This is a very insightful and candid memoir about Agent Suarez and the outstanding work he did while undercover for the FBI. Inside the Cartel takes readers deep into the dangerous world of drug trafficking, following Suarez as he picks up drugs and money for the cartels. Along the way, you’ll gain a chilling understanding of what made these criminals so dangerous—and how corruption often benefited those who were supposed to be fighting it.
On a more personal note, Suarez’s love for his family shines through the narrative. His efforts to protect them, especially when danger came to their doorstep, add an emotional depth that balances the intense action.
The book is fast-paced, with few noticeable errors, making it an engaging and worthwhile read.

"Inside the Cartel" is a fascinating journey into a world that most of us will never experience. Martin's career as an undercover agent provides him with endless stories of danger, subterfuge, and quick wits to survive where one wrong move can mean the end of the line.
The experiences remind me of Donnie Brasco, Narcos, and other stories of agents making it to the inside to root out crime and corruption. It's hard not to admire what Martin accomplished on behalf of making our country safer.
If I have a criticism, it's that the dialog between characters often feels elementary and could have felt more authentic.
Overall, it's a great read and I wouldn't be suprised to find a movie or mini-series developed out of this book.

This book had me on pins and needles with my heart pounding out of my chest. This book is about Martin Suarez's time as an undercover FBI agent. Not only was he an undercover agent he is a Legend and holds the record for the longest continiously undercover.
Martin goes by the alter ego name of "Manny." he knows the ins and out of the cartel form the lingo to knowing the what questions not to ask. He infiltrates the Medellian Cartel and the deeper he gets he eventually becomes a high dollar money launderer the North Coast Cartel.
As his cover is blown the cartel hires a hitman. The hitman find "Manny" at the front door of his family's home. Read to find out how Martin Suarez survives the sicario.
