo!!

I liked this one more than book 1! The narrator was great and I enjoyed the voice. I felt that the FMC was more enjoyable character and I absolutely loved Mist! I’m looking forward to the continuation of this series.

My Demon Hunter brings back the same amazing cast of characters and some new faces as well! I love this one as much as the first! Mist was a strange and mysterious side character of book 1 but we dive head long into his and Lily's story in this one!

I can really relate to Lily, she's a badass MC but is also self conscious about herself. Her character development is amazing to see and her relationship with Mist is mouth-watering! Mist is also fantastic we see him become more quirky and accepting of humans but also retain his feral demon side.

I also love that in this series we can kinda see where the next book will go with the characters and who will be the main characters. I can't wait for Demon with Benefits!

Book two of the Hell Bent series. The demons are still ridiculous, the rules are still being broken but this book is more focused on Mishetsumephtai or Mist for short. In My Demon Valentine we hear Mist make mention of how much he longs for what the other guys have, in My Demon Hunter he has the opportunity to learn what it feels like. The moment he meets Lily it was instalove, but it was also one of the cutest and funny meet-cutes. He is very literal and has to learn about the human ways, luckily he meets Lily who can show him that.
Lily is very down to earth, she did put herself down a little bit due to her size but Mist being who he is he was very loving and told her she is so beautiful. With him she seems to overcome this lack of self-confidence because she is one of the strongest witches ever. She just doesn't know it.
There were a good number of steamy moments and hmmm I now know why there is a tail on the cover of the book xxx

Really looking forward to book 3 because Meph and Iris chemistry was OFF THE CHARTS in the few pages they graced.

Stepping back into the My Demon Valentine world felt like returning to a favorite vacation spot—familiar yet full of surprises. This book delivered everything I hoped for and more, continuing the series’ perfect blend of romance, danger, and supernatural intrigue. One of the highlights for me was seeing the hunter from book one step into the spotlight as the male lead. His character brought a fresh dynamic to the story while staying true to the world we’ve come to love. Plus, the introduction of a new type of supernatural added even more depth and excitement to the plot. It’s like the series keeps adding new layers, keeping me hooked with every twist and turn.

What really stood out for me was the slow-burn romance that evolved throughout the story. The way the relationship developed felt natural and packed with tension, giving me all the butterflies as their connection deepened. The series does such a great job of balancing heartfelt love stories with an expansive supernatural universe, and I’m loving how the world continues to grow with every installment. It feels like the author has so many stories left to tell, and I can’t wait to explore them all. If you’re a fan of supernatural romance with a dash of slow-burn magic, this series is a must-read—I’m fully invested and counting the days until the next book!

This series has been so enjoyable to read so far! I think the audio book does an excellent job in capturing each of the characters perfectly. You really get absorbed into their world and can understand how they are feeling when events unfold. The narrator for this book is extremely talented and deserves so much praise.

I almost feel as if I enjoyed Mist more than Ash! He was so caring and was constantly looking out for Lily. I liked how the author made this book so vastly different from the first one while still being about the demons and focusing on another demon/human relationship. The spicy scenes were amazing and in my opinion even better in this book than the first one.

I can not wait for the next book! Meth's banter constantly has me laughing and I can't wait to see what human he decides to take on. One of my favorite parts in this book is when Lily's sister is looking for her and Meth says she can't come in and that there is a big orgy going on. He is so quick on his feet with his jokes and always seems so clever. Thank you to Netgalley, RBmedia, and Aurora Ascher for an ARC of this audio book. This review is my own honest opinion. I can't wait to add the rest of these gorgeous books to my bookshelf when they are released. I can't wait to listen to the other audio books in the future as well.

This was soooo good! I have been in need of a great paranormal romance and My Demon Hunter worked perfectly! Mist the demon is such a precious babe - watching him stumble his way in human society while trying to blend in was so heartwarming and at times hilarious. Lily the witch is a plus sized baddie who is trying and failing to suppress her witchy side. After Mist and Lily have a chance encounter, Mist becomes obsessed with the thought of having her as his.
Armed with some questionable advice from his 'brothers', Mist sets out to make Lily his. Cue the angst and antics.
Mist is such a good book boyfriend, I just wanted to give him a big hug the entire time I was listening. Theres something about a feral man who becomes such a softie for his girl. This book was a 10 out of 10 and I cant wait to read about the rest of the gang - Iris in particular I already know is going to be a wild ride!
I listened to this on audiobook and the narration was fantastic! I'm not normally one who enjoys a single narrator but Kirsten Leigh did such a great job.
Plus sized fmc, size difference, giant of a man (demon?) with WINGS, snarky friends, NO slow burn
Thank you for the advanced audio copy in exchange for my honest review

This series is turning out to be so fun and a much needed lighthearted take on demon romance. The narration in this was perfect, the characters sounded just as I thought they should. MIst and Lily were such cute main characters, their quirks definitely gave a feeling of neurodivergent rep, and I appreciated that. I can't wait to see where this series goes!

I loved being able to catch up with the boys in the hell bent series. I was able to listen to this in the audio format. Our narrator did a wonderful job of Mist and Lily’s story out she did a wonderful job of slipping in the secret accent that Lily’s character has tried to hide. Having. Mist character development as he learns to be more human and fighting the control of his mistress.
This is a monster romance with Demons so it is a little grey in some areas. It’s also spicy.

Thank you to NetGalley and Recorded Books for providing me with an advanced listener copy of this book.

This book was amazing! The perfect balance of humor and spice made this story even more enjoyable.

Kirsten Leigh did a fantastic job narrating, truly bringing the story to life.

I loved the depth of the plot and how it intertwined with the first book, My Funny Demon Valentine. While My Demon Hunter is technically a standalone, reading it first will spoil the outcome of book one.

My Demon Hunter follows Lily, a plus-size fashion designer and witch who struggles with confidence and has distanced herself from magic since her parents' tragic death. Meanwhile, Mist, a demon that tracks and hunts escaped hell bound souls, is attempting to "learn how to human" on Earth. Their meet-cute is adorably awkward, filled with misread signals, but their romance develops in a heartwarming and natural way.

The blend of paranormal romance and comedy makes this audiobook a must-listen for fans of the genre. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and engaging paranormal rom-com!

Ummm wow. Book 2 was redemption. I am going to need book 3 right meow.

Mist, has decided he wants to try out the mortal life like the demon brothers he was sent to earth to hunt. One day while shopping for ice cream for his menstruating human friend, Eva, Mist runs into the most interesting human woman he’s ever met, Lily.

Lily, a bloodborn witch, wants nothing to do with the power her now dead mother always knew she possessed, so she lives a normal life while her twin sister, Iris, begs her to join coven meetings. When she meets an odd yet absolutely stunning man in the ice cream aisle at the convenience store, her world gets much weirder and fast.

I had a hard time with the different perspectives in the first book, but by book 2 I felt better about it. I loved Mist and Lily together; their story is both adorable and hot. This book comes out Tuesday, so I must begin the painful wait for book 3.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for this ARC
