Pepper Bay has become one of my favourite bookish places to visit thanks to Dady, so I was super excited to make my first visit Port Berry.
It didn't disappoint. Although it was my initial visit, I had no idea that it was actually the fourth book in the series...guess what I've bought?
First up, it's set in Cornwall which is always a win for me and it has a great close-knit community which made me feel at home.
The characters are relatable, immediately likeable and friendly. I look forward to catching up with them all very soon.
A New Arrival in Port Berry is the perfect escapism and was an absolute delight to read.

What? I'm not crying... you're crying(!)... OK, maybe I'm crying too...
This book...!
The story follows Beth, Spencer, and their cute baby boy Archie.
There is a whole backstory between Mummy and Daddy, which I will leave you to uncover yourself, but what I found incredibly moving was K.T. depiction of Beth's struggle with Postnatal Anxiety (PNA.)
I have a 3 year old daughter, and I still remember those early days, which were incredibly hard, but to add PNA to the mix... poor Beth.
Beth's struggle feels incredibly real, and as a mum, I really felt for her.
Spencer was a bit of an enigma to me initially as he wasn't what I expected. This is a guy who had a one night stand and then ducked out on the lass... usually in those kinds of stories, the guy is a bit of a jerk...
Honestly, he's a genuinely nice guy and goes above and beyond to support his community, and of course, his son, when they are introduced.
💚 He also offers support to Beth - a massive green flag! 💚
This is an incredibly heart-warming story and really, really get to you emotionally. With second chance and a HEA at stake, I absolutely recommend this book to romance lovers everywhere ❤️.

This is the fourth book in the Port Berry series and although I've not read all the previous books, I did have the pleasure of reading book 3, last year, before realising that is wasn't the first.
So, given this follows on, I thought why not!
I'd also realised that this series actually reads pretty well as a standalone read.
The stories do all occur in the beautiful Port Berry setting - and there are obviously some returning characters - but the way these focus mainly on our current main characters, mean that these are just as enjoyable on their own.
But, you may see some little spoilers, so if you can, read from the beginning!
In this book we focus on Spencer and Beth's story ...and of course little Archie.
This was an unusual premise...or I should say and unusual story surrounding this situation.
When Beth feels overwhelmed by the anxiety of being a new mum, she leaves her baby (safely!) with his father.
Spencer, however, didn't know he was a father!
I actually really loved the way this played out because both parent was so accepting of the situation and so attentive to the baby.
Spencer took to his role well and Beth sought the help she knew she needed.
Following this, she returns to her baby's side and together, Spencer and Beth navigate what this all means for them both.
I thought this was so sensitively dealt with and a real joy to read.
There was no worry for Archie and it was lovely to see a story about something so common and natural, being dealt with so well.
Obviously there are a few blips, but it was lovely to see this progress and come to the conclusion that it did.
Having already read book 3, it was nice to recognise and feel at home in this gorgeous setting.
The writing really draws you in and makes you feel part of this little community.
A great addition to this series and a lovely read.
I know I need many more hours in the day, but I really do want to make time to check out the first two books in this series soon!

spencer has a quiet life in port berry; he finds an abandoned baby on his doorstep claiming he is the father. good story

After one night stand Beth finds herself pregnant and after a very emotionally difficult child birth she is having trouble raising her 3 month old son Archie so when she is walking around Port Berry where she now lives she is surprised to see Spencer the father of her son . Spencer is working at his family flower shop and also is mentoring children at the Sunshine Centre , so he is shocked when he finds a baby on his doorsteps that it claims to be his son . Beth is only left him for a couple of days and then she goes to Spencer and she explain to him about what really happen to her to make her abandon her child . Spencer suggest that they should live together at first . Spencer and Beth together work at the Sunshine Centre and help the three young boys that he is in charge and she is also involved with a baby bank and working through her anxiety .
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publisher as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

We all need a helping hand at different times in our lives. Beth finds out in the A New Arrival in Port Berry that it is okay to let others help you. This book is about mental health, relationships, helping others through their struggles, finding purpose in life and finding a home. A New Arrival in Port Berry is book #4 in the Port Berry series telling the story of Beth and Spencer. This book is as well written and enjoyable as the first book of the series. You meet some new characters along with old friends upon returning to Port Berry in this book. The characters are believable and well developed. K.T Dady handles topics of mental health in a realistic and respectful manner which is part of the reason I love the Port Berry series. Each book in the series deals with mental health aspects. K.T Dady does not just brush over these mental health topics or have someone telling the character to buckle up and just get over it, you're fine or sweeping the issue under the rug but walks the character through the daily journey of dealing with the particular mental health struggle found in each book, such as PTSD, social anxiety, postnatal anxiety and other topics. Port Berry is a place that is welcoming, kind, supportive, caring, and has people that not only help their friends but reach out to strangers. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Pick up a copy today. I received an advanced copy of this book from Netgalley for my honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I enjoyed my trip back to Port Berry.
Spencer is enjoying running his flower shop as well as being a mentor to children at the Sunshine Centre. He also looks out for his sister. A while back he led a very different life.
But all that changes, when he discovers a pram with a baby in it one night left on his doorstep.
Beth, is new in Port Berry, and she’s struggling at the moment with her baby, so she’s left it Spencer's doorstep. Making him aware that she will come back for Archie as well as something else.
We follow Spencer and Beth as they look after Archie, once Spencer has got over the shock of what was written in the note.
We also meet up with the other residents and see what they are doing now.
It was lovely to see the community come together to help Beth as well as Spencer and the children he mentors.
I highly recommend this book.

Beth just wanted a night with no responsibilities, she wasn't planning on having a baby.
Nearly a year layer Beth moves to Port Berry with her son Archie, she sees other mothers acing it but she feels she is failing her son.
One day she is out walking and is shocked to see her one night stand Spencer in Port Berry.
Spencer used to be a bit of a cad but he left that all behind him except for that one night at a conference.
Spencer has started a new part time job working with three troubled children but is what he is doing enough
One night Beth hits rock bottom and leaves Archie outside Spencers door, hiding behind the wall she watches him taking her son in, but why does she not feel any better
This was a great story about two people who have past hurts and carry the scars can they along with Port Barry overcome these challenges and be happy.
I loved this book, I am reading them backwards but I loved the characters and the sensitive way they covered the emotional topics.
I can't wait to read the precious books. Definitely worth reading

I really enjoyed returning to Port Berry. I think I would love to live there where everyone helps everyone else. A sweet story which made me smile. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

A New Arrival in Port Berry is the story of Spencer and a new character Beth. Spencer and Beth had a fleeting moment in the form of a one night stand which created a beautiful baby. Beth is struggling with her mental health while trying to care for the baby and Spencer is stunned when he finds a new born baby on his doorstep. This is a slow burn romance that got me feeling all the feels. More than anything else I love the characters as they seem real and friendly. The plot is thoughtful and full of commitment. I really look forward to reading about the characters in the small community. There dedication to helping each other is inspiring!

This book offers a breezy, heartwarming escape, filled with witty banter, endearing mishaps, and just enough chemistry to keep the pages turning. The love interest is suitably charming, with enough depth to make their dynamic engaging, even if some of their conflicts feel a bit predictable.
While the book excels in humor and sweet moments, the protagonist’s personal growth occasionally takes a backseat to the romantic plot. A deeper exploration of their emotional journey could have added more weight to their happily-ever-after.
That said, the supporting cast adds plenty of fun, and the romantic tension is well-paced, making it easy to root for the central couple. The writing is light and engaging, perfect for readers looking for a feel-good story with a few laughs along the way. If you don’t mind a little predictability and enjoy banter-filled romance, this book is a charming pick—just don’t expect too much introspection between the meet-cutes and grand gestures.

Welcome back to Port Berry in this fourth book of the series, where Spencer Jordan finds his happily ever after in this sweet and caring community that I love to read about.
Spencer Jordan is busy running his flower shop, mentoring children at the Sunshine Centre, and ensuring his sister is happy. This life is very different from the one he led a few years ago, but he is content. However, everything changes one night when he opens his door to find a pram with a little baby boy inside.
Beth Horton is new to Port Berry, and in a moment of desperation, she has left her baby on Spencer's doorstep with a note stating that she would return for Archie.
What follows is a heartwarming story of growth, family, togetherness, community, generosity, struggles, and most importantly, love.

im so glad to be back in Port Berry. and this time with Beth and Spencer. and their story is just as wonderful as the others. with the last one i didnt think it could be better. but each time we are back i feel fully embraced by it. this one is so moving and the depth and sensitivity to the telling of it is done to perfection.
Beth is someone that i just wanted to hug so much. she could teach us all a thing or two. or we could all learn to be a lot better humans when we judge other people. she was going through so much and the writing really bought the context of post natal anxiety and depression to life. i can imagine her story would allow comfort for many a new family.
Seth and the way he handled the arrival on his doorstep was lovely. and never have a rooted for a couple more. they clearly werent going to have it easy for a while. but then that shows what having someone in your corner truly does for you. it allows you to keep going. it allows you to heal. and when you are coming at it from an equal and balanced sides in a relationship you can be there for eachother, even if sometimes one of you needs more or less at any given time. its still feels eqaul and full of love. my heart was clasped at certain points because i truly wanted these two to be ok. and that in itself is the showing of a great story.

This was such a great romance book. It was filled with a lot of heart wrenching parts. But it had so many sweet parts as well.

I love these Port Berry books. Can read as a stand alone but is part of a set. The baby part is so moving and you so feel for Beth. It is a very moving story at times . Your past can really haunt you. . The hub is amazing and I loved the badges and the boys . Good to be back with old characters and meet new ones .The book covers some very difficult subjects well. I could not put it down. The three boys are adorable in their own ways. Just read it. You get a lovely happy ending with some romance.

I really enjoyed A New Arrival in Port Berry. The small-town charm of Port Berry was lovely, and I quickly connected with Spencer and Beth's journey. Spencer’s quiet life is disrupted in a very compelling way when a baby is left on his doorstep, and the way he handles it shows his depth and kindness. Beth’s struggle with postnatal anxiety and her emotional journey were depicted with a lot of sensitivity. The evolving relationship between Spencer and Beth was heartwarming, though there were moments where the drama felt a little rushed. Still, the story was engaging, and I appreciated the themes of love, second chances, and healing. Definitely a sweet, feel-good read!

I received a free copy of, A New Arrival in Port Berry, by K.T. Dady, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 4 of 4 in The Port Berry Series. Mr. Spencer Jordan finds a baby on his doorstep in Port Berry. Beth Horton left the baby on Spencer doorstep, but now she wants him back. Babies are not things you get rid of then want back, life does not work that way.

Brilliant to be back with the gang in Port Berry. Spencer has spent his life looking after his sister but now she’s standing in her own two feet he takes on the role of mentor to some kids who are finding life difficult and he’s happy.
Beth has taken a leap into a new life in Port Berry with her newly born son Archie but she’s struggling and to here surprise she sees the man who fathered Archie after a one night stand. In a moment of madness she leaves Archie with him, but she discovers she needs to be with him
Spencer and Beth navigate the pitfalls of co parenting but can they make it something more.
Loving this series and can’t wait for another visit soon.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

So, we have Spencer, whose life gets turned upside-down when he finds a baby (!!!) on his doorstep with a note saying, “Congrats, you’re a dad!” And then we have Beth, the struggling single mom who, in a moment of desperation, leaves her baby with Spencer, thinking he’ll provide a better life. Naturally, guilt and motherly instincts pull her back.
It was a touching journey of self-acceptance, growth, and learning to embrace life's unexpected twists. The mental health representation was handled with care, and I really admired how Beth’s struggles with postnatal anxiety and trauma were acknowledged rather than brushed aside. The characters, on their own, were well fleshed out—I got a solid sense of who Spencer and Beth were as individuals, which made their personal arcs feel genuine and meaningful.
Now, onto the romance. Here’s where I might be a little bit of an outlier. WHERE WAS THE SPARK?! 😭 I wanted to feel that slow burn, that tension, those butterflies. Instead, every time Beth and Spencer were in a room together, I felt... nothing. I loved them separately, but together? It felt more like two co-parents figuring out logistics rather than a love story that made me swoon.
And then we have the third-act breakup… WHY?!! 😫 Nothing kills my vibe faster than a breakup that feels unnecessary, and this one felt so avoidable. About Beth’s panic attacks…listen, I totally understand that healing isn’t linear, but the speed at which she seemed to recover felt a little too fast to be realistic.
That being said, the book was a heartwarming story, and I still found moments to enjoy. The setting of Port Berry was adorable, the side characters were endearing, and if you love a story about second chances, there’s definitely something here to appreciate.
