Amanda leaves her abusive husband while he is away on a business trip with her two children and moves into a rental on a quiet suburban street. Her son is not happy about leaving his dad or home behind and is making things hard for her & her neighbors are a little too nosey. Her husband is back and is threatening her for leaving then her son disappears. Did her husband find them or did he run away?
This is my first read by Nicole Trope and won’t be my last. I really liked this book and her writing style. The twists were perfectly placed and I did not see the major one coming and I loved it. The end made me gasp and it was perfect! The character development for all was well done you had a connection with each one by their stories or dislike them when or if they were meant to be disliked.
This book is for those who like domestic thrillers and similar authors like Frieda McFadden.

I always know when I see a Nicole Trope book that I will be in for a will ride and wow this did not disappoint. This was a fast paced thriller with lots of twists and turns I loved it and could not put it down. The story was well written with very interesting characters which were well developed. I love a twisty fast paced thriller and this was definitely one of my favourite reads so far this year.
Amanda and her two children have moved to a new area to escape her husband. The neighbours all look out for each other so when Amanda and her kids move in the neighbours are welcoming. But nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors in this closeknit street. Has Amanda put her family in more danger moving here.
This was such a fantastic thriller which I can’t wait to recommend to everyone. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this excellent thiller.

I loved this book! Amanda was a bit dense at times but I loved watching her struggles with parenting and navigating her new situation. Caroline was also enjoyable to watch as she kept an eye on the neighborhood. The suspense kept me hooked and the twist was mind blowing. A BIG thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC!

Determined to escape from her abusive husband, an Australian woman takes her two young children and moves away in secret, to what appears to be a safe and ordinary neighbourhood.
But within days - when her husband is murdered in the family home that she fled from, and her son goes missing - things feel very far from ordinary.
Nicole Trope delivers another fast paced and entertaining read, which easily earns 3.5 stars.

Welcome to West Street is another very enjoyable book by Nicole Trope. Amanda takes her two children to West Street to escape her abusive husband. I liked the character Amanda who I had a lot of sympathy for. Unfortunately West Street isn't the nice place Amanda thought it would be. Very surprising ending. Look forward to the next book by this author.

This was a super fast-paced read that was different than I expected based on the synopsis. It centers on Amanda, who escapes her abusive husband with her 2 young kids by moving into a rundown neighborhood. Caroline is her neighbor, who feels that it's her business to be in the business of everyone on the street. There is a lot of action between these 2 characters as well as others around them and it turns out that neither woman is exactly what she seems.
The book moves at a fast pace from beginning to end and the relationships between the characters felt believable. I felt terrible for the way Amanda's son treated her. There were some good twists in the book, though the major twist caused me to suspend my disbelief, as it seemed like way too much of a coincidence. That being said, it was surprising and I love being surprised. The end of the book was well done and tied up the loose ends nicely.
Overall, while a little different than I expected, I thought this was a good read and I appreciated twists that I didn't see coming. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was nothing like what I had expected from the blurb. But it was a super good, fast read. The Mc HAS to get away from her abusive husband and she has to take her two children with her. She moves into a neighborhood and things go in a total unexpected way. Definitely reccomend this one.

Welcome to West Street kept me hooked from start to finish. The mystery surrounding Amanda and her new life on West Street was intriguing, and Caroline’s nosy nature added an interesting layer of tension. The characters were well-crafted, and the suspense built gradually, making each new revelation more shocking than the last. I loved the unpredictable twists, though I felt some of the drama could have been more developed. Still, it was a solid psychological thriller with an engaging pace and a dark, gripping plot. Definitely worth the read if you enjoy secrets and suspense!

Welcome To West Street by Nicole Trope, when the book starts Amanda and her two young children are moving to a rundown home in a tight knit cul-de-sac. It’s nothing like her previous palatial home she lived in with husband Mike who owns a very successful jewelry store in Australia. unfortunately he was also physically and psychologically abusive and this is why she would rather bring her nine-year-old daughter Kiara and 11-year-old son Jordan to live in a rundown house away from what they know in their friends. while she’s moving in close friends and her new neighbors Caroline and Mary are watching wondering what type of person she is and Carolyn makes it her personal business to find out. Not everyone is happy about the move especially 11 year-old Jordan who seems to have taken the place his daddy vacated by the move and it’s abusive to his mom calls her a bitch and wants nothing more than to go back home and sadly his bad attitude in abusive nature isn’t saved for his mother. Caroline is incredulous about the new changes Amanda and her family have brought to their quiet neighborhood and intends to do something about it but will she be help from heaven, or help sent from hell. Soon Jordan goes missing and at first Amanda thinks he is with Mike but she will learn Mike wasn’t the only one she should’ve feared. I am so tired of these books where people let their children talk any kind of way to them and meet this bad behavior with kindness or nothing at all. It is a parent job to prepare their children for the real world and the real world is not so kind. as far as the book goes I was super excited to get another Nicole trope thriller because she has quickly become an author whose books I love and although this one was a bit over the top I would still recommend it because after all it is still Nicole Trope. Caroline isn’t your typical nosy neighbor nor is her Mary and Gemma‘s friendship your typical neighborhood click but then again if it was this book wouldn’t be considered a thriller. #NetGalley, #Bookouture, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview,#NicoleTrope, #WelcomeToWestStreet

Nichole Trope is back with another amazing thriller! Tropes never fails to disappoint with her thrillers and this is no exception.

I can never complain when it comes to Mes trope. I love all her books and can never guess what's going to happen.. But this is by far the best one so far..

Wow that was a lot different than I thought it would be. You just never know who you’re around and what their past is. This woman’s son had me infuriated for a while. I was mad that Amanda didn’t do more about him. But wow that ending. I can’t say I disagree with what they were doing, but this case went too far from their purpose. Great book, love this author! Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.

Nicole Trope is one of the queens of domestic thrillers. While this might not be my favorite of hers as the plot twist was not as twisty as they usually are but this is another great, quick, mysterious read.

Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope
Amanda fled from her abusive husband, Mike, with her two children, eleven-year-old Jordan and nine-year-old Kiera. She rented a house on West Street soon meeting her neighbours, Caroline, Mary and Gemma. Everyone is so friendly; Caroline even comes over to welcome them with a homemade chocolate cake and an invite for a cup of tea. But Amanda cannot relax or feel safe because her son, Jordan does not understand why they had to leave their family home and is constantly screaming abuse at Amanda and talking disrespectfully to her.
Amanda feels like she has not left the abuse behind but as bought it with her.
I would like to thank Net Galley and Bookouture for a copy of this eBook in exchange for an honest review.

An enjoyable, fast paced read. I liked the setting and the characters are well developed and authentic. The storyline is good but predictable at times and definitely a little far fetched. That said, I enjoyed the ending and overall the book is very engaging.

I have read other books by Nicole Trope and loved them, so I was excited to read Welcome To West Street. Unfortunately this was a miss for me. The story line wasn’t what I expected based on the summary and I couldn’t get into it. I try to put myself in each character when reading, especially when it comes to parenting, and I was so over the annoying, unruly child trope (why are you not parenting your kid?). The main characters son was so unlikeable, I wanted to skip over any part that he was in (I did not, which just annoyed me more). I felt like I was reading something out of a Golden Girls episode and the characters just didn’t sit well with me.

I really wanted to like this one as I’ve just enjoyed another novel by this author, but unfortunately, this one wasn’t for me. I found it to be very predictable (even though I’m not usually great at guessing the twist!) and the narration and dialogue felt somewhat unnatural.
The story progressed at a rapid pace and short chapters kept me turning pages. I didn’t trust a single person in this book, and I do love when there are multiple shady characters! While reading I got the impression there were a couple of different paths the story could have taken (I just so happened to guess most of it correctly).
If you’re a fan of fast paced domestic thrillers and love an unhinged character you might enjoy this! It would be perfect for a holiday or beach read as it wasn’t too long and was easy to read.

Welcome to West Street by Nicole Trope.

The story follows a single mom escaping her abusive husband with her too kids when she moves onto West Street. She immediately notices the neighbors are always lurking nearby when her son goes missing she’s afraid her husband has kidnapped him to get back at her. When her husband is found dead, she begins to suspect her mee neighbors know more than they’re letting on.
I love to read anything by Nicole Trope and this is another wonderful book to add to my collection

As always, a new psychology thriller by Nicole Trope is always on my read list, as Nicole delivers a compelling read full of drama, mystery and a few unexpected plot twists. Main character Amanda, is escaping her abusive husband and moves into West street with her young children. A seemingly quiet and peaceful street. But is it really? Neighbours Caroline, Mary, and Gemma have a few secrets of their own. A book that you keep on turning the pages until the end.

So now my mind is thinking about the characters Caroline, Gemma and Amanda thanks to the crazy and twisted book called "Welcome To West Street"
This was a fast paced thriller. I was captivated from beginning to end. All I I wanted to do was keep reading to find out how it was going to end.
The ending was not what I was expecting but this is typical for a Nicole Trope story
