2.5/5
Strong main characters with enough depth and individual challenges for you to really root for them and their love.
However, I feel like the threat that was established by the villain(s) wasn't resolved in a way that was satisfying. Of course, it's clear that the villain is the main antagonist throughout the series, so we see why he wasn't fully dispatched, but it makes the story feel a little unresolved.
I also get that this is a series with many characters, but sometimes I wished we got more time with this story's main 2.
I enjoy the historical aspect of romance as much as the love story, and the unique backgrounds of these characters in European aristocracy and politics, plus the additional context given in the Author's Note were brilliant.

I did not like this one as much as the others in this series. Andre was sexy and I continue to really enjoy the in depth information about how medicine in his field was executed in those days. But I had more issues with this volume than satisfaction >.<.
It was really repetitive and I noticed it even a few paragraphs apart. Thea described her initial impression of him the same way over and over. And the couple don't actually speak to one another that much while they are falling in love with one another... it is all in their heads. Their thoughts about each other or the kid. The kid really got in the way here, they spoke more to her than to each other about one another (in my opinion) and I just didn't care for her character and what she did to the story. Oh and apparently it was a secret who she was but they literally told everyone... it was a secret from no one.
2.5 for this one

This third book in the Miracles of Harley Street series was an exciting and captivating hidden identity history romance. It was full of drama, intrigue, action, suspense, kidnapping, mystery, evil plots, royalty, danger, and so many emotional issues and twists that kept me very entertained. The characters were determined, intelligent, and strong-willed. I enjoyed that in the end, a once forbidden romance duento class differences were determined to be inaccurate. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. I highly recommend reading!

Hmm, okay, Thea and Andre need more page time together. There's a connection, but this could have been explored more deeply.the premise of Harley Street doctors is still engaging, and the writing is good.

I really enjoyed this forbidden love romance with its added class disparity, secret/hidden identity and friend’s sister
tropes. The plot is very well written and brimming with heartfelt emotion, romance, political intrigue, societal expectations, suspense, danger, twists and a little steam. Andre and Thea are very likable characters with great chemistry. Their inner conflicts, despair and longing were palpable throughout the book. I also loved little Mary, who added humor and lightness to the story with her curiosity and zest for life.
To escape an unwanted marriage to a Habsburg prince, Thea, Princess Josephine Theodora Andrea von Hohenzollen-Sigmaringen, flees to England in search of her brother Stan and works incognito as a governess. At a ball she attends with her employers and her charge Mary, she and Mary are kidnapped but accidentally rescued by Stan and his friend Dr. Andre Fernando. Stan is injured during the rescue and they hide out at 87 Harley Street. It is clear that the Prussian Baron von List, who sabotages trade in their homeland and is a known Jew-hater, is behind the kidnapping.
Years ago, Andre had to flee his home in Florence during a raid by Napoleonic soldiers and leave his family behind. He hid his true identity, studied medicine and became a doctor.
Andre loves his work as an orthopedist and the family he has found in his colleagues at Harley Street. When he meets Thea, he is immediately attracted to her, but as a doctor and with the dark secret of his origins, he will never be good enough for a princess and Thea has to marry strategically to protect her country…
I recommend this book to anyone who likes heartwarming historical romance novels with happy endings against all odds and am looking forward to Stan and Wendy‘s story!
I received a free ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and left voluntarily.

A story filled with political implications versus love. Princess Thea runs away from a betrothal and wants to create her own destiny. She knows she needs her brother's help so she flees to England. Thea's character is one of strength even as she questions herself. In England, she meets Dr Andre Fernando. His character is very intriguing and filled with secrets. Even as he tries to maintain his distance from Thea, he finds it impossible. Its a very detailed story with full descriptions to help the reader understand all that is happening.

This is a well-written, entertaining, historical romance novel. It has a likable and engaging female protagonist, a kind and caring male protagonist, wit, a touch of humor, an adorable child, an evil villain, suspense, intrigue, and a heartwarming, unforgettable romance. This is the third entry in Ms. Adrien's "Miracles on Harley Street" series, and it can be read as a stand alone. The preface contains an overview of the characters from the other entries in this series, and it is helpful to readers who have not read the previous works. The appearance of characters from the other novels has piqued my interest in reading their stories. The author's note is interesting and informative, and is truly appreciated. Many thanks to Ms. Adrien, Dragonblade Publishing, and NetGalley, from whom I received an advanced reader copy of this wonderful novel. This is my honest opinion.

A lovely romance with engaging characters and a story that keeps on giving. Forbidden love and secrets abound but Andre and Thea find a wonderful happily ever after. An entertaining read with undeniable connection and passion.

Dr. Andre Fernando is a determined doctor who has steadfastly built up his 87 Harley Street practice. Whilst his colleagues believe him to be an Italian doctor with unmatched skill, only he knows the painful secret he keeps that prevents him from claiming that life that he truly wants. When a highwayman attack thrusts Princess Thea into his arms, his carefully constructed world begins to crack. Thea has run away from an unwanted betrothal and has been hiding as a governess to escape an unwanted marriage. However, she has been followed, and her encounter leaves her under the care of Andre. Their connection is instantaneous, but they are not truly safe until Thea and Andre face their past.
Whilst this book was a standalone story, I did, at times, find myself trying to find the connection between characters. I did enjoy both Andre and Thea, despite Thea’s initial arrogance towards Andre. Their slow-burn romance was interesting to read as their past lives were gradually reviewed. A clever plot with great characters that brought the story to life.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I had been enjoying the previous medical romances from Miracles on Harley Street and was looking forward to Dr. Andre's story. The oculist and apothecary were both googoo over their gals, but still remained very sweet. I was expecting the same routine this time around, but was found lacking. Andre and Princess Thea's story was very different from their predecessors. It seemed like they barely spent any alone time together yet still managed to fall in love at a breakneck pace. Most of their interactions were interrupted by Thea's young ward who honestly exchanged more words with Andre than she did! I cannot stand children in romance novels unless they're babbling babies. I don't want to read their unrealistic dialogue nor their poor timing to constantly bother their parental figure. The family bonding can come after the romance as far as I'm concerned.
A Touch of Charm was not similar to its predecessors and I was disappointed. Our couple barely had any time alone without any interference from third parties. I didn't fully believe their depth of love because of how short their time was together. Perhaps Andre was older, but he didn't seem as crazed over Thea as the previous heroes. I suppose he had more maturity, but I thought it was charming how the other doctors could barely keep it in their pants over their heroines. There was also a much deeper plot involving royal niceties and international warfare. It was pretty heavy stuff when all I wanted was a low-stakes medical romance. Is it too much to ask for some lighthearted fun about a princess falling in love?
A Touch of Charm definitely felt like an outlier compared to the previous books in the series. I haven't given up faith yet and I'm still curious about the other doctors at Harley Street. I'm hoping the next stories will go back to their roots. I'm confident the nurse and the dentist will get their respective romances back on the right track. I did like Andre and Thea as characters even if their romance felt like a backseat to the plot. Who doesn't like a princess getting her happy ever after? This Touch of Charm was too light for my taste and I would have preferred a much heavier dollop.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Dragonblade Publishing for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
This was enjoyable, but it felt like the fmc had very little agency throughout the book.

Let me say up front, I LOVE this author. Her style of writing matches my style of reading material. That said, this is not one of my favorite books by her. It seemed overly long (by about 10 chapters) and had a tendency to reiterate the same feelings of the characters over and over again, without adding anything new to the story. I adored hearing Andre’s story and could really feel Thea’s desire to NOT be a princess. I never looked at a Royal’s life other than the superficial and I learned a lot from this story. I am not a fan of wordy descriptions that this book has, but do not remember her other books having. The story line was good but the climax didn’t seem to fit the intensity of the peril the Royal family was in. The Modeste scene with Miss Mary and the cat was hilarious and I felt that the scene with Andre and Anna’s husband, Paul was a bit confusing. I look forward to the others on Harley Street getting their stories, as well as the Princes ( Stan and Alex). I just hope there is more action and less “pondering” by the characters..
I received this story for free and these are my own opinions
