This was a really good book! I couldn’t put it down actually. Great writing style and easy to read. Would recommend as a quick thriller read!!

This book of fiction follows one of the many mommy influencers who claim to be traditional wives and fill their accounts with pictures of the perfect life. I think we all know by now that the perfect pies and cakes and perfect children don't really exist and all of these accounts are shams. This story though was very dark and I hope the majority of these trad wives are not so horrible. Madison lives on a large ranch in Wyoming with her handsome husband Michael and is expecting her fourth child. The story starts when she decides to hire a tutor for her children and ends up with Cally who is a liberal young woman from Boston who needs money. Madison doesn't participate in any part of her actual life. Her best friend/housekeeper Lori does all the cleaning, cooking, baking and child care and even more which we find out later. Some parts of the story were unbelievable to me including Lori allowing herself to be treated so poorly, Cally signing a year long contract which gives her not one day or hour off in 365 days and husband Michael who somehow doesn't know his wife makes hundreds of thousands of dollars when the money goes into his bank account.

There are some interesting twists and turns and the author did a good job at plotting out this story, but it was so dark I had trouble finishing it. There is abusive of two separate pregnant women, gaslighting, imprisonment and intense child discipline. I never really understood Madison or her motives or the extreme guilt felt by Lori. I did enjoy the twist and the ending while implausible was satisfying. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in exchange for a review.

Decent and quick beach read, though somewhat predictable at times. Overall there has been a lot of talk about trad wives in popular media so it being the title of a book was intriguing.

This was more of a fluff mystery book than a deeper look into being a tradwife, but it was still a decently fun read.

Although the ending got a little confusing with new characters being introduced

I enjoyed reading this book. This story follows multiple story lines. There is Cally who gets hired to tutor the children of Madison who is an influencer as a trad wife. Then there is Brianna a young teen who ran away from.home with her boyfriend Jonah wanting to live the trad lifestyle. The story had a great flow and I kept wanting to know what was going to happen. There was one twist I did not see coming. Overall a great book!

The Tradwife’s Secret is a domestic thriller featuring homemaker Madison and her perfect family. Tutor Cally arrives from Boston to Madison's ranch and quickly realizes that everything Madison shows on social media takes a team to create - a team that is never shown in the spotlight. And Brianna is an aspiring homemaker who looks up to the social media-famous tradwives, not realizing that no one is doing it alone. With dark themes including domestic violence, this novel takes the sugary, simple life of traditional homemaking and shows there's much more to it than fresh-baked bread and perfectly matching outfits. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and liked seeing how Madison, Cally, and Brianna all had their individual problems that come together in an explosive ending.

Such a fun, relevant read! These tradwives have taken over social media and may have led to Trump's election. But their performances are often lies. This could be the story of any one of those women on TikTok in their aprons with their blowdried hair. The twist at the end may be a bit predictable, but perhaps because Child did a great job setting it up. Fantastic book.

Let me start by saying that I absolutely hate everything that this Tradwices bs stands for so this was initially a hate read (in no way towards the author). I honestly was pleasantly surprised with this twisty thriller that shows the darkness in these values. Trigger Warning for depictions of domestic violence but it sadly wasn’t there so much for shock value as it actually served purpose for the story.

This book is right up my alley with perfect wife drama! Everyone has secrets, and some are more damaging than others in this perfect domestic suspense that will keep you glues to the pages from start to finish.

Madison March is the perfect wife, the perfect mother, and has the perfect life with her Rancher/Farmer Husband. Her days are filled with all the perfect homesteaders life of baking sourdough to tending to the garden, all while filming it for her huge social media followers. Her life is "Picture Perfect" or is it?!

Liane Child does an outstanding job of pulling back the layers of the multiple story lines to this riveting story. The story is a slow burn but escalates quickly. This novel is perfect if you love, suspenseful, twist and turns, and wow your kidding me moments.

Surprisingly entertaining beach read, though somewhat predictable at times. The topic of tradwives has been so prominent lately, I'm not surprised they are becoming the subject of books, both fiction and nonfiction. This book was really more of a fluffy mystery than an examination of what the word "tradwife" means and how the image it projects impacts women in society. That said, it was a fun and quick vacation read.

I struggled with this book. I didn't care for, or connect with, any of the characters. They felt somewhat one-dimensional and boring. Pacing was a fine. I guess the fact that it was over the top was to be expected. If you are a fan of influencers, gossip, etc, you may enjoy this book.

This was fun, if a little over the top. It was everything I wanted it to be by the title, just salacious gossip about behind the scenes of a fictional tradwife. The twist was something I saw coming, but even so I enjoyed it! It was a little far fetched, but in a way that suited the story.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this ARC in exchange for my honest review

I'm not sure what I expected this book to be about but it was twisty, juicy and worth the read!

Trigger Warning: there is abuse and domestic violence (though not super graphic, but troubling)

A tradwife influencer, what could go wrong? Seeing the behind the scenes of a 'traditional' wife is quite the story. This book will have you shaking your head at the twists and turns in this story. Does the public actually try to copy those influencers and fall incredibly short? Is what you see or think the truth or do we ever know the truth.

This book really grabbed my attention! You see the popular Trad Wife on TikTok and Instagram, this was such a page turner and I had no idea where it was going!

Madison March is the queen bee of the #tradwives with over a million followers on her social media. She and her husband, Michael, a rich Montana rancher appear to live the perfect lives. From their children being homeschooled, to the home cooked dinners its all a lie a lie that’s even larger than you can imagine. The camera doesn’t show everything!

We meet Cally. She desperately needs money fast. So she takes a job tutoring Madison’s children. She has to sign an NDA and her plan is to make it to July when she will finally make enough money to free her brother, and she can leave Madison’s house. Cally has no idea what she signed up for.

Brianna has taken the trad live illusion and is determined to make it a reality. She’s only 18, and she and her boyfriend left everything and everyone they know. and moved to trad-country - Montana. She wants the type of life she sees the influencers having. But her reality has turned into a nightmare.
Soon we watch as the ending ends in a bang! ❝𝙵𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚝𝚜. 𝙵𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚞𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚝𝚜. 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚖𝚊𝚢𝚋𝚎 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚏𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚘𝚗
𝚗𝚎𝚠 𝚏𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛 _𝚃𝚛𝚞𝚕𝚢𝙼𝚊𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚘𝚗_.❞ prepared to have your jaw drop!!

This book has a really interesting concept! There are so many influencers out there showing tiktoks etc of this lifestyle. If you’ve ever seen a ridiculously perfect post on Instagram, and rolled your eyes thinking “yeah right,” then this one is for you. I enjoyed delving more into it and getting a behind the scenes glimpse into the drama filled lives of these characters. A huge plus to this book- I honestly did not even see this twist coming!! Thanks so much to NetGalley and publisher for this ARC!

As a stay at home mom, or “tradwife” I was looking forward to this book. If you are also a tradwife, this book may not be for you, as it pushes the narrative that this life is one that takes away your autonomy, that subjects you to abuse, etc. While this may be the case for some women, it is not the case for all women.

The only likable characters in the whole book, in my opinion, were Lori and Bill.

Im giving this book a three star rating, because while it did infuriate me, it also kept me reading.

Loved this book. Twisty and the story pulled me in from the beginning. I did not predict the twist, which made me gasp out loud. Well written and a must read.
