My twilight/ TVD / Teen Wolf heart is so happy! I honestly loved this, it feels like twilight for this century!

LOVED! I absolutely DEVOURED this book! The story captures your attention from the first chapter and I could not put it down. Although I’ve never read or watched Twilight (I know, I know), I absolutely adored this story with werewolves, vampires, and witches. The FMC and her friends were extremely relatable, and makes you want to root for their happiness and success. I am so excited to see where the author goes next in the story!

Blood Moon is for the werewolf girlies, the vampire diaries fans and for anyone who loves the supernatural and full moons.
We follow 18 year old Mira who has been mysteriously accepted into a local university. The university is in a town where there are local tales of werewolves and vampires. Some people still believe in them and others shrug it off. But Mira finds herself drawn to a mysterious boy named Julian who is cold towards her and she doesn’t know why and animal attacks are happening again. Mira starts digging into what’s going on and finds herself in a middle of an ancient battle and is slowly figuring out why her mother left years ago.
I had so much fun reading this it was fast paced, has super diverse characters which I love and I thought the tension between Mira and Julian was done so well. The story definitely kept me glued to the book.
My 2 critiques is that I wish it was a little longer and the lore and magic system were a little bit more fleshed out. It’s VERY similar to Vampire diaries and at times predictable but it left me satisfied I will definitely be reading the next book in the series the ending left me intrigued.

I wanted to love this one. I was hooked and intrigued when I heard the synopsis and was looking forward to a diverse and upgraded version of Nee Moon if Bella would have chosen Jacob. While I liked aspects of the book, it felt extremely juvenile (even more than twilight) and the descriptions of characters literally copied some of the descriptions of twilight characters.
