A fun follow-up to The Perfect Marriage. We catch up with Sarah and her new husband, Bob. After discovering Bob cheated on her, Sarah immediately files for divorce. When his mistress goes missing, history may start repeating itself.
This was an entertaining popcorn thriller elevated even more by excellent narration. I flew through it and loved all the twists and turns.

Jeneva Rose delivers another fast-paced, twisty domestic thriller with The Perfect Divorce, and the audiobook format only enhances the experience. The narration is engaging and well-cast, with voice actors who bring each character to life and keep the tension building throughout.
The plot centers around a high-powered divorce attorney who finds herself tangled in a case that hits far too close to home. As secrets unravel and alliances shift, you're never quite sure who to trust—which is classic Jeneva Rose. The pacing is tight, and the story keeps you hooked with short chapters and cliffhangers that make it nearly impossible to press pause.
What stands out most is the way the story plays with perception, loyalty, and power dynamics in relationships. If you’re into domestic suspense with morally gray characters and unexpected turns, this one’s for you.
While I personally felt the first book in this series was stronger, The Perfect Divorce still delivers a gripping and satisfying sequel.
Overall, it’s a compelling follow-up that keeps the story moving in an intriguing direction. If you enjoyed the first book, this one is definitely worth the listen.

The Perfect Divorce is an incredible read that brings back memorable characters. Jeneva Rose is a master. The narration was perfect.

Sarah Morgan is an attorney, who happened to have a high profile client: her husband. She defended Adam after he was accused of offing his mistress. Years later, Sarah is remarried to Bob when she discovers he had an affair and the new mistress ends up missing. She wastes no time filing for divorce. At the same time, the old case against Adam and that mistress is reopened.
Twists and turns like you wouldn’t believe! The Perfect Marriage was one of my favorites, and this sequel was too! Fast paced, easy read thriller. Thanks Net Galley, Blackstone Publishing, and Jeneva Rose for the ARC! Pub date today 4/15/25!

I read THE PERFECT MARRIAGE in my early bookstagram days when I was getting back into reading, and I absolutely loved it. I was thrilled to see Jeneva was writing a sequel!
THE PERFECT DIVORCE is a fast-paced, twisty thriller with a heavy dose of revenge.
The audiobook was fantastic! A full-cast for the many alternating POVs 🙌 it was easy to keep track of the characters, and the multiple narrators helped bring the story to life.
There are so many unlikable characters, but it didn’t bother me with this story. I was intrigued by the mystery and couldn’t wait to see how it was all going to play out.
This story will keep you on your toes with all of the action. While it’s a bit wild at times, it didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the story. And it all pays off with the ending!
It’s been years since I read book one, but this sequel immediately brought me back into the world of these characters. Jeneva did a good job giving a little bit of the backstory from book one, but I highly recommend reading these in order to better understand all of the pieces at play!

📚 Review: The Perfect Divorce 🔪🩸
Happy Pub Day to this brilliant sequel!!
If you are a fan of The Perfect Marriage, like I am, I think you will love this one too. Really! All the reasons that made me love the first one so much, were there for me to love all over again in the second one. It was addictive, fast paced and kept me guessing the whole time. I really didn’t know who was playing who the whole time. It was crazy! I listened to this for
5 1/2 hours straight to finish this. LOVED the ending! I’m not going to say anything about it other than it is out TODAY!! Go get it!
I DO recommend, you read the first one before you read this one though. I feel like you definitely need to know the back story of the characters to understand things better. It has been years now since I’ve read The Perfect Marriage. And I even wish I had re read the first one again before I read this one. I definitely could’ve used a refresher. But this was awesome! I listened to this one and the narrators did a great job! Shout out to @britpressley 👏🏻 Thank you to @netgalley and @blackstonepublishing for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. This was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5 stars for me! Loved it! Really addictive!🔪🩸
Pub Day: Today!!
Have you read either The Perfect Marriage or The Perfect Divorce yet? What are your thoughts?

📖 Bookish Thoughts
This audiobook started off super strong and ended in total chaos—and I was into it. The multiple narrators were great and made each character feel way more real.
Bob? Hated him from the beginning. He just felt off—so smug and arrogant! I couldn’t stand him.
Sarah was mostly likable! I really liked the detective though—felt steady and solid.
I had a pretty good idea where things were headed, but I still enjoyed how it all wrapped up. It did slow down a bit around the 3/4 mark, but overall, I enjoyed this book!
💭 Final Thoughts
Not the twistiest thriller out there, but the emotional tension and messy characters kept me hooked. I’d definitely listen to more from this author.

Whew. The Perfect Divorce is everything I want in a domestic thriller—fast-paced, messy, and full of characters you kind of love to hate (but can’t stop reading about). I didn't think Rose could top the first book in this series, but she definitely did. Hot damn, girl, how do you do it?
We’re back with Sarah Morgan, eleven years after The Perfect Marriage, and she's even better (worse?) than before. She’s fierce, successful, and absolutely done putting up with any man’s BS. But of course, just when she tries to start fresh—bam! A cheating husband, a reopened murder case, and suddenly she’s in the middle of a scandal again. And the best part? You never really know who to trust.
The twists hit hard. Sarah Morgan (and by extension Jeneva Rose) is terrifying and amazing. I tore through this in two sittings. It was that good.
Buckle up, y'all. Five stars, easy.

Sarah is the character you hate to love and love to hate. Confusing, right? This was another twisted tale of a marriage full of lies and deceit, and dare I say murder? I’ve got to say Sarah is just as manipulative and conniving as she was in The Perfect Marriage.
It did get a little bit repetitive for me at times, but it was still everything I had hoped for. I received the audio from @blackstonepublishing and the narration was done perfectly - I flew through this in two sittings. If you enjoyed the first one, I do think the second was a little bit better though I really enjoyed both. Thanks to the publisher for my advanced audiobook! The Perfect Divorce publishes tomorrow!

I am a sucker for a full cast audio!! If this is on your TBR, I recommend listening. I don’t really remember the first book; if I did, I bet reading this would have been even better. I do know this sequel is better though. Messssyyy and fun. 👏🏽

wow, just wow. Jeneva is def my auto buy author. i love everything about jeneva and all of her books. i definitely did not expect TPD to go the way it went. like i knew Sarah Morgan was a bad b*tch but i did not expect her to be themed BADDEST😂 this book was amazing, it was everything i wanted and more. was definitely worth the wait for the release!
spoiler- i cannot believe she was so diabolical to name their daughter after Kelly Summers💀
That’s all, must read per usual.

Read Completed 4/5/25 | 3 stars | Book #47 of 2025
This was just okay! I wasn't the *biggest* fan of the first book, THE PERFECT MARRIAGE, giving it 3.5 stars, but THE PERFECT DIVORCE didn't really do it for me. It was... fine! I don't think I'd go recommending it unless you were already a big fan of the first one. If you were middle-of-the-road, I don't know that this would really go better for you.
My biggest issue was that this felt forced. With everything that happened, I didn't really see Sarah being married and having a child with another man (I guess Bob was a part of the first book but didn't really remember much besides the two main characters)... I guess aside from pretending she's living a normal life? My other big issue is that I don't like overly confident characters. Sarah was SO smart, she was SO clever, she was SO perfect. No one could ever outsmart her. Maybe she's a narcissist, I guess, but it's a little boring. We get the big reveal after everything, showing how smart she was but I really like a little tension and suspense and since we DO have her POV in this book, I would rather see a character that was a little uncertain and had some extra paranoia in there, but I guess that was Bob's job. It made her a little too super-villain and it wasn't my favorite. BUT that's just my personal taste. I don't fault the author for it because clearly people love it and it's her character -- that's just who she is.
The writing style was intriguing enough to continue through the whole book and still be entertained. I also appreciated the audiobook with a full cast for each POV. Some of the narrators were not good (what was Bob's character's voice sometimes 😅) but I do really like the full cast and it's great for production value to hear different voices!
If you're a fan of the first, I'd probably say go for it, but I think you have to love Jeneva Rose to appreciate this one. If THE PERFECT MARRIAGE wasn't for you, I don't think you'll find anything different here.

Not much a thriller/mystery person usually but The Perfect Marriage was one of the books that really got me into reading again when it first came out so I knew I HAD to read the second one! It's like you kind of know how its going to end because of the first book but you don't know HOW it's going to get there and the whole book really leaves you wondering WILL it end up similarly. I really enjoyed all of the twists and turns along with the different POVS.
I love that there was a different voice actor for each POV too! I know that can be hard to do but this one was well done and each narrator did a great job. Overall I really enjoyed this audio!
Thank you NetGalley, Jeneva Rose, and Blackstone Publishing for gifting me a copy of this ALC in exchange for an honest review.

This audiobook is awesome! I really enjoy narrations with a full cast—it totally helps to keep track of all the different points of view. Sarah is such a genius, always ahead of the game, even when you think she’s not. I’m all for a strong female main character who doesn’t take any nonsense. Overall, this was a solid thriller!

Book Review: The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars)
The Perfect Divorce is a twisty, gripping sequel to The Perfect Marriage—and it absolutely delivered! From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The plot kept me guessing, the pacing was on point, and I loved how it tied up so many of the loose ends from the first book. It was one of those audiobooks I just couldn’t stop listening to! The narrator was amazing!!!
Huge thanks to Blackstone Publishing and Jeneva Rose for the early audiobook ARC. The Perfect Divorce hits shelves on April 15th and if you’re a fan of domestic thrillers, you won’t want to miss it!

I genuinely do not know how Jeneva does it, but somehow she’s topped herself yet again with The Perfect Divorce. I literally couldn’t put this book down, I cannot count the amount of times I just sat with my jaw on the floor! So elaborate, so intricate, so diabolical. Her best work yet!

What if you feel like your wife set up her ex-husband to take a fall for his mistress' death. Could she really be that horrible. Now she is remarried with your child and she wants a divorce. Your mistress has disappeared and the police are asking you questions. Bob doesn't know where to turn for help as his wife sets out to rune him. Sarah Morgan, our lawyer in The Perfect Marriage, is now back and just as devious as before.
As this one unfolds, you really do not know what is happening and it twists so many times that it is sometimes hard to keep up. This one keeps you guessing and with so many side stories that need to be told, it just keeps you going. I was given the audiobook and the narrators are awesome. So worth the read.
Thank you #NetGalley and Blackstone Publishing for this incredible ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3.75🌟 (rounded up)
First off, shoutout to the adorable dedication! ☺️
Sarah Morgan is back, and she is not here to play. Strong, sassy, and seriously over Bob. (Ugh, Bob.)
Let’s talk about the vibe: If The Perfect Marriage was your kind of fun, you’re going to feel right at home with the sequel. It’s juicy, dramatic, and a thriller… but with a slightly playful energy. This isn’t your typical dark thriller. It felt more like a thriller sipping a Lemon Drop martini while giving you a side-eye.
Sarah’s narration had me thinking of Jeneva herself, no lie. I think it fit her perfectly.
Is it far-fetched? Probably. Did I care? Nope. Quick listen, never boring, and full of fun curveballs. Just don’t skip book one, this is not a standalone.
Read it if you love:
- Sassy, unbothered main characters
- Multiple POVs
- Twist-filled drama that doesn’t take itself too seriously
- A little messy fun
Not for you if:
- You need super realistic thrillers
- You didn’t enjoy book one
- Your name is Scott
My verdict? If you’re already a Jeneva Rose fan, this will likely hit the mark. If you didn’t vibe with book one, you might want to sit this one out.
It’s a yes for me! 🖤

When I saw there was a sequel to The Perfect Marriage I had to see how it was going to go!
I listened to the #audiobook and I thoroughly enjoyed the narration. It made the book so much more enjoyable, especially the narration of Detective Hudson.
It’s been 11 years since Sarah Morgan defended her husband, Adam in his murder trial. Sarah has long since moved on. She started a new family with her new husband, Bob Miller. She changed careers and her life has been exactly as she’s wanted it to be. Unfortunately, she discovered her new husband was unfaithful. She wasted no time filing for divorce.
In the middle of their ugly separation some new DNA evidence in her first husband’s murder investigation comes to light. It puts Sarah right back in the spotlight. Everyone wants to know what really happened. Especially former deputy Marcus Hudson. He is hell-bent on finding the truth.
Unfortunately, the mistress that Bob had slept with goes missing so things between Sarah and Bob get messy as they start fighting dirty. A cruel game of cat and mouse starts… Will it be the perfect divorce or til death do us part… again.
🔫 Alongside of loving the narration, I appreciated the fast pace of this book. It starts with a bang and just gets crazy. There’s a ton of twists and a lot of pieces you have to put together to figure out the ending. It is a little predictable but I kinda think it was done on purpose to distract from the real twist you don’t see coming. I freaking hate Sarah so much so the ending wasn’t my favorite😑

A dark and dramatic depiction of betrayal and revenge. This is the sequel to 'The Perfect Marriage' and wow this kept me guessing.
The audiobook has several fantastic narrators, including Mozahn Navabi, J.S. Arquin, Adam Lazarre-White, Brittany Pressley, Andi Arndt, and Andrew Eiden. The audiobook is very well done and if you enjoy a well-produced audiobook, with an unhinged storyline, then definitely give this one a listen!
With thanks to Blackstone Publishing and NetGalley for the audio listening copy, in exchange for a review.
I am keen to read what Jeneva Rose creates next!
