This was a great sequel. I really enjoyed the story. I didn’t see the plot twist coming but it was a great one. Wishing for a continuation to the story.

The Perfect Divorce will be enjoyed by many readers. It is fast-paced, has twists and turns, and showcases humanity at their worst. However, this is a Jeneva Rose novel, which means it's easy, if you've read her other books, to know exactly what's coming. This novel felt a little like Rose was phoning it in.

The Perfect Divorce is a great suspense read. It kept me hooked from the begining. I learned about Jeneva from her IG Reels about sneaking into bookstores and loved her vibed. So I started reading her books and I am so glad I did. This is a sequel so be sure to read the perfect marriage before picking this one up. This has a mutlicast with some of my faves! The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is an absolute triumph. If you thought The Perfect Marriage was gripping, just wait until you dive into this one. Jeneva takes everything that made the first book so good — the suspense, the layered characters, the emotional twists — and somehow turns the dial up even higher. I would easily give this audiobook a full 5 out of 5 stars without hesitation.

The narration in this audiobook is outstanding. Each character’s voice fits so perfectly with their background and personality that it’s easy to forget you’re listening to actors. The performances really bring the story to life in a way that pulls you deeper into the chaos and tension. It’s rare to find an audiobook where the voices not only sound right, but actually add to the psychological depth of the characters.

As for the story itself — it’s twisted in all the best ways. Just when I thought I had figured it out, another turn completely blindsided me. The pacing is fast, the tension is high, and every chapter left me wanting more. It’s the kind of story that keeps you up late, telling yourself “just one more chapter” until suddenly it’s 2 a.m.

I’m incredibly excited to see what Jeneva Rose writes next. Her talent for building suspense and creating complex, believable characters is truly something special. The flow of the story worked well. Lots of perspectives so really had to pay attention although one twist I figured out early on. The main characters are very unlikable but kept going because of the plot.

I was definitely hesitant going into this novel. I really loved The Perfect Marriage and I wasn’t quite sure we needed another installment but I was pleasantly surprised. Jeneva is a master at her craft, this story line kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I think it was a fun ride because I didn’t trust a single person in this installment, yet she still blindsided me!!!

When I first read Jeneva Rose's debut novel The Perfect Marriage I was absolutely blown away. It had so many thrilling, twisty, "what the heck" moments that I was worried The Perfect Divorce wouldn't be able to live up to it's predecessor. I'm glad to say that it did! Jeneva is back with her scheming, manipulative characters.
The story continues over a decade later. Sarah Morgan and Bob Miller have a daughter and successful careers. Sarah's former husband, Adam, was sentenced to death for the murder of his mistress. Things start to take a turn when Sarah finds out that Bob has also cheated on her. Not only that, but new evidence has come up that could exonerate Adam and expose the truth of what she and Bob worked so hard to hide.
Jeneva is an excellent story teller and really pulls you in with her genius imagination and twisty, wicked plots. I loved and hated these characters in the best way. I never knew who's side I wanted to be on. Everyone has their evil sides and wants to make others pay for being wronged. This was an excellent sequel!

I loved The Perfect Marriage and was excited to jump into this. The Perfect Divorce picks up years later, Sarah now has a daughter with Bob, who she is actively divorcing after finding out he had a one night stand and cheated on her.

Soon after, Stacey (the one night stand) goes missing and Bob is being questioned by the police as he starts to wonder if Sarah is playing games and framing him.

Another POV is from the new sheriff, trying to clean up a mess on the Summer’s case when DNA from a police office is matched to the third unknown DNA from the from book 1. The public is starting to question if Adam really was innocent wrongfully received the death sentence. The sloppy police job doesn’t help, and the new detective is under pressure to get to the bottom of it.

This was fast paced, engaging and I loved seeing more of these characters in this cat and mouse game ! Narration was excellent and expressive !

The Perfect Divorce is a phenomenal read! The twists & turns in this one had me wanting to stay up way past my bedtime! Jeneva Rose is such a fantastic writer.

I read book 1 back in 2022, and jumping into this 3yrs later, i didn't remember anyone or what it was about *ep* and that is where the first flaw (and maybe only flaw) of this book shows up. i feel like it doesn't do the best job of reminding the reader of what happened in book 1. it does drop some pieces of bread for you, but i honestly just had a hard time remembering and felt like there could have been a better way for the book to remind you of the past.

Narrator lineup? Chef’s kiss. This full-cast production adds just the right level of drama and dread to a story that’s already dripping with tension. Twisty, bingeable, and wickedly fun—the kind of thriller that makes you want to fold laundry just so you can keep listening. Jeneva Rose once again proves she knows how to hook you and never let go. Highly recommend the audio for max unhinged vibes.

This was the perfect sequel that picked up perfectly from the first novel. Sarah Morgan is a badass and I still want to be her when I grow up! This novel ends beautifully but leaves it open for a 3rd (wishful thinking?)! The narration on the audiobook is fantastic, highly recommend! 5 stars!

This author never disappoints. Sarah is an attorney that represented her husband in an alleged murder of his mistress in their home. Her husband has since been put to death. Remarried and with the murderer still potentially at large almost a decade later - this story takes you for a wild ride. Who can you trust? There was some obvious foreshadowing but still fun. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is a fast-paced domestic thriller that delivers another page-turner that keeps you second-guessing right up to the last chapter. If you read The Perfect Marriage, you are familiar with the high-powered divorce attorney who prides herself on winning — until her own marriage begins to unravel. The tension between her professional success and personal downfall creates an engaging duality. As always, Rose nails the character voice — especially the protagonist, who is smart, a little snarky, and deeply flawed. If you're into legal dramas with a psychological twist, this one hits the mark.

I requested this ARC in audio format because it is read by multiple narrators, and for the most part they did an excellent job voicing all the different POVs. The one who narrated Bob's POV was a little grating, in part because Bob was an annoying, whiny, little snot of a man, but also because he seemed to be angry all the time and much of his dialogue involved yelling which was literally painful to listen to. As far as the storyline goes, it was over-the-top dramatic, and although fairly predictable, it was fast-paced and entertaining.

Well hot dang!!! The sequel outdoes "The Perfect Marriage".

Twisty, dramatic, and gloriously unhinged, it delivers razor-sharp dialogue, petty revenge, and jaw-dropping reveals that had me gasping more than once. Sarah is smarter and meaner, and Bob? He never stood a chance. Over-the-top? Definitely. Addictive? Completely. It’s a wild ride of courtroom games, murder, and dark humor that I couldn’t put down. Bring on book three—I need more.

Fantastic book that keeps us guessing until the very end. Jeneva Rose never shows her hand, but I couldn't figure out the resolution until about the last 10 minutes of the book. The pacing was great as well, with the events moving very quickly. I'm looking forward to her next book!
