As a seasoned home cook and a seasoned camper, I was very much looking forward to this book. I have never quite mastered the ability to cook over an open fire or the mastered the confidence to cook much more over a fire than smores or hot dogs. Firepit Feast is the perfect solution to anyone else in the same boat. Yen gives clear instructions for open fire cooking that give readers the confidence and push that they need to throw some good (real) food down. From grilled honey peaches to cast iron comforts to filling foil packet meals, this cookbook has it all. I'm very excited to put all of this in to practice soon.

I really enjoyed that this book actually talked about how to roughly tell temperature on a fire and what to do to get different temperatures. I also liked that it included cooking on a portable firepit which is much for accessible for many people.
