I was excited to discover this book club kit. I am a big fan of the Marvel show, Jessica Jones.
-The author interview is enjoyable for readers. Especially for Marvel fans to hear how it is working on novel-writing with a Marvel influence.
-The discussion questions are open-ended, thoughtful, and some are fun such as "Which super power would you have and why?"
-The printable bookmarks are aesthetically pleasing.
-"Food is one of the most exciting parts of a book club meeting and it's always more fun when it's inspired by the book." 100% agree with this and this book club kit makes it so easy to provide themed-food and drink!
-The activity ideas were fun and themed-appropriately and great suggestions for recommended books!

This is the perfect guide! This book is not a lighthearted book, but you can make the discussion easier and fun with this guide. The activities are a fun little add on. I loved the interview. Also seeing all her books in one place is so helpful!

The book club kit was fantastic! My book club and I loved the suggested read-along. Playing the mystery game included in the kit was a highlight—we had the best time ever! I adored this kit and can't wait to get my hands on more.

As a Marvel fan, I thought this kit was fantastic! It showed great attention to detail and included some really fun activity suggestions for after reading.
One of the bookmarks ended up being my favorite, and I know I’ll keep using it.

I haven’t read the actual book yet, but I loved the Jessica Jones tv series, so didn’t mind reading this even if it contained some spoilers for me. I feel like this would make a great addition to any book club - I definitely want to pick up and read the book, now. From recipes to puzzles to theme suggestions for the food and themes for book club, and free printable bookmarks, this is an awesome little kit I think any book club member reading the book would love.

I almost skipped this book when I saw it involved a superhero and had Marvel in the series title. I am not a big fantasy reader. But since I’ve enjoyed Lisa Jewell’s other novels, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try. I’m so glad I did! While it wasn’t my favorite of hers, there’s just something about Lisa Jewell’s writing that always pulls me in. This is the first installment in the new Marvel Crime series, and despite my initial hesitation, I’m actually looking forward to reading the next one when it comes out.

Breaking the Dark introduces Jessica Jones, a retired superhero turned private investigator, who is drawn into a mysterious case involving two teenagers displaying unnervingly perfect behavior after a summer in the UK. Their mother, Amber, believes her children have been replaced by something sinister. Jessica’s investigation leads her to the secluded village of Barton Wallop, where she encounters Belle, a peculiar girl with a hidden agenda. As Jessica delves deeper, she uncovers dark secrets that challenge her perceptions of reality.

I enjoyed this book and would recommend.
