Wow, what an intense ride! This dark medical romance is full of gripping moments, complex characters, and plenty of emotional twists. The author really knows how to pull you into the story, making you feel everything alongside the characters. It’s definitely not a light read, but if you’re into edgy, emotionally charged stories with a mix of romance and darker themes, this one will keep you hooked from start to finish. Some of the intense scenes felt a bit overwhelming, and the pacing could have been a little tighter in certain parts. But honestly, the raw emotion and the intriguing plot made up for it. Overall, it’s a compelling, dark read that’s perfect for anyone looking for something provocative and emotionally intense. Definitely recommend if you’re into dark romance with lots of depth!

I really enjoyed Deeply Examined. It was full of romance, mystery, drama, secrets, and emotion.

I was hooked immediately, I just couldn't put it down. The first chapter started off with a bang, and it just kept getting better. The spice was next level, so definitely not for the faint-hearted.
The chemistry between Jessica and Adam was sizzling. Also, while the spicy scenes were plentiful and pretty heavily detailed (I'm not complaining), the story also had emotional depth and substance.

This is the first book I've read from Lexi, and it definitely won't be the last. I'm excited to read the next installment in this series.

Especially for fans of Helen Hardt, Penelope Douglas, and J.T. Geissinger.

I highly recommend.

4 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to Netgalley, Victory Editing, and Lexi Davis for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Who doesn’t love a spicy story? I really enjoyed this one, and some parts definitely had me questioning my morals. 😭

Jessica goes for her annual health exam, and in walks Dr. Adam West, stunning her immediately. Unbeknownst to her, Dr. West has a history with her; they met back in high school, and he had a major crush on her that he still hasn’t gotten over.

This was my first dark medical romance, and the doctor-patient dynamic was well executed. I especially love a romance between a morally grey man and an innocent sweetheart.

I loved this Dark Spicy read.
Adam used to watch Jessica from the shadows of their highschool. She was one of the popular girls and he was nerdy and used to get bullied. Fast forward he is now a dr and finds Jessica in his office as one of his patients. This was a dark spicy stalker read. I can't wait for more in this series! I just finished it and placed an order for the paper back!

Deeply Examined by Lexi Davis promised a thrilling dark medical romance but fell short with its meandering narrative. The story, centered on Jessica and Dr. Adam West, often lost focus, with excessive tangents diluting the tension and chemistry that initially hooked me. While the premise of forbidden desire and a possessive anti-hero intrigued, the pacing dragged, and the plot felt cluttered with unresolved threads, leaving me frustrated rather than captivated. Despite some spicy moments, the lack of narrative cohesion made it a disappointing read. 2.5/5 stars.

Oooh, I liked this one!
Ms Davis portrays a story of an obsessive man with some very interesting and never-before-seen kinks. That's why I couldn't put it down, and the pages just flew by!
It's a forbidden spicy medical romance that will leave you breathless, but beware, it is kinky to the max!
4 stars.

I would give one star for this book! I always enjoy reading dark romance when I saw this book tropes omg that's intresting. Ik dark romance has many questionable things but there should be a continuity on next chapter which I find it difficult. Being medical student something didn't settle well with me after reading this book!

Wow 😍 I loved this spicy little gem! If you're a fan of 50 Shades of Grey and Grey's Anatomy, this book will feel like the perfect crossover episode you never knew you needed 🩺🔥

It’s a short read, super bingeable, and packed with SPICE — yes, I said spice, and let me say it again: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ there’s a lot of it. So consider this your warning (or invitation 😉).

The main character — our Doctor 😏 — totally gives off Christian Grey vibes, but in a scrubs-and-stethoscope kinda way. Think: confident, intense, knows what he wants... and knows exactly how to deliver 😳

What surprised me most? A new kink I didn’t see coming… and ended up really enjoying 😅 #help

Exactly what I needed after reading something super heavy — this was:

✅ Light
✅ Fun
✅ Spicy
✅ Fast-paced
✅ Low drama

Just pure escapism at its best 💕✨

10/10 would recommend if you're in the mood for something hot, quick, and addictive.
Did I mention the spice?
Because... SPICE. IS. EVERYWHERE. 🔥😈

Thanks to #NetGalley for the read! Jaw dropping steamy scenes from jump, pushing the limits of taboo. A morally grey (wink) male lead and his obsession for a damsel in distress made this a binge read. I would love more! Including the awesome playlist.

This book is exactly as it says- a dark medical romance, and that was exactly what was delivered! I enjoyed reading about their story and am glad it ended with a hea.
Thank you NetGalley and Lexi Davis for the opportunity to review this ARC!

Looking for a romance that’s equal parts steamy, emotional, and a little unhinged? This book delivers. From the moment Jessica walks into a routine health check and comes face-to-face with the devastatingly attractive Dr. West, things spiral fast. She’s flustered, awkward, and totally thrown — and for good reason. He’s hot. He’s charming. And he definitely knows something she doesn’t. Turns out their lives crossed paths years ago… she just doesn’t remember. But he does. Vividly.

I want to add a heads-up here: definitely check the trigger warnings before diving in. There are moments that could be heavy for some readers, especially around trauma, obsession, and emotional manipulation. At times, I honestly questioned Dr. West’s sanity — he walks a fine line between passionate and downright unhinged. But somehow, it worked. His vulnerability, his struggles with childhood trauma, and his awkward attempts at being a functional adult trying to love someone made him a compelling, if intense, character.

The story is well-paced, the writing is smooth, and the chemistry between the leads crackles. I flew through it and would absolutely read more from this author.

This is a hot AND taboo read! If you love 50 Shades of Grey and Grey's Anatomy, then this should be up your alley as it is a mix of both! It was a very spicy and dark adventure. As always, check the trigger warnings before reading! I overall really loved this book and was definitely sad when it was over.

⭐️⭐️ 2/5 Stars

Overall: 🥀

This felt like reading the first draft of a porno script.
This book really needed an editor to cut lines like, "Oh,er" and "Hmmm." This book was over 200ish pages. It could have been shorter.

Female Main Character:🪦

She had the power to accurately guess other woman's bra sizes as well as see muscles under lab coats. Felt like a highschooler.

Male Main Character: 🪦

Came off as a teen girl. Did not feel like a man.

"There's only one thing I am interested in tonight, and it is not your mom's spaghetti."

Who should read this:

People with medical kinks

Captivating story!!! Definitely another hit by this amazing offer. The ending did feel a bit abrupt and I wish we got to see more of a happily ever after. I do recommend 100% though.

"I come alive when he's with me, like I've been living underwater, drowning, the entire time we’re apart, and now I can finally breathe."

This book was intense, steamy af, and had a lotttttt of tension. It also starts off really strong in the spice department and I am not complaining one bit.
There's just something so sexy about Dr. West. I would gladly volunteer to participate in his ""lair"" no questions asked!!!!
This book hooked me from the start and I just could not put it down. I actually really loved the dynamic between Jessica and Adam. It felt so raw and emotional and the growth these two go through by the end was chef's kiss. The way Adam teaches Jessica to be more assertive and confident + the way Jessica helps Adam through his childhood trauma and his vulnerability. My friggen heart.
I'm all for my morally grey men and Dr. West brings all the unhinged obsession and possessiveness in this book!!

• Forced Proximity
• Doctor x Patient
• Man Obsessed
• Dual POV

Spice level: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.💫

Deeply Examined is the spicy, spicy, spicy dark medical romance of Adam and Jessica. This is a bit different to what I usually read but I still enjoyed it. I liked how protective Adam is of Jessica but he did go a bit overkill with it sometimes. I liked how open hearted Jessica was and that she stood up for herself to Adam when she needed to. I will definitely be taking a look at Lexi Davis’ backlist as this was a nice introduction to her books.
