I loved listening to this audiobook. It was fun, upbeat, and so spicy. Nina is having fun exploring her options juggling different men. Until one day she gets a big opportunity to push her career forward, and one of her love interest pops up. Nina and Russ connection was immediate and captivating. Their banter and easy conversation was easy to follow and kept me listening to every page . Nina is confident and a force to reckon with , but also loving.

I loved this audiobook! It was a great follow up to Curvy girl summer. The FMC was so confident and knew she didn’t need a commitment with one man until the one man for her showed up in her life. I liked reading her love journey. This made me giggle and kick my feet lol! The narration was wonderful!

Danielle Allen does it again! I loved this story so much. I knew I was going to love Nina's character because she was THAT GIRL! She was a girl who was dating for fun and I loved seeing her navigate her roster with her choice. Dating with options isn't often something we see in romance books, but I do like how it was shown in this one. We even saw in Curvy Girl Summer! It's very realistic. Obviously Nina had her fave amongst her options, Russell. He was definitely as fun as she described.
This story was pretty low stakes even with the little drama that it had. Most of the issues came with the conflict of career choices, but I love how Nina didn't allow a man to dictate her choices in her career. It was definitely tough for them to keep the secret, but They found a way to work around the conflict of interest eventually. I also loved the little plot twist, I honestly didn't see it coming until right before it was revealed. It was a fun way to bring a little chaos into the story without being too crazy!
Overall I really enjoyed this story. It was a fun read and I'm really excited to see what Jasmine has going on! And, as always, Wesleigh Siobhan did an amazing job narrating! She never disappoints.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio for the ALC!

I absolutely loved this book! I did not read book one in this series but I will 100% be going back to do so.
Nina knows what she wants when it comes to her career, hobbies, and dating. She allows for multiple opportunities on all fronts to feel satisfied. When she meets the “fun one” Russ, she feels a different connection and seemingly wants more. When a contract inhibits their relationship, it’s a whirlwind of navigating what to do and building their connections.
And their connections are electric! Listening the Nina and Russ experiencing different levels of difficulties and intimacy was delightful! I loved the sass that Nina gave and the protector/gentle/romantic nature of Russ. Ooohhh it was amazing! I didn’t want to stop listening to their story. Wesleigh Siobhan was a great choice to narrate this story! Truly one of my favorites!
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for an advanced copy of this book!

Book 5⭐️
Audio 5⭐️
I was beyond excited to receive an advanced reading copy (ARC) audiobook of Plus Size Player (PSP). I had high expectations since book #1 in the Curve series, Curvy Gurl Summer, was in my top 5 reads of 2024. This book did not disappoint and was such a fun listen. Wesleigh Siobhan (whom I love) did a great job with the narration. I finished this book in one sitting because she brought this story to life.
PSP follows Nina’s love story. I appreciate Danielle Allen for writing confident, smart, ambitious, CURVY, Black women. There is no settling for the FMC, no negative obsession with weight and how she moves her body in the world, and no man who has to instill confidence in her. The MMC is also confident, smart, ambitious, and knows what he wants. We stan for a man who knows what he wants and does not tolerate disrespect 🥰.
Without spoiling the book, I admit I was worried we were going to get some tropes I don’t really enjoy, such as the cheating trope or the miscommunication trope. None of that here. We do get flashbacks to Curvy Girl Summer (book #1) and hints of what we can expect in Jass' love story (book #3). These books are interconnected standalones, so you do not have to read them in order.
I look forward to reading the physical copy and mandating all my friends read this book as well. It is an ode to being beautiful and deserving. Mark my words, it will be a top, if not THE top, summer read.

Danielle Allen has done it again. This book was such a joy to read. I love how she shares the story of a plus sized woman with so much confidence and power. The love story in this made my heart smile and the spice definitely was spicy. I loved this book and will recommend to anyone listening.

A plus-sized Black woman being loved out loud by a successful Black man? SIGN ME UP! After loving Curvy Girl Summer last year, I already knew Danielle Allen wouldn’t miss, and she’s officially an auto-buy author for me.
I loved how she introduced Nina’s roster and then showed the evolution of her relationship with Russ—smooth, natural, and full of yearning. And when it came to the spice, Danielle Allen did not hold back—she writes a man who yearns, and we love to see it!
But beyond the romance, what really stood out to me was the friendship. Every time Nina and her friends showed up, it felt like I was on FaceTime with them. Then there was The Real Housewives of Atlanta references that had me crackling! Their bond was just as important as the romance, and I appreciated that so much.
This story was real, warm, and so relatable—especially for plus-sized women navigating a world full of unsolicited opinions. I can’t wait to see what Danielle Allen does next!

The story flowed well and the characters were well developed. I recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.

Prepare to be swept off your feet and hooked from chapter 1! Plus Size Player gives steamy, confident, body-positive romance with a female lead who knows her worth and a leading man who sees her for exactly who she is and loves every inch. The chemistry? Off the charts. The banter? Top tier. And the way he pursued her?! Whew! Nina was laser-focused on her career and fine playing the field until Russ stepped in and showed her he wasn’t playing about her. Their love is happily ever after-esque effortless but still feels so real.
Danielle Allen outdid herself with this one. She gave us a love story that’s sexy, empowering, and full of heart. If you love a strong, self-assured woman and a man who absolutely worships her, this book is a MUST. Five stars, no question! When this releases, gather your book club members or your best book pals because this is one you’ll want to gush over!

Danielle does it again!! This book is spicy, funny, and inspiring! I didn't get much of the player vibes. It took a bit for me to get into, and I'm not a huge fan of one pov in romance, but this book was great.
Again, I loved the curvy representation and all the beautiful BIPOC social influencers and the behind the scenes of the fashion industry. We had a strong mfc who gave us passion all around, and I just adored her parents and friends! It was so easy to root for these two.
If you loved curvy girl summer, you'll love this one too!

This was amazing!!
I started out reading the eARC and switched over to the audiobook because if Wesleigh Siobhan narrates it, I want to listen.
These two were the perfect blend of a couple. Two people about their careers and personal lives. The FMC was confident and committed to her work but also her integrity in her relationships, platonic and romantic. The FMC was ambitious and determined to make things work, regardless of the risks.
I loved seeing two people enjoying each other while also blossoming into something more.

Let me tell you, this book was awesome. It hit every area that needed to be hit. It was the epitome of a confident woman who also happened to be plus size. Nina was a fantastic character, and I loved how she evolved throughout the story. She started out as a player before realizing she had finally found her person. Hell, this book inspired me to become a content creator. And the GOAT Wesliegh Siobhan delivered an excellent narration. If you haven’t already, make sure you pick up this five-star book. Peace and blessings.💙

4.5⭐️ OMG Ms Wesleigh Siobhan you brought this book to life girl!!! The spice was EXTRA SPICY 🥵 lol i had to cut the volume down in my car everytime i played it because something was always being said or done.😅 And i loved the forbidden romance trope. The love between the main characters was so genuine and sweet and they had me dying laughing when they were together. The charisma was amazing 👏🏾 this book was SUCH A FUN TIME!! 100% recommend!

A confident plus sized FMC, a down bad MMC, and forced proximity? Sign me up! I honestly love the character of Nina, her squad of supportive friends, and the love story (it is spicy!). I did feel like the book dragged on for a bit and was longer than I’d like (it took me about 30% of the way through to really start enjoying myself). This was an extremely fun listen and Wesleigh Siobhan is TALENTED! I legitimately want to listen to everything read by her now. 3.5 bumped to 4 due to the amazing FMC and representation!
Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook!

OOOOMMMMMGGGGGoodnessss!!! This book absolutely did not disappoint. I wanted to read this book because I read the first one and was so impressed and enjoyed it!! So of course I needed in on the second one! And, I knew when the audiobook started I was gonna enjoy it because because Wesleigh Siobhan(she's my FAVE) was reading!!!!
This book was so lighthearted and enjoyable.
I enjoyed the topics that were touched on. And how the author corrected the misconceptions of bigger women not finding love because of their size. I loved how Nina dated effectively, built a "team", enjoyed herself and found her forever.
The way Russ loved, protected and risked it all for Nina was EVERYTHING!!!!
The love story was so bomb!! The spice was on point!!!

Danielle Allen has made a true fan out of me with this one! Nina’s story was everything I wanted and more. Nina was such an intriguing and character side character in Curvy Girl Summer that I was sat for her book. I loved seeing her go from hot girl to lover girl.
Russ is THE perfect man. I love him down!! The way that he consistood ten toes down for Nina was everything.
The audio was phenomenal, Wesleigh Siobahn is a fantastic narrator. Her narration took this book to a whole new level!!
I love this series with my whole heart, I cannot wait for Jazz’s book!!!

Thank you Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the free ALC. My opinions are being left voluntarily. What a series this book did not disappoint.. I love when a book shows a strong af plus size woman owning and controlong her sexuality, and standing up for herself. This was steamy af early on and man it did not take the the foot off the gas. I loved the plot it kept me interested. My only teeny tiny thing was could have been shorter felt a tad bit too long.
5/5☆

I had so much fun listening to this audio. Wesleigh Siobhan’s narration was perfection for this story!
Plus Size Player was upbeat, empowering, and overall just fun from beginning to end. After reading Curvy Girl Summer I knew the follow up story would NOT disappoint. Danielle Allen gave us positive body representation, spicy scenes that left us wanting more, and growth of the FMC! The banter between the FMC and her “roster” was relevant with current pop culture references that made me chuckle, and not in a cringey way!
Thank you NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for this ALC! I can not wait to add a physical copy of this book to my bookshelf.

Baby, let me tell you how I had such a good time listening to this book! I read Curvy Girl Summer last year and knew I had to read this one. When I got the advanced listening copy I knew I had to press play immediately! (Other book plans be damned! LOL) What I am learning about Danielle Allen is she will get to the action immediately and I love that. She had me stressed from the beginning! I loved Nina's confident character. She was focused on her career while having fun and setting clear boundaries while doing that. Plus, she really knew how to pick her roster. But when the one rose above the rest... well he was my forerunner the entire time. Their chemistry was palpable from the start! I even got embarrassed a few times listening to spicy scenes to my car but this book was so good I didn't care. I enjoyed this book experience so much that I hated when it came to an end.
Wesleigh Siobhan was the perfect choice to bring this audiobook to life. She nails all the characters even the male ones. (Please tell me I not the only one who went crazy for the way she said "Nina?!")
