I enjoyed this book as I have all of Jennifer E. Smith's other books. I read everything she writes, and while I wouldn't say her books are life-changing, they are always sweet, fun reads. I think she's great at coming up with fun story concepts, and in this book, the twelve-hour time frame worked great. If you're a fan of fast, fun, teen romance, you will probably like this book.

Unfortunately this book has gone in my DNF pile. It just wasn't engaging me like it would have years ago when I first requested it. My reading tastes have changed a lot over the years as I've gotten older and unfortunately some of the books requested years ago have been affected by my reading tastes and the fact that a lot of books for younger audiences haven't been grasping my attention as of late. I thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book is set in the span of 1 day. Just 1 day but so much can change and happen in one day.

Clare and Aidan have been together for all of high school but now they just graduated.

They are about to go to college on the opposite side of the country so what's a couple to do? Stick together and eventually break up or find a way to stick it out?

Read this book to find out what happens, it is a fun read!

Now when I requested this book, it archived before I could get a chance to read the arc. Though I did get my hands on a copy from my library and loved this book so much that I didn't want to give it back! Anyway, the writing is such perfection, but that's something I always say for Jennifer E. Smith book, she has this way with words that just pulls you right into the story with the amazing characters themselves. I couldn't get enough of it! Probably one of my favorites of her books.

I was easily able to read this in one setting, as it is compulsively readable, and the writing style flows beautifully. The love story was one I could relate to in many ways, and I was rooting for them the whole time. Smith's books are known for their adorablility, and this was no exception.

I can see the appeal to this book. We've got this couple very much in high school love but on the precipice of a pretty significant life change. They explore both their history and their future. The cast of characters is well designed an fleshed out. They're reasonably complex and realistic. And there is no fairly tale element. Their breakup is realistic and necessary. The open ending will satisfy both romantics and realists.
