I loved this! Aunt Belle is match maker that can see what Logan and Faith just could not see. I liked their banter, both were feisty towards one another. I like that she didn't lay down and take his sass without throwing it back at him. I liked that we got to see more of the younger sister in this story, the three sisters are my favorite part. I really like when the FMC has a strong group of friends or family behind her supporting her. Logan was HOT. I really appreciated that a Scottish accent wasn't written out, I find it hard to read typically. I will say there was a subplot that really surprised me the resolution of it. Like it was wild but I felt empathy for all of them.

Can't Wait to read Grace's book.

I went into "Finding Faith" expecting a fun, slightly scandalous historical romance, and it delivered... mostly. The premise hooked me right away—Faith, a sharp-tongued Englishwoman stuck in the Scottish Highlands, discovers that a painting she posed for (a *very* revealing one) has been sold by the artist who swore he’d never part with it. Even worse? The new owner is her insufferable neighbor, Logan, a brooding, art-loving war veteran who already gets under her skin just by existing.

Faith and Logan’s bickering had that perfect enemies-to-lovers spark. That said, Faith frustrated me at times. I love a strong-willed heroine, but she took the antagonism a little too far, to the point where I wondered why Logan even bothered. Also, for a book set in Regency-era Scotland, it didn’t *feel* very Regency or Scottish—some of the names were pretty modern or international (Renee and Kassandra), as was the vocabulary ("zap"). But I'm not a huge fan of trying to render the Scottish accent in print, and this author doesn't try that. The side characters were great, though. Aunt Belle, the scheming great-aunt, was hilarious, and I’d love to read a book about her youthful adventures. And there’s a dog, and he’s a good boy.

The ending felt a bit rushed—there’s a random action twist involving Logan’s past that came out of nowhere—but overall, this was a steamy, entertaining read. If you like historical romance with a side of scandal and a grumpy hero who’s secretly a simp, you’ll probably enjoy it. Just don’t expect deep Scottish vibes or a heroine who’s always easy to root for.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

This was the perfect historical fiction with witty banter, great characters, and some spice along the way! Faith sat for a painting for a previous love interest and somehow the painting ends up in the hands of her enemy. She’s worried what he’ll do with it and even thinks about leaving her home.

Enemy to lovers with banter + a guy trying but failing to fight his attraction <3

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the MMC. War survivor without being overly traumatized and mad at the world, though he IS sullen. Also, he truly saw her, he fell first and tried so hard to fight it. Plus he wasn't an a**hole who could have blackmailed the FMC to get her. The premise behind the FMC's antagonism towards and response to the guy was believable and it was also believable how/when she capitulated in the end. Fun supporting cast without detracting from the main 2's plotline.

I'm not invested enough to go back to read book 1 (Hope in the Highlands) but I am curious and want to read book 3, when it comes.

This is the second book in a historical romance series. While you could easily read each book on its own, they are better read in order. Especially because the great aunt is a central character who is scheming to marry off her nieces.
All of the characters are a lot of fun, and there are some sparks flying.
Our heroine this time finds her past mistakes coming back to haunt her. Our hero carries the burden of survivor's guilt after his experiences in the Army.
A very enjoyable story that will make you want to read the whole series.
Great fun.

This second book in the Suduced in Scotland series is an entertaining Scottish historical romance that is about the second sister. I really enjoyed the characters' banter, what would happen next, or what kind of response would occur, and I definitely liked the lovely aunt. The adventure, intrigue, angst, banter, love, and family in the Highlands made for a very captivating love story. I highly recommend reading!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for this ARC.
This was just okay. Not great, not bad, but just okay. If you’re a huge fan of Bridgerton I can see this book being well liked but it was not for me.

She posed for a painting...

This seems like a pretty common trope...a lady falls for an artist, poses for a scandalous painting...which he later sells...to her future husband.
Thats the case for Faith. She's very shrewish. Its hard to root for her.
Logan is just as terrible. They continue being very mean to each other for the whole book.
Then it goes a sideways.

When I finished reading this book, I found it difficult to deal with anything else for a while, as the plot gripped me and I had to clear my mind before I could carry on. The animosity between Logan and Faith led to an uncomfortable level of sniping between them, as they both made assumptions. However, in the background, Aunt Belle was spinning her web and drawing them into her plans for them. Circumstances result in Faith being a guest in Logan's home when it is revealed that he owns a scandalous painting that the artist vowed never to sell, and Faith is terrified of the potential fallout. As they are forced to spend time together, the couple realizes that the attraction between them is possibly stronger than their animosity, bringing down the walls between them. There is humor and suspense in this romance, and although part of a series, it is a standalone and comes to an amusing conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley, and this is my honest and voluntary review.

If a book is set in Scotland, I'm picking it up, no questions asked. Finding Faith is the second book in the Seduced in Scotland series. If it wasn't in the collection's title, I honestly couldn't tell you that it took place in my beloved Caledonia. There was no abbreviated dialogue nor did it feature my favorite phrases such as "ya ken", "dinnae", or my personal favorite: "wee." I had this complaint in the last book and it seemed like the few dialect choices were minimized even more in this volume. Faith was a sour apple and she was a cantankerous bulldog towards the hero. They bickered nonstop and it was difficult to see how they would eventually form a romantic connection. You honestly expect me to anticipate a love match with these feuding fools?

I thought the initial premise was unique and one I hadn't previously encountered in a romance novel. Faith agreed to pose nude for an artist and he betrays her by selling her erotic painting for some much needed funds. The artwork ends up in the hands of our hero Logan, whose bestie is married to Faith's sister. What a small world. I did like that there was no messy history with the artist and he bounced as soon as he got his funds, hun. I was totally over Faith's harridan attitude. I was annoyed by her bullheadedness and misplaced animosity towards the hero. Enemies to lovers have become so predictable lately and all I want is an easy courtship without our heroines self-sabotaging their chances of romance. He's a rich, handsome, kind Scotsman. What more do you want, lass?

I do plan on reading the last book featuring my favorite sister, Grace. Hopefully her love story won't be as frustrating. She seems like the sweetest Sharpe and I'm hoping for a nice man who will treat her right. Maybe there will even be a deep Scottish burr this time around too! Once I finish this last book, I don't believe I'll continue with this author. I'm glad I gave her a chance, but it seems I need some assistance Finding Faith.

What a wonderful book! A perfect enemies to lovers with two prickly characters who spar and banter until the end. I enjoyed their interactions very, very much and I also loved the touch of mystery and action at the end. And the Highlands are a perfect backdrop! The descriptions are beautiful without being boring and all characters are vivid and intriguing. Five well earned stars!

I feel like a lot of what I could say would be spoilers.

I loved the enemies to lovers between Faith and her grumpy neighbor Logan. The painting of Faith done years ago and where it ended up is chef's kiss. Jaco is a best good boy and Notable Pet. And Aunt Belle! That devious, scheming, little old lady!! Belle is running circles around all of them and they don't even KNOW.
"Oh, but my dear, you're next." Get outta town!

Thank you to Dragonblade for the copy of this book. Opinions are my own.

Faith and Logan live near each other in this enemy to lovers story. Both come with lots of baggage from the past. The one thing they have in common is art. He collects it and she has poised for it. The beginning drags a bit but picks up towards the end. Book two of this series is good and yet the first book was really better and the third book is the one I'm excited to read. Don't miss out on it as the characters are fun to watch and read how they interact.

This series is just fun???? It touches on heavier subjects but the books themselves aren’t angsty or super heavy. And there’s always one detail that’s bonkers in the best sort of histrom way that wouldn’t work in a modern setting - like someone is always getting shot at, to heighten the drama.

Faith and Logan work so well together because they’re similar. Snarky and witty and they live for a challenge. I will admit that something about the way they agreed to an affair didn’t really work for me, and I can’t totally explain it, but that was a hiccup in an otherwise great book. I can’t wait for Grace’s book because I’m dying to see her challenge the male doctors who don’t want her around!

In this historical enemies-to-lovers romance, Faith and Logan start by rubbing each other the wrong way and end up, well, rubbing each other the right way. Joking aside, the two are attracted to each other from the outset, but Logan's distrust of Englishwomen and general PTSD after the war, combined with Faith's impatience with his grouchiness, put the pair on a path of mutually assured aggravation. But it turns out they have a lot in common, most notably their love of art. Logan is a consummate collector who acquires a piece that Faith posed for years back and hoped would never see the light of day. Without spoiling the plot, I will say that Faith and Logan shed their initial animosity, act on mutual attraction, and finally acknowledge deepening feelings, all with the help of incessant rain, a medic-in-training sister, a meddling great aunt, and a mysterious purloiner of tiny horses (I liked the light mystery element of the story). Aunt Belle, Graham, and Hope from Book 1 all have significant secondary roles here. There are several kissing scenes and one open-door spicy scene. Overall, a well-written, enjoyable read.

He hates the English, and she hates men, yet somehow they always find common ground to butt heads...

A year ago Faith and her sisters were exiled from London to the Highlands after a scandal. Now her older sister is happily married and her younger one apprenticing with the local doctor. All very nice, but where does that leave her? A failed courtship, an infatuation gone sour and a scandalous portrait – not to mention the aggravating, arrogant arse next door!
Logan’s time in the military earned him a title he feels he didn’t deserve, land he loves and money that gave him the freedom to pursue his passion for collecting art. But what is freedom with a dead best friend, nightmares, insomnia, an ailing father and a far too perceptive little sister – not to mention that haughty know-it-all pest next door!
When he accidentally buys her portrait, she wants it destroyed.
The end justifies the means, no matter the cost, even breaking his heart – he’ll get over it... but will she?

You’ve guessed it, this is an enemies-to-lovers romance, and it reads like a boulder rolling down a hill : slow at first, steadily picking up speed and then crashing full speed towards the grand finale. Both MCs come with baggage that is slowly unpacked throughout the story. Nice to discover the vulnerability behind their battle shields; it’s what ultimately binds them – that, and the secret crush they have on each other.
It was a good read, entertaining and full of sizzle, but I would have preferred it a little more evenly paced. The portrait was a nice premise, but a little less of the MCs dancing around the issue, and a little more of that tum-tum-tummm moment in the last third (nope, I’m not telling what it is) would have suited me better.

What this book definitely did, was make me very curious to read the third one! A doctor’s apprentice and her mentor in the big city... I see lots and lots of potential!

Angst, banter, adventure, love and family in the Highlands. Matilda Madison comes back with a new book, the second in her “Seduced in Scotland” series that started with three English sisters moving to Scotland with their great-aunt. Our second sister is Faith, she’s quite happy living with her sisters, her magnificent great-aunt Bella and her new brother-in-law. She thinks she’s run away from her scandalous past but when she learns that the artist that once promised never to sell her almost nude portrait has broken his promise and that the new owner is precisely Logan Harris, their nearest neighbor and Graham’s best friend she thinks up a plan to infiltrate the man’s house, destroy the painting, and disappear forever. But how could she have foreseen that Logan Harris, a war hero & hater of Englishwomen would fall in love with her almost at first sight?

Logan’s and Faith’s stories is pure entertainment. I honestly had a lot of fun reading the book and the pages flew in my hands. It has that element, that “je ne sais quoi” that makes you keep reading, wanting to know what happens next or what kind response will they get everytime they talk to one another. Plus there’s this magnificent character that is aunt Belle and her machinations behind the scenes, she has no shame and doesn’t pretend to have shame. I wish we had more of her, more scenes with her wit and her apparent lack of restraint. She’s probably my favorite character. Having said that, both Logan and Faith are quite loveable, especially her. Her mistakes and her regrets could feel relatable. They are very human, with failures and burdens, strenghts and weaknesses. They are not afraid be vulnerable when they are alone together, yet they wear armors in the presence of others.

I only wish the book had more pages, especially towards the end. As it is, it is quite enjoyable, it leaves you wanting more and it sets the premise of the next one, which I predict is going to be wild.

There is a scene in the book that could have been inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” though from another point of view. I don’t know if it’s intended or something that happened by chance, but I loved it and it made me feel like I was home. And there is lots and lots of rain and little horses. We’re in the Highlands after all.

An enjoyable Scottish histrom. I liked the storyline around the portrait and the smashing of stereotypes about artists muses.

Needed a "reading" palate cleanser so elected this historical romance.

It proved to be a good choice. It was an easy read that started with a titillating premise. The interaction between Faith and Logan was a moderate sizzle. The way it was written felt more of his perspective than hers.

Knew it was the 2nd in a series so a bit wary when approaching this read given hadn't read the first one. While references are made to the first couple, Faith's sister and her love interest, this book could be read as a standalone (important factor in a series).

Only thing that bothered me was referring to Logan's dog's 'arms' when it crawled into bed with Faith. Legs would've been a better word choice. Maybe expanding the dog's antics too would have added a lighter side to Logan.
