This one was just okay for me unfortunately. I couldn't connect to any of the characters. Maybe it just wasnt for me right now.

DNF at 37% because the author was basically telling me I’m a terrible person every other chapter. What I did hear was lackluster and too much dialogue.

This was a fun rom com with an interesting premise, great banter, and swoon worthy moments. At times it was predictable but I enjoyed those aspects of it!

I don't really have a lot to say, since this book didn't really stand out to me in a good way. The FMC wasn't really my favorite. She was pretty unbearably annoying at times and thought she was just the quirkiest person out there, which I think was meant to be a part of the humor of this book. The whole idea of her getting dumped 6 months before the wedding, and then trying to find someone else to legally tie herself to (I mean, come on. He could have been disgusting and a killer or something and just hid it from her for a few months), just because she doesn't want to take time to recover and heal, is just crazy to me.

Thank you to Allison Raskin, Harlequin Audio, and NetGalley for the AudioARC of this book. This is my honest review.

I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to think about this book because the premise of the book is Emma (female main character) trying to find a man to marry after her fiance left her. Instead of canceling the wedding she is trying to find someone else to be her husband. I was not a fan of the expectation of insta love and I didn't like how quickly she was able to move from one relationship to the next to the next. Emma needed some time to heal and maybe she would have been less crazy. I appreciated how everything wrapped up in the end but this was a bit of a wild rollercoaster.

thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc of the audiobook.

I really wanted to like this book. In fact, the beginning had me hooked and I was enjoying it. However, the narration was just not for me. No offense to the narrator but it did not match the vibe of the character and made her even more unlikable in my opinion. I also did not like how wishy washy every character in this book was. The men were brought into a situation that was so odd and each had their moments of "why don't you just leave" and then the female was complaining NON-STOP yet had the audacity to flip flop between each man then got mad when the one (I honestly forgot all their names) mentioned he still had feelings for his ex.

Again, I wanted to like this. It had such promise but the characters and the narration really lost me.

**Because of my negative feelings towards this book I will not be posting a review on my social media pages**

This was such an interesting book. It was a neat way to look at marriage. I really liked her experiment and the way she went about finding love was so unconventional that it fit. I loved the podcast that really made it in my opinion.
I am So glad I got to read this book!
I would read this book 10 out of 10. I truly love the ending! This is a romantic comedy book in my opinion. Definitely a fun read!

I loved this book! The narration was done well. The plot was engaging. And as someone with an anxiety disorder, the way that anxiety and mental health were handled was real and relatable. I will definitely be following Allison Raskin to see what comes next!

Okay, Save the Date is such a ridiculously cute and fun romance read. Yes, it kicks off with a bit of a farfetched premise—your fiancé calls off the engagement, and instead of grieving or running off to eat your feelings, you decide you're still going to go through with your wedding… just minus the groom. Wild, right? But somehow, this premise totally works. The main character is determined not to waste the time, money, and emotional investment she’s already poured into her dream day, so she sets off on a quirky, heartfelt mission to find someone—anyone—she already knows who’s also just looking to get married. No dating games, no long-winded love stories—just straight-up potential husband material. It’s a bit of a social experiment meets Hallmark moment, and I was absolutely here for it.

As she works her way through her "groom roster," it was honestly entertaining (and sometimes hilarious) to see which of her options seemed like actual possibilities and which ones had me cringing. I found myself rooting hard for a few of the potential matches and majorly side-eyeing others. The writing is fun, and the pacing kept me turning pages, but I have to admit the ending felt just a little anticlimactic. I was thrilled with who she ended up with—it felt right—but I was hoping for a more powerful, emotional payoff or a “wow” moment to really seal the deal. Still, this book delivered a lighthearted and original love story, and I had a great time along for the ride.

This book was such a disappointment, which makes me sad because the plot had so much promise. But I had so many issues with it, from the main character to the heavy focus on cheating in the storyline. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t a story I enjoyed at all. But I will say that if you want a book you can read in one sitting, then this is the book for you.

Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin (Canary Street Press) for the e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I liked the characters and thought the idea was fun—a therapist trying to find a last-minute wedding date. I could really identify with Emma’s anxiety, and I appreciated how realistically it was written.

That said, the story felt a bit forced, and the romance didn’t feel very natural. The pacing was also slow in parts. It had some good moments, but overall it didn’t fully click for me.

In this story, we meet Emma, a relationship therapist and social media relationship influencer whose fiancé leaves her just a few months before their wedding. Determined not to waste all her wedding plans, Emma decides to find a new groom instead of canceling the big day. She’s going to save the date by swapping in someone new.

She dives into the dating apps and quickly meets Will. He’s charming, kind, and they click right away. But when she tells him her plan, he isn’t on board. Will, who works as a podcast director, decides to pitch the idea of documenting her journey instead. He stays involved through the podcast as she tries to find love again. Then Emma meets recently divorced Matt, and it seems like her bold plan might actually work.

As Will helps produce the podcast and follows along with Emma and Matt’s budding relationship, the chemistry between him and Emma becomes impossible to ignore. Emma has to decide whether Matt is the right choice or if her heart is leading her in a different direction.

The storyline was cute and creative, but I struggled with the amount of political content woven into the book. It was a major turn off for me personally, and I almost stopped listening. I usually read and listen to escape, so this took away from my overall enjoyment.

The narration, however, was really well done. Allison brought the characters to life and handled the emotional shifts with ease. Her voice matched the story perfectly and added an extra layer to the listening experience.

If you're looking for a modern rom-com with a unique twist on second chances and don’t mind a little real-world commentary, this could be a fun and heartfelt listen.

Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the chance to review this audiobook.

DNF'd at 10% I was not initially intrigued by the plot or characters and when that happens there's no point in continuing.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harlequin Audio for my audiobook copy of Save The Date by Allison Raskin in exchange for my honest review. This was released on April 8th and I received it after the release, but have no fear I listened in a timely manner!

Emma Moskowitz is a brave woman. She takes being dumped 6 months before her wedding and turns it into a social experiment. Emma is a therapist and has the breakthrough idea of keeping her wedding date and finding someone else to marry. Crazy right?

The craziest part about it is the support she gets from her friends and family to do it! I could never in a million years get behind this idea if one of my children said this is what they were doing. However, the family trusts Emma and support her. I enjoyed that in this book.

Emma decides to take this quest publicly and gains a lot of attention. She has videos, podcasts, and much more on social media. She has gained a following and even a new beau. Can it go the distance?

4 stars. This one had me laughing out loud throughout it. It's an enjoyable closed-door romance, so don't be afraid to let your romance loving teens dive in to this one. It's a unique book with a very satisfying ending!

Save the Date
By: Allison Raskin

The vibes:
- couples therapist + podcast creator
- FMC attempts to find a new groom to keep her wedding plans after ex-fiancé abruptly breaks off their engagement
- MMC and FMC create a podcast about FMC’s journey to find a new groom

This book was a rollercoaster!! Sometimes in a good way, sometimes not so much. I enjoyed the ongoing chemistry and connection between Emma and Will! But Emma's stubborn dedication to keeping her wedding date was frustrating at times. Overall, it was a very original and unique plot!

The audiobook narrator was good and added lots of character to the story!

Content warnings: broken engagement, anxiety

Thank you to NetGalley & the author for access to this ARC in return for my honest review!

Interesting concept but a lot was lost in the execution. Emma is a therapist and she doesn’t realize that what she’s doing goes against everything she counsels others against? Other than the lack of ethics, this was an OK read and held my interest. Emma isn’t exactly likeable but she didn’t make me want to give up on the book. The political rants in the beginning also were off-putting but they seem to be everywhere so authors can feel like they’re connecting with their target demographic and I can tune it out. Would I recommend it? If there’s nothing else left to read, maybe, but there’s other, better books out there.

I had not read a novel by Allison Raskin before, but I recognized the name the instant I saw the book cover. After reading the description, I waseager to request it.

The premise of this was a little insane, but it ended up very cute. Getting left by your fiancé while planning your wedding is bad enough. But to not see any signs when your literal job is to counsel couples? That is much worse. To make the most out of the situation by 'saving the date' brings forth a hilarious chase.

I think this book had a lot of potential but just didn't hit the mark for me. I am really glad she ended up with Will but it took way too long and just made Emma sound not so smart.
