An absolute gem! Diamond!!! Infinity stars!!! The chemistry between Brooks and Siena is electric, making every page sizzle with tension and emotion. Wilde's writing is both emotional and witty, effortlessly blending humor with heartfelt moments. This book is a perfect escape and undoubtedly a top contender for my favorite read of the year!
Brooks Attwood, a former NFL star, is not just a handsome face; he’s a deeply layered character grappling with his past and striving for redemption. His journey back to the field is both inspiring and relatable. Siena Pippen is a fierce and independent woman, navigating her own struggles while trying to support her family. Her character resonates with anyone who has faced loss and the pressure of expectations. The fake dating trope is executed flawlessly, with Brooks and Siena's initial animosity transforming into a genuine connection. Their banter is sharp and entertaining, keeping readers hooked from start to finish. The story tackles themes of trauma, healing, and the importance of communication in relationships, adding depth to the romance. Wilde masterfully balances lighthearted moments with emotional revelations, making readers laugh one moment and tear up the next. The character development is profound, showcasing how love can help heal past wounds. The supporting characters add richness to the narrative, enhancing the overall experience and setting the stage for future stories in the series.
A delightful blend of humor, heart, and heat. It’s a must-read for fans of sports romance and anyone looking for a story that celebrates love in all its complexities. This book is sure to leave a lasting impression and is definitely a favorite for the year!

You know, I thought, Zac Porter is it, he is top tier, can’t go above that… then you give me a tortured man with tattoos and Im a goner!!!!
Brooks, my love, you have taken my heart!
Ellie you keep writing my husbands! Lol
This story follows Brooks and Siena.
Brooks is a tattooed football hottie!
He was coaching along side Zac after he was injured in the NFL and left.
But now Brooks is ready to be out on the field again with his old team!
His old team doesn’t want him back because of the reputation he got when he left the NFL, hooking up with a different girl in the alley every night….
His agent tells him he needs to SHOW that he is different.
Siena is a WILD CHILD, does crazy random things, like sneaking onto a private, closed football field while the trainers and football players are training…
The same football field that Brooks just so happens to be training on.
They have their “meet-cute” and hit it off… But past relationships clouds his judgment and when Siena accidentally posts a picture of the two of them that goes viral he thinks she is using him.
Now that everyone thinks they are a couple its the perfect plan to win over Brooks old team, by FAKE DATING Siena so they see how serous he is…
She needs the money that will come with brand deals she will get by fake dating Brooks so she agrees but they do not trust each other.
And so it begins!
I absolutely love both Brooks and Siena!
The vulnerability they show to each other is so beautiful!
They both need validation of being wanted that they both show to each other.
I love their banter!
This book had me CRYING and my heart breaking!
It was beautiful
Yallll the SPICE!!!
The things this man did!!!! Like girl you know how to write a man who listens and is a “if he wanted to he would 10x!
This serious has made it to my favorite because I LOVEEEE it!!

This is giving meet cute, early 2000s rom-com, fake dating energy and I am HERE for it.
I loved Siera and Brooks relationship from the get go! When I wasn't reading the book, I was thinking about reading it. That's how you know it's a good one!

Entertaining, fake dating sports romance. Brooks Attwood’s time as a pro football player may be coming to an end. He has been out two years recovering from an injury but is giving it all for his last chance to come back. His plans are upset when naughty photos are leaked. He needs a relationship to calm down the negative press. Siena Pippin’s ex was the face of the NFL. And she wants nothing to do with that world again. But dating Brook’s could be good for her parents' business. And she would do anything for her parents.
Brooks and Siena are great together. They banter, exchange filthy talk and get to know each other intimately. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the story and their chemistry. This is the first book I’ve read from the author but it is the second in Oakwood Bay series. The MC’s in that one make appearances in this book but I read it easily as a stand alone.

From the moment Brooks Attwood accidentally hit into Siena, I was hooked. I loved him in the first book as a fake boyfriend and loved him again as another fake boyfriend since he is just such a gentle lover boy. Siena’s no-nonsense attitude mixes so well with Brooks’s cinnamon-roll sweetness. I don’t even know if I would consider it fake dating since they both loved it a lot from the start but their banter had me staying up late to read more. Brooks is the kind of hero you root for, who’s not just strong on the outside but unafraid to show vulnerability which makes him a huge green flag. Highly recommend and can’t wait for the next book!!

I really enjoyed this one! Football meets fake dating with INCREDIBLE banter and spice - this was such a perfect read to get me out of my reading slump.
Brooks is the golden retriever football player which was such a fun contrast to Siena’s sassy and fiesty character. The two of them had incredible banter from their first meet cute and I loved how their meet hate lead to the most perfect love story.
The banter between Brooks and Siena had me CACKLING for so many parts it was such a fun time! Not only was there A+ banter, we also had some A+ spice because OH MYYYYY GOSH!!!! Brooks took me by complete surprise and I was totally here for it.
I highly recommend this book for any small town, football romance lovers! This book was a long time coming but the wait was totally worth it!!!
Small town
Football romance
Fake dating
One bed
A+ banter
Mirror scene

I loved this one. The banter between the main characters was playful and spicy in the best ways. The meddling from all the characters in the first book and the best friend was so funny. Parker may seem unorthodox but he is a master in the art of meddling.
I think this one had everything I was missing in the first book and I’m so glad I took the chance on this one.
I had a really good time during this book and am excited to see what comes next.

If you’re looking for a spicy romance full of banter, heart, and found family- I’d recommend this one. While it can be read as a standalone, you get more background on characters if you read book one first. I enjoyed Brooks in book one and I loved him in this book. Siena was such a strong and independent FMC, who isn’t used to relying on anyone. Enter one of my favorite tropes— fake dating. We get lots of forced proximity. And with that we get all the banter and tension between these two. It’s harder for them to resist the attraction once they start getting to know each other. Yes, it was plenty spicy and had banter galore. But there were also soft moments and emotional scenes that really caught me off guard. I had such a great time with this one and I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
Thank you to Atria for the arc!

4.5 stars. I DEVOURED this book. I could not put it down. I was giggling, blushing and kicking my feet throughout this entire book. The tension and banter between Brooks and Siena was top tier and I am obsessed with them now

♾️/⭐️ 3/5🌶️
This book had me laughing, crying, kicking & screaming. Ellie did it again! This book was better than book one. I couldn't wait to finish the book and at the same time, I didn't want it to end! Brooks Atwood is the poster boy for cinnamon roll book boyfriend. This book starts with Siena & Brooks and an unusual meet-cute that turns into an upheaval of both their lives. This book was full of lighthearted, & emotional moments as both characters adjust to a fake dating scheme brought on by an accidental social media post. While Brooks is trying to get his career back after a devastating injury, Siena is struggling with her own demons. These two were brought to life by Ellie with great banter, sass and emotion. No 3rd act breakup and a HEA! I really hope book3 is Parker! Thank you NetGalley & Ellie for an ARC copy of this book.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you like Tessa Bailey, you're going to like Ellie K Wilde. Brooks and Siena are HOT and so adorable I cannot. I loved the mature conversations, the banter, the YEARNING, all of it was fantastic. I want to add at the top of this review that the way Wilde handles how the brain can recognize an intrusive/insidious thought as wrong or illogical and still be controlled by it is done in such a beautifully nuanced way. So often I find myself yelling at characters for knowing they're thinking stupid things and just not caring or ignoring it, but Wilde acknowledges they're there and how difficult they can be to ignore. Five stars for that right there.
Brooks and Siena accidentally end up in a fake dating fiasco and (inevitably) the lines start to blur. The ballroom scene? Filthy. I'm drooling. This was a slow burn but like, still super on fire?? I don't know, but it was great and I loved it.
The third act breakup was a little annoying, but it made sense. Leading up to it, I knew it was coming and I still found tears coming out of the corner of my eyes. Overall, this was such a well done book and, in my opinion, so much better than the first.
"You aren't an afterthought to me. You are the thought. From the moment I wake up to the second I fall asleep. It's you." He was so obsessed, I loved it.
Wholeheartedly recommend this book if you love Tessa Bailey, fake dating, banter, sports romance, etc. It's a good one!
Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for an advanced copy of this book. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

Fake dating + football drama + slow-burn perfection? YES PLEASE.
Brooks is a comeback king with a bad-boy image to fix, and Siena is confident, clever, and not afraid to speak her mind. Both characters are impossible not to love! Their “accidental It couple” energy is everything—snarky, steamy, and secretly sweet.
Ellie K. Wilde nailed the chemistry, the tension, and all the feels. I couldn’t put it down! If you love sports romance with heart and heat, this one’s for you. 🏈🔥💋

This book had me in a chokehold from page one. If you're into flirty banter, spicy moments, and surprisingly deep characters, all wrapped up in a football romance, you’re going to eat this up.
The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts, and the dialogue was sharp, hilarious, and addictive. I found myself grinning like an idiot one second and clutching my chest the next all within the same chapter. The emotional growth, the layered backstories, the friendships: chef’s kiss.
That said…yes, some parts did get a little cringey. Think odd high school couple in the hallway type cringe. But honestly? I was able to ignore or block it from my brain and move on.
Perfect for fans of steamy sports romance with heart and humor. Would def recomend and would read more books by this author.

Adorable! The banter was so good! A strong independent woman realizing it’s out to ask for a help and a golden retriever man needing someone to break down his walls. The strangers to lovers story played out so well.
Siena and Brooks literally bump into each other just to fall head over heels. The story started easy with the feels, but the way the author wrote them falling in love was so smooth. Isn’t wasn’t just a quick jump, or a quick realization. The timing worked so well and she briefly toughed on it. It wasn’t a big noticeable moment in the story, which in my opinion worked. I kept reading to see when the first I love you would drop.
I will say I do not understand when characters don’t follow their dreams cause they’re afraid of what their parents think or disappointing them. I won’t say that doesn’t help in reality, I just never experienced it really understand the plot point. I was getting really annoyed that Siena wasn’t talking to her mother about how she was feeling and what her real dreams were.
In the end, adorable loving story. A bit repetitive but I’m glad I read it. I’m ready for Summer and Parker’s story now!

Siena Pippen just wanted to feel close to her dad by visiting the football field he loved. A chance encounter with Brooks Attwood, a football player looking to stage a comeback, ends with Siena getting roped into being his fake girlfriend. She’s not worried about catching feelings, though, because she swore off of professional athletes after breaking up with her ex.
This was a really fun, spicy sports romance! This was my first book by this author but I’ll go back and read the first book in the series! Brooks was such a perfect slightly grumpy but actually so soft MMC. I loved the way he immediately felt protective over Siena, even though she was clearly used to taking care of herself.
If you love sports romance and fake dating, I recommend this one!

I loved Only in Your Dreams! And her newest title was just as good.
Only Between Us by Ellie K Wilde was a super quick, light rom-com romance.
The characters were all very lovable and enjoyable.
This book was a fun and captivating read that kept me up til 2am because I wanted to read one more chapter.
The author's writing style is engaging, making it easy to become invested in the characters' lives.
The romance itself was absolutely adorable. The chemistry between the characters felt so real and natural.
Ellie K. Wilde’s writing is smooth and engaging, making it easy to get lost in the world she created.

I absolutely love how Ellie delivers a romcom.. The FMCs are always fierce, hilarious and just all around badass, and the MMCs are equal parts charming, menace, and softie! Just like the first Oakwood Bay book, this was full of tension, banter, heart, and a bit spice!
The he falls first trope will never get old to me. It takes Brooks a minute to get over his insecurities from his ex, but once he does, the way this man pines for Siena is something else. Like what do you mean he basically buys the entire menu at a coffee shop because he didn't know what her favourite drink was!
This is a great summer read with fun and sexy times (like HE has a praise kink!) but there is also emotional depth to these characters as they overcome their past. It definitely had me kicking my feet one minute, and tearing up the next. I cannot wait for book #3!

Despite this taking me several days to finish, there was not a single moment I wanted to put this book down!! (I simply just had to work which felt like a crime!)
Thank you to Atria and to Ellie K. Wilde for this ARC!! I was so excited to be invited back into Oakwood Bay! An easy five stars! ✨
I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!! Brooks and Siena had such a strong connection from the very first moment they made contact (😏) with each other! I loved seeing them go through the stages of grief over their first initial impression of the other being wrong. I mean, who doesn’t love dislike to love AND fake dating!!!
Brooks and Siena both had gone through so much in their life that has left them feeling not worthy of being loved and going after what they want in life. The best part of this book to me wasn’t the absolutely HOT 🥵 chemistry these two had, even though I will be thinking of it for the remainder of the year and beyond. Rather, I loved seeing how while falling for the other person, they were both slowly lowering their walls and revealing those deep insecurities they tried so hard to keep hidden. In falling for each other, they found the strength to overcome those things, and had the support of the other to back them up when they struggled. Their love story was truly just beautiful, I love them so much!!
And of course, we got to see all of our fav Oakwood Bay characters, making me so excited for the next book in the series!! (PLS BE PARKER AND SUMMER?!?!!!!!)

Brooks is trying to comeback to football after an injury and some bad publicity, he needs something good come his way. This good is Sienna. They were caught in a photo that leads them to fake date to help each other out.
I love the banter and the tension between these two. Brooks was such a cinnamon roll and attentive to Sienna. I love how he quickly befriended Sienna's mom too.
The 3rd act breakup wasn't my favorite but everything else was so good.
This is the 2nd book in the series but can be read as a standalone.
Thank you @atriabooks for a copy of the book
