Jeneva Rose delivers another edge of your seat, mystery thriller with her idea of The Perfect Divorce!

High powered lawyer, Sarah Morgan knows what she wants in life and makes it happen. So when she’s decided that her 10 year marriage to Bob Miller is over, there’s no changing her mind no matter what Bob tries to do.

Full of twist and turns and plenty of legal expertise this tale of murder revenge and divorce is fast paced, and definitely keeps you on your toes!

The ensemble narration of the audiobook by Mozahn Navabi, J.S. Arquin, Adam Lazarre- White, Brittany Pressley, Andi Arndt, and Andrew Eiden was extremely engaging to listen to. The variety of voice work brought the individual characters to life and really differentiated the different points of view throughout this twisting tale.

This wasn’t my first Jeneva Rose audio and it definitely won’t be my last - her books are always good for a good thrill and chill!

The plot of this story was good but the narrators are what really made the experience incredible. I don't want to say anything about the story line, for fear of giving it away but I did enjoy this one better than The Perfect Marriage. Honestly, the story itself was a 3 star rating for me but the audio book bumped it to 4 stars because it was so well executed. I was excited to see it was a full cast of narrators and even more thrilled to hear some of my favorites. All of the narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters and the story to life.

I loved this audio! I love full cast narration and I’m so glad we got the original narrator for Sarah back. My favorite narrator was probably the sheriff he just had a very deep soothing voice.

This is my introduction to Jeneva Rose and I can't wait to go back and read The Perfect Marriage. I had no trouble becoming immersed in this thriller but look forward to getting the dirt from the first one.
The twists and turns in the book kept me on my toes. The characters were quite despicable for the most part, although they were tempered by a few good ones, especially law enforcement.
The narrrati0n was terrific. The various characters were so convincing and so realistic.
The suspense was thick, and the story was bold. Great read!

Here’s a review you can use for The Perfect Divorce:

Review: The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose
Narrated by Mozhan Marnò, J.S. Arquin, Adam Lazarre-White, Brittany Pressley, Andi Arndt, and Andrew Eiden

If you thought The Perfect Marriage was a wild ride, buckle up—The Perfect Divorce somehow takes the chaos, twists, and jaw-dropping moments to a whole new level. This sequel delivers exactly what fans of domestic thrillers crave: high-stakes drama, morally gray characters, and plot twists that blow everything wide open just when you think you’ve figured it out.

Forget everything you think you know, because with each twist, the story resets in the best possible way. It’s relentless, shocking, and compulsively listenable. The pacing is tight, and the tension never lets up.

The full cast narration was fantastic. Each voice brought something unique to the story, and the performances really helped elevate the drama. Alex Morgan is a character you should dislike—she’s cold, calculating, and ruthless—but somehow you find yourself rooting for her. Her husband, on the other hand, made my skin crawl, and the narrator absolutely nailed that vibe. Every character, whether detestable or sympathetic, felt fully realized through the narration.

Jeneva Rose doesn’t hold back, and this book is so crazy in the best way. The twists are wild, the betrayals are brutal, and just when you think it can’t get any messier—it does.

If you’re a thriller fan and love a story filled with morally complex characters, domestic tension, and gasp-out-loud twists, The Perfect Divorce needs to be on your list. Just don’t expect a calm reading experience—you’ll be too busy devouring every chapter.

This is the second in a series and it would have been helpful had I read/listened to it, but I still got with it quickly. The story is filled with sick, twisted and truly unstable people from start to finish. Okay, except for Sara and Bob's daughter. There are some twists and turns along the way, but once you’re a bit into the book you know who is who, what they’re capable of and who will be the last one standing. Interesting dark listen.

Just as perfect as the first, this book was wonderful. The narration was also surprisingly good. I absolutely loved this part of Sarah Morgans story and how everything tied together. I also loved that there were things from the first book that brought this book together. Well done Jeneva, as always.

The Perfect Divorce reminded me a bit of My Lovely Wife....not the same type of book, but this cat and mouse game between a husband and wife.

For me, this was a light popcorn thriller, that possibly readers newer to thrillers would enjoy. I unfortunately found all the plot twists to be a bit predictable, but I did enjoy the cat and mouse games, it was just a bit drawn out....

I am keen to read the first book.

This was another audio ARC from a "new to me" author. As much as I really don't like coming into a series in the middle of it (this is the second book)- I read enough of the reviews for the first book that I felt like I had a pretty good idea on what happened prior to this book.

I'm going to try to get through this without spoilers, and that is hard because saying anything really, spoils the first book if you haven't read it. I will say this - the reviews that I read for book 1 were NOT good. There were many complaints about the writing style and the plot holes in the story. THIS book felt - in a way- like the author was coming back and trying to clear up some of the glaring holes in the storyline and add a bit of clarification surrounding the whole debacle.

This book takes place about 12 years after the initial events in book 1. Let me just say that there is NOT a question on WHO the killer was in book 1. It is clear and stated. We even get POV's from the people involved. Where I think this book may have done a better job was in the way it played off of the initial characters as they were all trying to one up the other. Things get crazy pretty quickly and it is obvious that someone is playing games - you just are not EXACTLY sure who it is. There was a level of suspense as things were happening and you were not really sure WHO was setting up WHO.

There are some crazy events that yes, the suspension of belief is a necessity - but in a thriller like this- that is often the case. Honestly, I came into this expecting not to like it, but I was pleasantly surprised. No- it was not the greatest book of all time and yes, I did figure out most of it before hand - but to be fair, I was surprised about a couple of things.

This is a very fast read/listen. You can get through the entire thing in one sitting, and it moves fast. The narration was done by a varied cast - Mozhan Navabi, Andrew Eiden, Adam Lazarre-White, J. S. Arquin, Brittany Pressley, and Andi Arndt. I listened to the entire book on audio and enjoyed the narration. I especially liked the portrayal of the character of Sarah Morgan - she did an exceptional job of embodying that character.

My only complaint, and the thing that left me with a bad taste in my mouth, was the ending. And again, I can not really say anything without spoiling it- but man, there is a character that I really, really despise and unfortunately, this was a situation where you really CAN get away with murder. Ugh.

Thank you to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing - Audiobooks for the opportunity to listen to and review this ARC. This book will be out for publication on April 15, 2025.

This sequel to The Perfect Marriage is fast-paced and has more twists than a pretzel. It's the perfect etch-a-sketch book - the vibes are high and it's best to go along for the ride and not think about it too much. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for an entertaining thriller, The Perfect Divorce is not a bad choice. It’s not Rose’s best, but it’s a fun listen on audiobook. Is it over-the-top? Yep. Is it cringey at times? Sure. Is it a little predictable? Of course. If you need a fast paced listen/read and you like the campy thriller genre, The Perfect Divorce should fit the bill. It’s not Rose’s is a sequel to The Perfect Marriage, which I did read. However, I don’t think reading the first book is mandatory for reading The Perfect Divorce. 3.5 stars

Absolutely NO ❌

The best thing about this was the narration, but even Adam Lazarre-White couldn’t save this dumpster fire.

This was a big book of nothingness. It was extremely boring and full of plot holes. And, it is pretty much the same plot of Perfect Marriage.

Sarah loved to call her soon to be ex-husband a narcissist and you’d think she’d recognize one when she was the biggest narc of all. Killing someone and pinning it on someone else to take the fall will NEVER be an enjoyable story story for me because it just hits too close to my Black roots.

The fact that this book has an avg rating over 4 stars baffles me, but then I remind myself that everyone has different tastes. And that’s ok…but I know that Jeneva has a huge social following and that has to play apart in the appeal. Likability goes a long way!

As for me, it was a complete waste of my time and of a FREE credit 😏

I absolutely adored this book & love Jeneva TO MY CORE! I’m rarely in the mood for a thriller but when I am, ms Queen comes out with a new book 👏

Whew. The Perfect Divorce is anything but peaceful. 😅
Jeneva Rose serves up another twisty, bingeable rollercoaster—this time with a deliciously messy mix of marriage, murder, and secrets. The story follows a high-profile divorce attorney who suddenly finds herself at the center of a case way too close to home. Spoiler: things go very sideways.
It’s fast-paced, full of drama, and has that signature Rose-style snark and suspense. I flew through it in two sittings because I had to know who was lying (spoiler again: maybe everyone??).
Would recommend to: fans of domestic thrillers, messy relationships, and legal drama with a twist you won’t shut up about.

I will admit it; I hated "The Perfect Marriage." Well, I kind of liked it until the ridiculous ending. The Perfect Divorce redeemed it for me! The full cast audiobook was engaging. The ending to this one was also a bit silly, but I was ready to hate it and I didn't.

This was SO GOOD. You do need to read the first book first - PERFECT MARRIAGE, as this picks up on Sarah's story immediately where the other left off - well sort of immediately. I am very hard on thrillers and absolutely loved this. Author's note suggests there will be a third book in the works and I can't wait to see what happens!

Twists, a smart FMC who is always one step ahead, morally grey characters, suspense, mystery, action -- it's truly the best thriller duology I've read this year.

This was a fantastic follow up to The Perfect Marriage. I loved being back in Sarah's crazy world. I loved the suspense of it all and how we as the reader were in the dark for some of this. Audiobook was well done and very entertaining.

The perfect divorce

Dark, Demented, Twisty, Turny, and Simply Unputdownable!

Years after defending her first husband Adam for murder, Sarah finds herself in another predicament, she discovers that her second husband Bob had a fling and that his mistress has gone missing.

To make matters even worse, Sarah finds evidence that Adam may be innocent of the crime for which he was convicted. Does the drama never end? Not in this mystery thriller by Jeneva Rose. Though I missed the first book in the series, I thoroughly enjoyed The Perfect Divorce and will definitely be reading The Perfect Marriage.

Huge thanks to NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing.

Thank you to Netgalley for the audio of this book. I am a big Jeneva Rose fan. I had read and devoured the Perfect Marriage. I actually wish I had reread it right before I read the Perfect Divorce. It would have jogged my memory on events that had taken place. This was a good book. As an audio, at times it was hard to keep track of the characters, although I did appreciate the different narrators. It would have been helpful to have the character's name listed on the chapter heading. Overall, a good solid read.

3.5 stars.

This is a twisty, reasonably fast-paced book with some shocks and lots of questions, trusting no one. If you enjoy books with unlikable characters doing very bad things to one another, and surprises along the way, this is for you. I hadn't read the first book but quickly got the gist of it early on, though I'm sure it would be best to go in order.
