This paranormal thriller kept me turning pages! A killer, James Carson, uses an online dating website to stalk and lure women their deaths. This story is told from 3 POVs. Each POV is a different female who talks with Carson. The women are Meghan, Brecia, and Skye. Their murders span a three year time period, After the women are murdered, they remain on earth as ghosts. They try to use their paranormal capabilities to stop Carson from killing again. I appreciate the eeriness of this novel. It reminds me of Freida McFadden and S B Caves.

Thank you #NetGalley, #NoelleWIhli, and #KensingtonPublishing for my free eARC. This review is my honest opinion.

This book is intense, emotional, and completely unforgettable. Ask for Andrea tells the story of three women—after death—as they try to piece together what happened and prevent others from meeting the same fate. It’s creepy in the best way, with a unique perspective that makes it stand out from other thrillers.

The writing is sharp, the pacing is quick, and the emotional depth really hits hard. It’s not just a horror story—it’s a powerful reminder about listening, paying attention to red flags, and the stories that often go unheard. Highly recommend if you’re into true-crime-inspired fiction with a meaningful twist.

You won’t put it down!!

Story is told form the POV of three women.
Meghan, Brecia, and Skye were killed at different times however they have found each other and are united in a cause- that is to find a way to stop the man who killed them!
That would be James Carson!
He searches for his victims online. He acts like the perfect gentleman. Meghan called Jimmy “the Needle’ to her friends- as a needle in deep haystack of bachelors on the MatchStrike App. He is sweet and soft spoken. However, Meghan is murdered on their first date. Brecia was killed two years and Skye is the most recent.

Twenty-three years ago I read [author: Alice Sebold]‘s [book: The Lovely Bones]. The story is told by fourteen year old Suzie Salmon who was raped and murdered by a neighborhood man whose yard she crossed to go to school. It is told from Suzie in heaven and her quest for the man George Harvey to get caught and pay for what he had done.

This story is more involved and the ask part totally had me on the edge of seat.
So although “The lovely Bones” is similar in the idea of the murder victim trying to bring closure to their death- is indeed is different!

About the Author ~ Noelle W. Ihli - pronounced noh-EL EYE-lee.
Noelle’s two great passions are murder and horses (separately, never together).
She lives in Idaho with her husband, two sons, and two cats. When she's not plotting her next thriller, she's scaring herself with true-crime
documentaries or going for a trail ride in the foothills (with her trusty pepper spray).

The story is entitle “Ask for Andrea’ There is a sign on the mirror in the Ladies’ restroom at the local tavern- It states if you feel unsafe or even uneasy – ask for Andrea at the bar and we’ll make sure you get home safe.
I am not aware if bars really have this sign or one similar but should!

Ask for Andrea is a dark, gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The premise is chilling: a man who hunts women online, and the ghostly voices of his victims seeking justice. The alternating perspectives between the living and the dead give the story an eerie, unique twist that really drew me in. While the pacing is strong and the suspense builds wonderfully, I did feel that some character development could have been deeper. Still, the tension and haunting atmosphere make this an engrossing read that will stick with you long after you finish.

Can you seek vengeance when you are dead? This was the interesting premise of Ask for Andrea where the ghosts of three murdered women try to bring their killer to justice. It’s an interesting exploration of the police and community blind spots in perceiving perpetrators of violence against women but also very, very creepy.

A fantastic book. It was emotional and the ending was tense and had me gripping the pages. The character developments were well-executed and I was engaged with each of their stories. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to recommend it to my customers.

The concept for this book was brilliant. We have three characters who have all been murdered by the same man. Each chapter moves point of view and we get to know all three of the girls and what happened to them. Brecia stays with him, his wife and kids in the hope of finding a way to stop him.
However, it isn’t just a tale of revenge. All of the girls have their own story to tell and there are some sad parts when they have to see the aftermath of their deaths.
A fresh twist on a serial killer story.

I truly can't believe I had been sleeping on this title for so long. From the very beginning, the story pulled me in with its fresh, unflinching perspective on a dark subject. The story is oddly refreshing, given the subject matter. Rather than relying on sensationalism, the narrative dives into the characters' experiences with raw honesty and vulnerability, giving voices to people who are often overlooked in this genre. I found myself fully invested, not just in the outcome of the story, but in the journeys of the characters themselves. Their resilience, heartbreak, and quiet strength stayed with me in a way that few books manage to achieve.

Ask for Andrea is a powerful reminder that sometimes the darkest stories are the ones that shine the brightest light on humanity. I absolutely loved this one and would recommend it to all thriller lovers.

Told through the perspective of the victims Ask For Andrea is an emotional thriller as the three women try to use their position to stop more murders from taking place. Ihli employs multiple point of views effectively, giving the reader backstory to each character and then interweaving their stories. The world between life and death allows for a fascinating narrative

This book is both haunting and extremely intense, right from the very beginning! This fictional thriller made my heart race and filled me with anxiety. Written in three different women’s terrifying perspectives, this is a full on psychological thriller. It goes through different timelines, as we learn about these women. It was fast paced, well structured and had a very clear thesis. This book comes with female rage, vengeance and a satisfying ending! It has a strong villain and supernatural twists! It is filled with sadness, heartbreak, horror, tension and fear.

“Ask For Andrea” is about a guy that portrays himself to be harmless and extremely charming. However, he is far from what he claims to be. He murders three different women and these women are out to haunt him, so he can stop from murdering more women. This is a very unique concept and I really enjoyed reading it! Overall, I give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Content warnings include murder, death, violence, sexual assault, domestic abuse, rape and stalking.

I would recommend this book to people that like to read the authors S.T. Abby, Freida McFadden and Mark Edwards!

🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli is a suspenseful murder mystery with a dash of the paranormal. Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common: they were all murdered by the same man. He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then, he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves.

This story was so good. I liked how we got multiple POVs, which gave the book depth and helped the reader understand what was going on.

Thank you, NetGalley, and Kensington Publishing for the ebook in exchange for my honest review.

A chilling, original thriller where the dead refuse to stay silent.
Ask for Andrea delivers a uniquely haunting take on revenge and justice. Noelle spins the story of Meghan, Brecia, and Skye—three women who share a tragic bond: they were each lured, charmed, and ultimately murdered by the same man. He hides behind a polished facade, using dating apps and empty promises to hunt his victims. But what he doesn't realize is that death hasn’t silenced them. It's only made them stronger. Bound together in the afterlife, Meghan, Brecia, and Skye refuse to rest until they find a way to expose their killer and stop him before he strikes again. Through grief, rage, and fierce determination, they fight back in a way he could never have seen coming.
What I like :-
1 Powerful voice: Noelle gives the victims agency, allowing them to reclaim their stories—and their power—in a way that feels both devastating and empowering.
2 Unique premise: A supernatural twist on the thriller genre that feels fresh and utterly compelling.
3 Unflinching emotion: The book doesn’t shy away from the pain of betrayal and loss but balances it with a fierce, burning hope for justice.
Overall, Ask for Andrea is a raw, powerful, and deeply satisfying read about vengeance, sisterhood, and reclaiming one’s voice—even from beyond the grave. Noelle creates a thriller that lingers long after the final page.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for giving me an advance copy.

This book has a very unique POV that I haven't come across before. It follows a woman living her afterlife, this supernatural aspect was so refreshing to find in a thriller style novel. This book has your feeling for the main character, hating the villain and feeling overjoyed with the ending. Just what you want in a thriller.
This story follows the victims of a serial killer in the afterlife, they look on whilst he continues to hunt for more victims. I did feel that the narrative of the investigators and family members could have been touched on more but overall a very good story.
This book had a very unique concept and the story flowed spectacularly so I would definitely recommend this one.

I haven't read all of Noelle W Ihli's other books yet they are on my TBR but I will definitely be reaching for them now!

A very unique concept for a thriller! Three women have been murdered by the same man and so they haunt him sort of situation.

We get to see each woman's different POV, each telling her own story of how she met her killer (via a dating app) and how she died. They then haunt him, helping the police to solve their murders.

I did struggle with the different POVs at times, I was struggling to been track of who was who (but that is just a thing when there are multiple POVs. I was just getting confused with their own timelines but also how their timelines fit together.

I did find that this book dragged a bit (but I have found that to be a thing with this author( the other book I've read from her also dragged, making me lose interest at times).

Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! My Goodreads review is up and my TikTok (Zoe_Lipman) review will be up at the end of the month with my monthly reading wrap-up.

This dark thriller grabbed me from the first page and did not let go. The concept? So unique—three women, all victims of the same serial killer, come together to stop him from hurting anyone else. It's chilling and brilliantly executed.

It’s a quick read, but the tension? Constant. I found myself holding my breath more than once, and even now, I’m still thinking about this story. The writing is sharp, the pacing is perfect, and the perspective of the victims gave this thriller such a powerful, haunting edge.

If you’re in the mood for a quick, intense, and unforgettable dark thriller—Ask for Andrea needs to be on your list.

I would say this is one of the best books I have ever read! There is one part in this that is just an absolutely heart pounding part and I was amazed a writer could make me have the reactions I did to it. It’s sad and shocking and I felt all the feelings. I would recommend this to everybody, Noelle W Ihli is one of the greatest thriller suspense writers ever. Thank you for access to this, I hope the UK has the sprayed edge copies as I’ll be first in line to purchase one.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I enjoyed the writing style of this book. I like having multiple narrators, and this one was no exception. The victims as spirits being the novel's narrators, was really interesting and something new that I have seen in a thriller.

What I really enjoyed about this thriller was having women come together to try to take down this male serial killer. It is really commentary on how women keep each other safe and knowing men and their abilities to make women uncomfortable. I think the female solidarity is strong.

The tense writing was strong. She really handles the supernatural element well. Even though we are seeing the POV of victim's that have died, each of their sections were tense. It was tense reading about how they found their bodies and tried to establish justice for themselves. Furthermore, I enjoyed reading about April, the wife of the antagonist, and her realizing her husband is a monster. It's also from the help of those 3 female main characters coming together and bringing justice and awareness to who he is.

You will not be disappointed by the ending either.

The book was fast-paced, and he word and sentence choices helped create an atmosphere of suspense and discomfort. Overall, I highly enjoyed this story and will be reading more books from Noelle W. Ihli.

Wow, what a book! I sped through this one, but at the same time, was sad that it was going to end. Obviously, no one wants three young women to die, but it was a genius idea to make the book from their point of view after their death(s). As a reader, you have compassion for Brecia, Skye and Meghan as they attempt to find justice for their murders from the other side. I don't like giving too much away, but I found the author's explanation of what many people might view as "heaven" to be very unique and comforting, and was happy to know that's where our heroines would end up after handling their unfinished business.... Also, it's been a bit since I've so strongly disliked an antagonist as much as I disliked James/Jimmy/Jamie or whatever else he wanted to call himself. I wanted his story to end horribly.... and it seems like it did, so I was pleased. I've not read anything by Noelle Ihli before, but I'll be sure to look for future titles. Those is a book that will stick with you long after you finish, and I'll absolutely be recommending it to our readers.
