Thank you to Netgalley and Pan Macmillan for a copy of this book to read and enjoy.
This was such a fun read! It’s like are you my mother but takes it farther and changes for a daddy haha. And like how does a goose think that they are a bear it was hilarious. It was so cute and I liked that even when the goose learned she was a goose she still came back to her daddy. We really enjoyed it.

A little bit different to what I was expecting from Donaldson (no rhyming in this story) but cute none the less.
A sweet story of Gozzle who hatches and decides a bear is his dad. Unconventional and very heartwarming.
The book is set up more as a comic style than a picture book with several panels on each page.
The illustrations are fabulous and funny.

Adorable and sweet story of the cutest little found family. The illustrations just add to the charm.

This is cute! A little long for a picture book, and I could see my son getting bored halfway through, especially without narration, but I think that's more of a personal preference than anything. The illustrations are charming and the story is very heartwarming, especially at the end.

This book is a heartwarming reminder that families are sometimes made in unique circumstances.
Bear discovers an abandoned egg one morning in Spring. The egg hatches and a little gosling bonds with bear believing him to be a father.
At first Bear finds the gosling to be a nuisance as they are clearly not the same. However, with time and patience their bond grows through the growth of the bird. When it is time for the gosling to fly away with other geese, Bear misses his little bird. But what a reunion it is when they meet again.

This was adorable. Not what I was expecting from Julia Donaldson but so very sweet. A great addition to any young child's library - at home or at school.
