“Till death do us part. Yours. Not mine.”

Did we need a sequel to “The Perfect Marriage”? Maybe not. Did I preorder the special collector’s edition months in advance and stay up all night reading an ARC? Absolutely! I am a die-hard Jeneva Rose fan, and I will read anything she writes. When I received this ARC, I dropped everything I was doing so I could read it. “The Perfect Divorce” is another mind-blowing, pulse-pounding thriller. I faced the ultimate reader’s dilemma of wanting to take my time to enjoy the book or to binge it to find out what happened next. Ultimately, I just couldn’t put it down. I did guess a couple of twists, but the others I absolutely did not see coming. I’m still a little shocked! It’s really hard for a book to live up to “The Perfect Marriage,” but this book was a fun and exciting sequel. I’m so glad we got more of Sarah Morgan’s story, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Thank you to Jeneva Rose and Blackstone Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

LOVED this one! After reading some reviews of The Perfect Divorce and it seems I'm in the minority in saying that I still love The Perfect Marriage more, but this was such an enjoyable sequel. I finished it in 2 days. The Perfect Divorce is the perfect popcorn thriller... far fetched and bat shit crazy, but I just ATE IT ALL UP! Highly entertaining and I give it 5 stars, just like book one. If you enjoyed The Perfect Marriage or even felt meh about that one, I would still recommend picking up The Perfect Divorce because 1) I loved it and 2) the general consensus is that it's even better!

This is a psychological thriller with a sharp, suspenseful edge, unreliable narrators and shocking revelations!

The story revolves around high-powered divorce attorney, Sarah Morgan and many others. I feel several things from the first book get summed up a little better in this one.

I gave the first book 3.5 stars but this one was so much better . Dark and twisty and full of surprises! The Perfect Divorce delivers a binge-worthy read. I loved the narration of the audiobook!

She knocked it out of the park once again. It's official I am convinced that Jeneva Roae does not know how to write a bad novel. I have been a fan of her work for years and when I learned she was going to create a sequel to her first novel the one I drooled over and finished in hours I knew it was going to be a anticipated read. This had everything I love how much I love and despise our main character. Sarah Morgan is many things a wife a mother a killer but she is most importantly a woman you shouod never cheat on and she knows how to plot better then anyone. I loved how thia story unfolded from all the perspectives. The new sheriff who was only a deputy in the first novel. Sarah herself the soon to be ex husband it added so many layers to this story. I loved the twists ND turns and how devious and manipulative all of it was. I actually found myself slow clapping as if I was watching a film because how this novel unfolded was a art plane and simple. I could not put this book down and the moments I had to ( I'm a mom so sadly the book did have to go down sometimes) I was thinking about it and wondering what would happen next when I picked it back up. This was a thrilling blast and Rollercoaster that I recommend everyone gets on. This had fantastic writing a villian you can't help but root for and twists that kill.

Jaw-meet-floor!!! What a fun ride this book was! I feel so lucky to have gotten the audiobook of The Perfect Divorce as an ARC from NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion. And let me tell you—I could not stop listening!

Jeneva Rose is back with the sequel to The Perfect Marriage, and she did not hold back. It’s been eleven years since Sarah Morgan’s life was turned upside down, and just when she thought she had moved on, chaos comes knocking again. Her new husband, Bob, has been cheating (ugh, men!), and their divorce is anything but amicable. Meanwhile, fresh DNA evidence resurfaces, dragging her ex-husband, Adam, right back into the spotlight. And if that’s not enough? A woman goes missing, and suddenly, Sarah is once again in the middle of a case that could destroy her.

The audiobook was chef’s kiss! With a full cast—including Mozhan Navabi, J.S. Arquin, Brittany Pressley, Andi Arndt, Andrew Eiden, and Adam Lazarre-White—it felt like I was listening to a high-stakes drama unfold in real time. The tension? Through the roof. The pacing? Absolutely flawless. I was hooked from start to finish.

The ending is plain diabolical! I just loved it!

If you loved The Perfect Marriage, you’re going to eat this one up. It’s out on April 15, 2025—so mark your calendars, because this is one thriller you don’t want to miss!

What a PERFECT sequel this was! My head was spinning from all the twist and turns!
I loved loved loved all the different characters in this one. Loved as in exciting to have more than just a few people. I love a good line up!
The mixed media in this one!🤌
And gosh to dive back into the devious mind of Sarah Morgan again what a trip!
No spoilers here but there’s so much more I wish I could say!
Just trust me the sequel and wait is worth it!

Thank you for my advance listener copy!

3.75/5 stars rounded up.

I read The Perfect Marriage a few years ago and loved that book. While I thought this one was still enjoyable, I also felt that it was unnecessary and wasn't as good as the first one. I honestly didn't feel like The Perfect Marriage needed a sequel but I'm also not mad to have gotten one.

This is pretty fast-paced and action-packed from the start with a strong FMC. The story was incredibly exaggerated and was extremely far-fetched yet it was entertaining. Sarah, the main character, almost feels like Amy from Gone Girl. At least it feels like Amy could've been the inspiration.

While Sarah isn't exactly "likable" she's also the only character that I did enjoy in this and I constantly find myself cheering her on. If you can look past the outlandish plot of this book, it is an enjoyable read. If you're looking for something more realistic and believable, this is definitely not the book for you.

If you grab the audiobook for this story, the narrator did a fantastic job. I would really love to listen to this story while reading along in the physical copy once this book releases.

Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for the ALC. All opinions are my own.

I think I liked this better than the first? Which is wild for a sequel to a thriller! That’s hard to pull off! The premise was unique and captivated me from the first chapter. This was super fast paced and I liked the narrators. I finished it in a day! Very twisty and worth reading if you read the first book! I also love the special editions she released! I already preordered this and can’t wait to put it on my shelf next to The Perfect Marriage!

The Perfect Divorce - Jeneva Rose

Jeneva Rose does it again! The Perfect Divorce is a juicy, fast-paced follow-up that delivers everything I’ve come to expect from her thrillers—sex, secrets, and twists galore. If you loved The Perfect Marriage, buckle up, because this sequel turns up the drama and doubles the deception.

The audiobook production was top-notch, with a strong cast that brought every messy moment to life (though I’ll admit, one accent threw me off a bit). Still, I devoured it—popcorn thriller perfection! Sarah Morgan is back, and when fresh DNA evidence reopens her ex-husband’s old murder case, the past refuses to stay buried.

Thanks to @blackstonepublishing and @netgalley for the early listen. The Perfect Divorce hits shelves April 15—add it to your list now if you love your thrillers sharp, scandalous, and seriously fun.

Wow. I got an advanced copy today and finished work early just to start it. And finished it! It was so good!! A really great thriller with lots of twists and a great ending. I’d say even better than The Perfect Marriage! Love Sarah Morgan, such a badass. Just when you think you know what’s going to happen then bam you’re wrong. Love it! Will be re-reading both together when it releases. Ps. Read in order!!
Also the audio was so amazing with the voices it really helped you picture each character!! Loved that.

Thanks to NetGalley for my early copy.

Okay, this had great narration and an interesting plot and twists -- but man, one of the characters is so bad I think you either have to hate her or admire her. It would have helped if I read the first one because it would have put me into this world quicker. This is a great book for people who love drama and consequences.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me listen to this audiobook

“A view is only a view until you stop appreciating it and eventually we all do.”

“You’re right about that Bob because you can’t cheat on an ex-wife.”

“Sorry, it was an accident.” 🔪🩸

“I love that my crypt keeper of a mother-in-law is continuing to screw with me after all of these years.”

“That’s unfortunate were you looking to hookup again?” 😂😂😂

“If anyone can best Sarah, it’s me.”

Thanks to @blackstonepublishing and @jenevaroseauthor for my #gifted copy of this audiobook. It’ll keep me satiated while I await both of my #preorders 🫣

As with all Jeneva Rose books I was immediately sucked in and should not have started it at 10pm because I had to wake up and adult the next day. I did end up finishing it in <24 hours though. 😬

In this latest JR follow-up to 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲, Adam is long gone 🪦 and Sarah is just trying to life her best life. She is now remarried with a daughter (Summer). Unfortunately her new husband Bob Miller finds himself in her crosshairs after a drunken 1-night-stand. Bob has made a fatal mistake of cheating on Sarah and she’s going to be sure that discretion is in fact limited to one night.

However, Bob proves to be a more worthy adversary than Adam was when it comes to Sarah’s level of FAAFO (F___ around and find out). Bob and Sarah are both planning to win at this game or cat & mouse no matter the cost.

The audio cast was so fun and whoever did the narration for Bob made him even more unlikable for me.

The pacing was good and kept me entertained from start to finish. Eeeek I get to meet Jeneva & Drew in April!!!

lol, this was fun!! I loved the previous- THE PERFECT MARRIAGE and I was tempted to reread it but didn’t since I couldn’t find audio available. This was a fun cat and mouse game between the spouses and I’m happy to see who won out!

4.5 stars rounded up. I really liked that this audiobook had multiple narrators, it helped me keep track of the story. There was one narrator that I wasn't the biggest fan of just because the accent sometimes annoyed me, thankfully that didn't really take away my enjoyment of the book. I flew through this one, it was an easy 2x speed and I finished it over a busy weekend. In typical Jeneva Rose fashion, there are some huge, jaw dropping twists. I did happen to figure most of them out but I think they were well hinted at throughout. I still think I liked the first one better, since I really didn't see anything coming in that one and the sequel was a bit more predictable to me. If you're a fan of Jeneva's or a fan of fast twisty thrillers, make sure to check this duology (potential series?....) out!

Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

I DNFd The Perfect Marriage and a few of her other books, but then really liked Home Is Where the Bodies Are, so when this popped up on NetGalley and I was in the market for an audiobook… sold!

This was a perfect rainy day, sitting on my couch, knitting audiobook. Narrators were all good (though the one doing Bob wasn’t my favorite), things clipped along, and it was entertaining enough that I stayed up later than I should have so I could finish listening. I think anyone who already likes Jeneva Rose will like this one - and people (me) who weren’t her biggest fans could also find themselves pleasantly surprised! Do make sure you’ve read TPM (or at least do a quick search for a spoiler review) or this won’t make a ton of sense.

I listened to the audiobook and really liked it. The different narrators were great! It’s a tad predictable but still a good listen. Did we need a sequel? No, but it didn’t disappoint like some sequels do.

It’s been more than a decade, since Sarah, defended her now ex-husband in the death of his mistress. Putting her past behind her, Sarah remarried Bob and was under the impression that her life was going well. But when it becomes apparent that Bob has been cheating on her, Sarah files for divorce immediately. She’s not going down this road again. But then Bob’s one night stand shows up dead and DNA reopens the murder that her first husband was implicated in. A twisty and surprising mystery about a woman who has put her trust in the wrong man, one too many times.

What a fun follow up this was to the first book. I liked it even better. I like to see when an author just keeps getting better and better. Loved it!
