All the stars for this one.
Small town | single dad | forced proximity | fake marriage |
Cole & Ginger had my heart from the very first Silver Pines story. Their banter and angst was such a build up, leading up to this book and I was literally bursting to see where it would take them. It was so nice to learn more about their strong foundational friendship, both Cole & Ginger were there for each other from day one.
This true friends to lovers story was an absolute gem, filled with connection, chemistry and complex family dynamics. It explores the realities of family pressures and complexities of being a single parent and finding the right person to love.
I enjoyed reconnecting with the characters from the previous novels and finding out little bits about how their stories have progressed. Paisley Hope does a really good job intertwining all of the stories in a way that is exciting for the readers.
One thing I really enjoyed was the inclusion of text messages between characters. It just added a fun dimension to the story and gave a more personal insight into the relationships between the MCs and the side characters.

When you get to read the phrase “Law Daddy” in the first couple of pages, you know you’re in for a good read! This book has all the good tropes: sexy law man, single dad, friends to lovers, mutual crushes. Pair that with some witty banter and an adorable kid, and it’s just a fun read.

This was my first Paisley Hope read and I was so excited when I got excepted for the arc. I mean single dad, sheriff AND friends to lovers?! Count me in!!!
Oh how I love an easy read!!!! This was so cute and I binged this so hard.
I don’t know if it was because it was friends to lovers but the tension was so good, knowing they had all this history and the banter just added to their chemistry so when it came to the spice it was HOT.
“Ten goddamn years of unfinished business” oh 👀
Now I need to speak about the dynamic between Ginger and Mabel because it was incredibly sweet, you could tell throughout the book that Mabel was yearning for that mother figure and it made me so happy that she got it. Without them even realising it they turned into a little family (crying).
I do wish we got more of gingers friendship with CeCe as it said they were best friends but I didn’t really see it.
The only thing I didn’t love was that the mmc was sleeping around but then said it’s always been you..And it did feel like it was dragging a little towards the end but apart from that I enjoyed it and I’m already eyeing her other books because I need to read the other two in series!!
Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Australia for the ARC.

This book has now officially turned me into a Paisley Hope fan. I had the absolute best time reading this book. I loved the cute small-town environment, and the found family dynamic. The relationship between the FMC and MC had so much heart and depth. I was actually so sad when it finished but now it has indeed encouraged me to read this entire series. I knew I had to give this book 5 stars because I was still thinking about it constantly days after I had finished and you KNOW that's a sign of a 5-star book!
What to expect:
Best friends Brother
Childhood friends
Single Dad/Nanny
Small Town
Found Family
Ranch setting
Spice and Yearning
Thank you so much to Penguin Random House and Netgalley for my EARC.

This book was everything I hoped it would be. I wouldn't change a single thing about it, I was literally smiling at my kindle as I read. If Paisley Hope writes it I am for sure going to to read it and she delivered yet again. I devoured this. All of the "my wife" and "Mrs. Ashby" moments had me weak at the knees.
I had been waiting for Cole and Gingers story since book one and the tension and banter between these two at the start was absolute perfection. The way Cole watched Ginger at the start of this, stealing glances and getting territorial over other men was my undoing. I loved the dynamic's between Ginger and Mabel. The way Mabel saw Ginger as a motherly figure and so desperately wanted Ginger to be apart of "their team" hit me right in the heart. I will definitely be listening to the audio when this comes out.
I also need to know if the lake cabin outside of Lexington truly exists and if so where because I will literally fly across the world to see this slice of heaven that was described.

Paisley didn’t disappoint yet again, cowboy romance at its finest. Continue to love this series! The spice was the right amount to the plot. Thank you for the opportunity to read this early

I knew I was going to love this story and i definitely think it’s my favourite! I have been hanging on for Cole and Gingers story!
Cole and Ginger were everything but then you add Mabel and it’s a triple threat!
The spice and the banter was on a different level and I was 100% here for it!
But seriously Sheriff Daddy 🫡🤠
Ginger was a vibe herself, the energy she had and the love she shared with Mabel was so special. And I’m sorry Cole literally branding himself with a G!
Absolutely ate this up in a day! NEED MORE!
Definitely one of my favourite small town cowboy romance series!! Add to your TBR NOW 📚

EASILY 5 STARS!!!
I devoured this book in under 12 hours, I honestly couldn’t get enough of it.
The tension between Ginger and Cole was unmatched and the constant games of chicken they played with each other to see how far one another would go was so freaking good!
This book had some of my all time favourite tropes so it was no surprise I ate this up.
We had single dad x nanny, forced proximity, best friends brother / little sisters best friend, AN ACCIDENTAL VEGAS WEDDING!!! 💒
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am a sucker when there is a kid involved. Watching the bonds that form and seeing them being brutally honest / have no filter brings so so much to a book (for me personally)
The flashback scenes where we get to see just how deep Ginger and Cole’s friendship is was so lovely and made the tension feel extra high.
I love the entire Ashby family, they deliver every damn time 🤍

Single Daddy Cole 🥵
Okay, once again, the Playlist at the start of this book is *chefs kiss*
But back to Single Daddy Cole now 🥵
WOW. I absolutely LOVED this book. Sister's best friend, forbidden love, single dad, small town romance .. spicey, spicey, spiceyyy 🌶🌶🌶
I love how much Cole's daughter Mabel is incorporated into the storyline, and how her own relationships devlop throughout the book.
If you're after a Cowboy/Ranch based book, this one isn't exactly that. It does mention the ranch from previous books and characters, but this is more about a childhood friends romance! Regardless, it is a MUST read 😍
