If you are looking for this book, you either have heard Joby Martin speak either at his church, at a conference, or on a podcast, or you just found the title too intriguing to pass over. If you are in the latter group, you are in for a treat. If you are in the former, well, you know what you are in for! Martin tells it like it is. No holds barred. No disqualifications. Like old school WWE from way back in the day! It's real truth. It's real raw. It really good for every man to hear! It's better if you put it into practice. Your family, your job, and your neighbors will be glad you picked up this book. So quit reading the recommendations and start reading the copy!

Stand Firm and Act Like Men is a spectacular book that is so needed! I was excited to read it, even though as a woman I am not the target audience, because I heard Joby Martin speak at the Acts 29 conference last year and just loved his speaking style. This book is written just how he speaks, deep, honest, and with a good dose of humor. I am excited for this book to be out in the world and get into the hands of some dudes that need to stand up and act like men.

Stand Firm and Act Like Men is the first book I’ve read written by Pastor and author, Joby Martin, and it definitely won’t be the last. This is a great book outlining the biblical definition and responsibilities of manhood. Whether you’re a new Christian or one that’s well seasoned, this book provides great insights into what it means to be a man in today’s world.

I enjoyed reading this book and loved how Joby interweaves his own humor, stories and experiences throughout the book as illustrations. He closes each chapter with a prayer and offers readers practical applications to help live out biblical manhood. He covers a variety of topics pertaining to masculinity such as standing firm, being watchful, being strong, and what love is.

I thankfully received a free electronic advance reader copy of this book FaithWords via NetGalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
