I loved "Los fantasmas de Rancho Espanto." From the very first chapter, Rafa's story completely captivated me. His adventures on the ranch kept me engaged and entertained from beginning to end. The way he navigates the challenges and mysteries of the ranch, alongside his new friends Jennie and Marcus, was quite fun.

As an advanced intermediate Spanish learner, I found this book to be a bit of a challenge. It wasn't so difficult as to discourage me, but just enough to expand my vocabulary and comprehension. The plot is exciting, and the characters are incredibly endearing. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and captivating read in Spanish.

The story is about a Cuban American boy that is sent to New Mexico to work on a ranch and uncover a mystery. Such a great story about friendship, grief, and adventure! It was a joy to read. Definitely recommend it to my younger cousins.
