A Vampire in the Bathhouse is a very whimsical and engaging read. The art is stunning, and the characters are unique and endearing. I quickly connected to each chapter in their story and look forward to re-reading this for another comforting experience.

Sadly, this didn’t work for me. It felt very disjointed and not like a cohesive story (especially with the rather abrupt ending). The description stated this was a full story in one volume, but it felt more like random pieces of a larger story strung together. Also, I wonder if there were issues with the translation as there were several places I had to reread to understand what was happening.

Super cute story, fast paced and perfect. I loved the story line of the vampire falling in love with a bathhouse and wanting to stay in the human realm because of it. The art was perfect! I can’t wait to see if the story continues.

I did not dislike it but did not enjoy it either. The comedy did not work for me and I did not really care about the characters. It's just not my cup of tea but if you are looking for a wholesome slice of life with queer representation then this might be for you. Also the art and character designs are welll done.

This is a cute and cosy manga with LGBT+ characters.
I found myself to be laughing at moments.
I absolutely adored the little devil chibi character.
If you want to read a manga about a magical bathhouse, then you will like this one.

I liked the book, however, I found the romance bit to be a bit disappointing, especially as I felt like there was a build-up for a relationship development that never quite reached where it was supposed to...? I enjoyed it nonetheless. The characters were quite nice, and my favourite was the protagonist. If there's a second volume, I'd be interested in reading more about the story.

Expected: a vampire in a bathhouse, slightly cheesy but fun all the same
Received: that vampire was definitely in that bathhouse and this was such a fun read
A Vampire in a Bathhouse opens with Luka, a bored vampire journeying to the human realm to
experience the wonderous healing properties of the bathhouse ran by the Amamitsutsuki family, Sakura, his little brother Umenosuke, and their Gramps. There is some predictable shenanigans: Luka can only refresh his magic by drinking blood (Sakura’s), however it’s handled well with some comedic timing thrown in. It’s a heartwarming read involving domestic character growth and a very sweet relationship developing between all of the characters.
Fans of Buddy Daddies and Spy x Family would enjoy this book.

This manga was so incredibly funny, cute and heartwarming. This is my definition of a cozy realism fantasy.
It was so interesting to see characters that are the complete opposite of each other form a bond with each other through many different situations, and the main character to be in real word community.
The art itself was beautiful, especially looking at each of the powers the fanatical characters have and how they were portrayed.
The ending seems to be a cliffhanger but the bonus story says otherwise? So I'm not sure if this is a standalone or if there is another volume coming out.

Thank you to Kodansha for the e-arc of this manga!
This was really cute! I like stories where a fantastical character has to learn about the real world (probably stemming from watching Enchanted so much as a kid) and this really delivered. Luka and Sakura have a fun dynamic, and contribute to such a cute found family. Overall, 3.75 🌟

A really cute manga with an adorably clumsy and clueless vampire. It's not too long and each chapter featured a different situation that was made even more interesting by the vampire. You won't be able to resist falling in love with the characters.
Thanks to the publisher and Net Galley!

I love all the characters and the story! it's so cute and warm hearted! I wish there were more! I hope it gets turned into a series!

I found this manga to be cute as hell. The part where the king of darkness because so small is so freaking cute. I hope the two mmcs will have a bit of a romance happen, but if it doesn't that's okay as well. It was nice to actually see a bit of the plot happen in the first volume then just have character development.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC!
This isn't normally the kind of thing I read, like, at all. I requested the ARC on a whim, because it sounded silly, and I guess my expectations were met?
I went into this expecting a romance, but there was none at all. This is mostly quirky shenanigans from the vampire exploring human stuff, and also the little kid doing cute little kid stuff. I also expected more bathhouse stuff, but that didn't really happen much.
The book ends with a big cliffhanger, which made me think there would be a sequel, but then right at the end, there is a bonus short story? And that short story takes place in the near future and off-handedly mentions how that cliffhanger gets resolved, so I guess there's no more loose threads to tie up? So this is a standalone.
Anyway, I didn't love this, but also I don't think I'm the target audience for this kind of thing.

Luka, a vampire, appears in Sakura's bathhouse when he decides to visit the human realm.
The manga is hilarious and I love the slice of life feel. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Sakura and Luka blossom as they navigate normal everyday events.
Thank you NetGalley for the e-Arc and this is my honest opinion.

This is short and sweet, a good read for anyone looking for something funny and fast.
The art is is very nice, the comedy is pretty light and fluffy and the story is nice enough, even if it's not something very deep.

This one is a little strange. I didn't love it, but the art was beautiful. I love Luka's character design. I didn't care too much about the plot though.

This was very quick and fun to read. The banter was great. The cozy vibes. It was just such a good manga to pick up and binge. And the artwork is stunning!!

Luka is a hungover vampire who is seeking relief from what ails him when he discovers the Full Moon Bathhouse in Japan. He has his assistant teleport him there, which results in him showing up naked, lol. Hilarity ensues when Luka decides to stay in Japan after meeting Sakura (the eldest grandson who runs the bathhouse) whom he takes as a pact partner. This is a wonderful slightly ecchi manga that is a completed story. If you like surprise demon guest, bougie vampires, cozy-ish fantasy slice of life, you should definitely check out this manga.

This was a cute, cosy, and wholesome slice of life manga (with vampires)! The art style was beautiful and the character's were super enjoyable to read about, I loved the found family dynamics. The ending wasn't very satisfying unfortunately, but I'll be keeping my eye out for any future volumes!

Luka, a vampire takes a look at the human world and decides to check out this human bathhouse where he ends up meeting Sakura, a man who helps out at his family’s bathhouse. When Sakura first sees luka pop out of no where at the bathhouse he’s a little annoyed but luka likes it there and decides to stay their and help out round the bathhouse. As time goes by Sakura starts to be more fond of luka. I Enjoyed reading this manga as it made me laugh for most parts of it but there were some portions that felt a bit weird and unnecessary.
Also Lukas familiar is just the cutest thing ever
Thank you so much NetGalley, kodansha comics and Niko Izuki for the gifted earc, i got this in exchange for an honest review
