This whirlwind thriller is packed with suspense and unexpected twists. I never saw the ending coming—and it absolutely blew me away! I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook for review, and it was phenomenal. The narrator brought the tension and mystery to life, making the entire experience a thrilling ride from start to finish.
Thank you, Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for the opportunity to listen and review this one! It definitely kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat!

THE BEST SUSPENSE Book this year! Full of plot twists, dangers, insecurities and OMG moments, this nail biter kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end!!

This book definitely kept me guessing, but I did have a hard time following along at times. And the Petal chapters kept me feeling extremely uneasy, like chills down my spine uneasy.
Thank you netgalley for an ALC. The narrator did a great job with this one.

A twisty psychological thriller that will satiate any thriller reader that appreciates an accurate portrayal of trauma including the unfortunate reality of abuse and manipulation. A dark and gritty story that will stay with you long after reading.

VERY twisty and dark in the best way. This case of mistaken identity was done with an expertise that I was impressed with. The narrator killed it. I love domestic suspense novels but this one came with something a little different. Would highly recommend.

I was excited to read this book by the description, but as I got into it, it was just too dark for me overall. I did not fully finish this because it was too much for me.

This book was a wild ride. So manyy twists and turns. I listened to the audio version and the voice actor did an amazing job. I will say that it took admit 20% in for the book to really get going and grab my attention. Once out did i become invested in the characters and storyline. I did have a hard time following at times especially when it flashed back, though it mage more sense in the end. I enjoyed the book and would definitely read anther by this author.
Thank you netgalley for an advanced copy of this book on exchange for my honest review. Everything stayed above is true and my own personal thoughts.

Now this is a great mystery!Right down to the last page! I haven't read Jessica R. Patch before but The Other Sister is an example of good mystery writing. When Charlotte Kane finds out she is an identical twin from cleaning out the remnants of her dead mother's papers she is shocked. She is also excited she's always been alone, raised by an alcoholic mother she suffered hunger and lack. When she looks up her twin on social media she finds out she was adopted by a rich family and has all Charlotte always wanted. So she decides to contact her and they decide to meet. From then on the story is exciting and even dangerous. One thing I found difficult was the back and forth between childhood memories and I wondered what was what sometimes. It all became apparent towards the end so if you get the audio know you will understand when the time is right.
Excellent book! I highly recommend. Roma Evans did a very good narration of the book. You will be glad to did. Either read yourself or get the audio both will be a good choice.
Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for this audio version this is my honest review. I plan to find other books written by Jessica R. Patch

I read this book because I saw a post about it from one of my book besties. What a ride it turned out to be! I was hooked from the very beginning! The idea of discovering you have a long-lost twin—and then stepping into her life—is already wild, but The Other Sister takes it to a whole new level. It’s twisty, suspenseful, and totally addictive.
Charlotte Kane, our main character, is struggling to make ends meet and just wants something more out of life. When her estranged mother dies, she discovers she has an identical twin who was adopted by a wealthy family—her whole world flips. At first, it’s kind of a dream come true. Acelynn, her twin, seems to have everything Charlotte’s ever wanted: a loving family, a successful career, and a picture-perfect life in Savannah. But of course, nothing is as perfect as it seems.
Without giving too much away, Charlotte ends up having to impersonate her sister in a really desperate moment, and that’s when the real suspense takes off. She’s quickly caught in a web of secrets, and no one in Acelynn’s world is quite who they seem. What’s great is that we're discovering everything right along with Charlotte.
The story shifts between past and present, slowly revealing pieces that eventually come together in a satisfying and shocking way. Most of it is told from Charlotte’s point of view, which makes it hard to tell what’s real and what’s not—especially since even she isn’t always sure who she can trust. This book kept me guessing the whole time and the ending blew my mind!! If you enjoy psychological thrillers, The Other Sister will keep you guessing until the very end.
The audiobook was well done. I thought the narrator did a great job bringing the story to life and gave each character a distinct voice.
I received an audiobook from Harlequin Audio via NetGalley. All opinions in this review are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the audio ARC! I’m not sure what I was expecting but this fell a bit flat for me. While the story flowed and had a somewhat interesting central mystery, I didn’t feel like the characters had much depth. Everything made sense and it was interesting enough, just certainly not my favorite thriller.
The narration was well-done and a highlight of the overall reading experience!

I was intrigued to try this by a new to me author. Sadly it was just an okay book - nothing super stand out imo and I didn't even finish. The audio narration was good though and it is likely to appeal to fans of this genre. Many thanks to the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest feedback.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one! There were some surprises that I did NOT see coming! The pacing was good and kept me engaged and guessing. Patch does a great job with doling out information to keep you on the hook. I haven't read a ton of stolen identity/twin thrillers, but this one totally got me! This is the first book I have read by this author too and these 5 stars mean I will be checking out more of hers for sure! Really such a great psychological thriller!

All a thriller needs to grab my attention is involve identical twins. That's it. And boy did this one deliver! Charlotte Kane's estranged mother's dies and she discovers she has an identical twin sister, Acelynn Benedict. When tragedy strikes, Charlotte assumes Acelynn's identity, only to uncover a web of dark secrets and dangerous individuals.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book was everything I needed in a thriller! It kept me on my toes, which is not easy to do. Also, the narrator did a fantastic job! I enjoyed every moment and would will for sure recommend this book to everyone I know.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC opportunity!
Wow. This one had some twists in it and some i saw coming and others not so much. This web was so tangled and crazy.
I loved the flashback from Petal’s mom. And then piecing it all together in the end and what was Petal or her brother. Also their dynamic? Sick, haha. Especially when you know they didnt even know about adoption yet.

The narrators was awesome, I was able to tell who was who through out the entire story. I thought the pace was great and I was able to follow the story and put each voice with each character!
The past and present were easy to go back and forth and I was never confused. The storyline was capturing and kept me wanting more over and over. I couldn’t put this book down. It hit all the feels and the twists and turns and guesses were really thought out! The last two twists I would have never thought about! Easy five star fast paced read!

This was a wild ride! A psychological thriller full of mysteries, suspense, a little religion, betrayals, and major plot twists.
The author did a fantastic job managing relatable and realistic human situations: foster system circumstances, abuse, neglect, manipulation, additions, mental health, redemption and generational traumas. The plot moved quickly and I was engaged throughout my reading. I felt equal parts sympathy and frustration with our main character, Charlotte, while watching her work so hard to save herself but also making mistake after mistake.
The dual timeline added a unique mysterious component, as we did not find out the "who" was narrating the historical timeline until the end of the book. Overall, the book gave me eerie vibes, peaked my curiosity and had me thinking about how people end up the way they do - despite or because of their upbringings. I really enjoyed reading it!

Thank you to the publishers, author and NetGalley for the free copy of this audio book.
Enjoyable read, with plenty of twists to keep you guessing. I would read more by this author!

The Other Sister by Jessica Patch delivers an intriguing premise: Charlotte Kane, a struggling artist from the foster system, discovers a twin sister, Acelynn, after their birth mother dies. When tragedy strikes, Charlotte steps into Acelynn’s seemingly perfect life only to uncover dark secrets, false friends, and a lurking serial killer.
Told mostly from Charlotte’s point of view, the story blurs the line between truth and lies, with flashbacks adding depth to the mystery. The pacing is strong, and the twists kept me engaged, though some moments required a bit of suspension of disbelief. The romance and faith elements were present but light, and side characters could have used more development.
The audiobook was well done. The narrator captured each character distinctly and added emotional weight. This is a solid pick for fans of psychological thrillers who enjoy unreliable narrators and layered suspense. Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance for the advanced listener copy.

Thank you to Harlequin Audio and Netgalley for this ALC in exchange for an honest review.
The Other Sister by Jessica R. Patch was a dark and captivating thriller full of twists one after the other. If you like a thriller that keeps you on your toes from beginning to end then The Other Sister is exactly what you're looking for. The characters are complex and layered. I really enjoyed seeing their deeper personalities unfold throughout the story. It's hard to say much without spoiling anything but if you want a fast paced story full of dark tones, deep characters, and twist after twist then you have to try The Other Sisters by Jessica R. Patch. It's my first book by this author and it definitely won't be the last.
