The Chicago 4 Paris felt intriguing and captured my attention then as I read more chapters I got bored at parts.
The writing was fine but could've been improved. The MC felt underwhelming and the romance felt slightly underdeveloped . The spicy scenes were good but there was a lot unfinished by the end.

I was excited to read this book. The cover, the blurb it all pulled me in. Unfortunately nothing kept me in. It took me a while to finish this book because I kept finding other things to do. This is one that missed the mark by a lot.

It was okay I just couldn’t get into the book . It kept losing my focus I tried so hard to finish it

At first, The Chicago 4 Paris felt interesting and captivating, but as the chapters went on, I found myself losing interest. The pacing was very fast, some moments gave me the ick, and overall things started to feel a bit bland.
The writing was okay but could’ve been improved. The characters felt underdeveloped, and the romance leaned more into insta-attraction when I was hoping for a slow-burn with real angst. Plus, there were just too many characters and narratives—some of it felt overwhelming and a lot was left unexplained or unresolved.
That said, I did enjoy the blend of:
❤️ Romance
🔫 Suspense & Action
👨👩👧👦 Family Drama
🔥 Hot Men & Spicy Scenes
I’m still curious enough to check out the second book if it's going to be there—because I need to know what happens next!

"It was all for the best. I've got my love in my arms. I'm just hoping you love me as much as I love you. Then again, it doesn't matter 'cause I love you enough for both of us."

"My gypsy boy returned to lay claim to my soul. I love you."

I really wanted to love this book—the premise intrigued me, and I was excited to dive in. Not to mention, the cover is absolutely gorgeous! It’s a shame the inside didn’t captivate me the same way the outside did.
But despite multiple attempts, I just couldn’t connect with it. Whether it was the pacing, the writing style, or the characters, something always held me at arm’s length. Each time I picked it up, I found my attention drifting, and forcing myself to continue only made the experience feel like a chore. And i dislike chores.
For now this is a DNF and how i wish it wasn't.
I'll have to set this one for another time. Afterall i am known as a moody reader. maybe the mood today is rather gloomy.
