This is the book I've been looking for. As a church-goer, so much of the scripture can be taught in a vacuum. Knowing what was going on IN the world DURING that time gives perspectives much needed for an accurate interpretation and understanding. I have recommended this title to others already.

There's always interest in missives about the Bible, particularly the matriarchal figures. While some may question Tabor's scholarship, this will be of interest to readers.
