The last book in the "Chaotic Orbits" trilogy has Ada and Rian arriving on Earth to change the programming of the nanobots soon to be released on the planet to remediate the damaged environments.
The pair have to break into a high security facility so Ada can get to the nanobots and change their code, which Fetor, the bajillionaire Ada encountered in book two, replaced with his own, to ensure mega profits for himself when the nanobots required ongoing, continuous patches from him to work properly.
Rian, of course, plans to arrest Ada as soon as she completes her reprogramming of the nanobots, but he's a little off his game, what with the new things he learns about her and her mother.
Ada's irrepressible humour and smarts again make this a fun read, and the tight timeline keeps the suspense up. I liked meeting Ada's mother, and discovering just how smart, driven, and sneaky she is, too.
That Ada is successful mission for her employer and escape leaving Rian again gnashing his teeth goes without saying. I expected no less from the seemingly chaotic Ada Lamarr. She's so much about misdirection, using banter and seemingly innocuous but in plain sight behaviours and statements to allay Rian's security training. I just wonder, beyond the fact that's he's good-looking, why Ada bothers with Rian, as she's clearly so much smarter than him, and so much better at getting things done.
I went back and forth between the prose and the audiobook, and was again hugely entertained by Dara Roseberg's take on Ada. There is so much laughter, intelligence and wryness in Rosenberg's take, which had me falling in love with Ada from the moment she appeared in book one. David Bendena brings a nice stuffiness and stiffness to Rian's dialogue, and makes me believe that though the character is intelligent, he's naïve in many ways, especially when it comes to the differences in experience and intentions between him and Ada.
The story ends, but it's an open ending. This leaves me hoping that we'll see Ada again running circles around the upright Rian, which I'd be there for.
Thank you to Netgalley, DAW Books and to Dreamscape Media for this ARC in exchange for my review.

Hi! I’m going to need you all to go read this series so that I can get more books! I need a fully radicalized (corrupted? No, he can’t be corrupted, he must be radicalized) Rian. I need a Strom Fedor meltdown. I need more of Ada stealing things right under everyone’s noses. Maybe Strom Fedor can also die in a cheese explosion. I just need more stories in the Chaotic Orbits series. To clarify, no Last Chance to Save the World does not end on a cliff hanger. The heist, as far as we know it, is complete. But the door is left open for so many more shenanigans and I need them.
If you have not read Full Speed to a Crash Landing and How to Steal a Galaxy get yourself to a library or other place you acquire books. If you enjoy audiobooks, get those! Dara Rosenberg does the bulk of the narration and she is fantastic. She makes Ada sharp and funny with that rage burbling underneath. She’s letting you in on the secret, but just a little bit until she can excitedly explain the plan. David Bendena’s narration as Rian comes in at the beginning and end. He is so frustrated and so enraptured. He has it bad and has no idea how to handle any of it.
I really can’t talk about much without spoilers, so I will say, this installment takes place mostly on Earth. Ada has convinced Rian that Strom Fedor has nefarious plans for the nanobots, and he has agreed to help her access Fedor’s headquarters. He also plans to arrest Ada for her various crimes. Good luck with that!
The audiobook version of Last Chance to Save the World was a fun listen and I am delighted to have a full set of the hardback novellas on my shelf.
I received this as an advance listener copy from Dreamscape Media and NetGalley. My opinions are my own, freely and honestly given.

Awesome—that gives me a great vibe to work with. Here’s a draft review you could post as-is or tweak to fit your usual tone:

Review: Last Chance to Save the World by Beth Revis
I absolutely loved this one. The dynamic between the two main characters was electric—equal parts tension, vulnerability, and reluctant teamwork. The way their relationship evolved kept me hooked, and that twist at the end? Did not see it coming.
I listened to the audiobook, and the dual narration made it even better. Both narrators did a fantastic job capturing the emotions and urgency, especially in the missives and mission notes. It gave the story a gritty, end-of-the-world/military feel that totally pulled me in. Highly recommend if you love high-stakes sci-fi with heart.

This a master class in how to have your main character have plans the reader isn't aware of, without making the reader angry
With steady pacing throughout, keeping you engaged and wanting to read/listen to one more chapter, but very few big showy plot twists, this book had be hitting play and not putting it down until the author notes. The audiobook was, once again, exceptional. I cannot recommend enough that the narration and production make this a must-listen book. I truly don't know if I would have enjoyed it as much had I read it with my eyes instead of my ears.
I suspect many readers will have an issue with the conclusion as it is a bit open-ended. It wraps up the plot and focus of this trilogy, but it leaves us with a tease. Some will enjoy it because it does feel representative of the trilogy as a whole - a bit of a "do I really know what's going to happen", so it left me with a smile on my face. That said, it isn't a clean ending so some readers may be left wanting more.
My primary issue is that it is being marketed as a romance. This, honestly, is not a romance. The definition of the romance genre is not met in this book. This is a sci-fi with romantic elements, this is NOT a romance.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advanced listener copy. All opinions are my own and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, but it didn't quite hit the highs of the first or second book. There were some brilliant moments, but I think it was missing the wider circle of friends/gang/cast of characters that made the first book so good. Still, very happy to have finished the series, though, Beth Revis, you really left it there? (Surprise fourth book? Please???)

I love Beth Revis's books but I'm a little confused.
Let's start with the positive. This is the exact sci-fi romance that we all know and love from Mrs. Revis. The plot was so fun! I love the hesit action vibes mixed with the high stakes sci-fi genre. The romance was enthralling and well done for how short the overall series is.
Which takes me into what didn't work for me. HOW IS THIS THE END?? The book blurb promises a satisfying conclusion to the final book in this trilogy but it ends on a cliffhanger?? clearly there's more to come if I know Beth Revis but I felt the blurb promsied something that it didn't deliver on. Now will I read the rest of her books? 100% yes.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
It was a quick and fun read, returning back to ada and rian. They just have great banter and chemistry between each other but just wished for a little more.
Still really enjoyed it and would continue if they come out with more.

Audiobook received froM NetGalley. I greatly enjoyed the delivery by two narrators, one female and one male. Light reading (er, listneing), nothing very profound here. This is the third book in a series, I enjoyed the first and DNFd the second. I almost feel like I didn't miss much by skipping the middle volume. The FMC, Ava, is fun to listen to, although she can be arrogant to a fault. Still not sure exactly what she sees in the MMC, Rian. But well, hormones. I would go back for more, and the ending definitely sets up cause for more shenanigans.

10/10! I love this series so much! And the audiobooks are *chef's kiss*! If you think "this looks interesting", stop what you are doing and just go get them. No context, I promise you will have a good time!
Thank you SO MUCH Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for an ALC!

While this series was wrapped up nicely and Ada accomplished what she set out to do, I can’t help but agree with all the other reviewers that are disappointed in how it ended. She does manage to save the world but we don’t get the happily ever after we wanted. This may, then, set the stage for another book and I am hopeful but if it ends like this then I am OK, too, as it’s exactly how it has to be given the circumstances. The story is easy to follow with clear, crisp writing and tons of intrigue and action. This was entertaining and fun with just the right amount of tension to keep you on the edge of your seat.

This was such an entertaining book, I enjoyed it more than the first two as we were able to see more of the main character's personal life & history. I still wish we could have spent a little more time on certain subjects but overall, it was a very fun and fast pace read. If you are looking for a short novella series, this is one for you.
That all said, there were a few things I do wish could have been more developed and explained / expanded on. One being the main characters personal ties to people on earth. Another being the romance between the two characters. I do think this book did a better job than the first two explaining and developing their relationship though.
Overall, this was a 3.75 read for me.
Thank you NetGalley for the advance listener's copy! The audiobook was done well and I do feel encapsulated the tone of both the story, and characters, well.

It's time. Ada Lamarr has the code to fix the nanobot cleaners before they're released on an unsuspecting population. She's also got the help of government agent Rian White - yes she had to literally kidnap him to get him to seriously consider what was happening, but now he's on board. At least, Ada is using him for his security connections, but she knows ultimately she cannot trust him. She'll just have to get in, get the job done, and get out.
Everything in the series has been building up to this moment. It's been a fun one to listen to for sure. I loved the dual narration and how it was utilized with Rian's sections being very epistolary and Ada's being a more straight-forward story. I like that we've had the same narrators for all three books as I think it builds up a familiarity with the characters. Dara Rosenberg narrating for Ada always has this sense of impishness about her which is perfect because of course Ada is always up to something.
I will say, though, that this one follows the same formula as the other two books. The first book was such a surprise, for obvious reasons, and I think getting that level of surprise back is difficult. Like I was never going to think that Ada didn't have backup plans for her backup plans. So this time around - and the same in the second book - was just seeing what twists Ada had up her sleeve because you knew they were coming.
I did enjoy what Beth Revis has planted little seeds of this rebellion happening and with each book has expanded upon them further. This book just brings everything home, both literally and figuratively. I think this one is full of more sizzling scenes between Rian and Ada and I enjoyed how much she could make him blush.
I love that these books are super quick reads/listens and how well everything is packed together. The ending makes me believe that we could get more adventures for Rian and Ada. I would love that. This book, possibly even more than book two, really expanded the futuristic universe. I would absolutely love to continue exploring the galaxy with these characters!

I've had so much fun reading this series, and the conclusion was gripping, fast-paced, and full of the twists and turns that I've come to expect from Beth Revis. The eco-science fiction, the strong female characters and how easily Rian is outsmarted—LOVE how every book has had me on the edge of my seat until the very last second.
In terms of actual content, the book itself feels very... girlboss yas queen feminism, which isn't a terrible thing! I'm just not the audience for the wink, nudge FEMINIST! sci-fi romance genre, not really. One of my biggest issues with this series has been narration spending too much time explaining rather than showing me the setting and the conflict within exposition, but I suppose that also first-person narration lends itself to this as a short-coming. Again, not terrible, but it pulls me out of the story to have the story break to explain technology, or a history of the universe that the characters live in, or to explain the double-blinds.
All in all, I've loved reading this series in between reading heavier books, and despite my above commentary, Revis' narration style is quick and witty and smart.

When I say I could read 100 of these books about Ada and Rian, I actually mean I could read 200 of them. Their game of cat and mouse continues to be full of delightful banter and innuendo, and I find them both so endlessly endearing. This latest installment expands on this in the best way, and I really don’t think I could ever get tired of them.
Ada continues be witty, scheming, and an overall delight. Rian continues to be grouchy, sexy, and enamored. Ugh. They’re so fun. I need more!! The stakes of this one felt significantly higher, and the tensions rising between Ada and Rian were absolutely delicious. I love that each of these stories has built on the same foundation of Ada always a step ahead and Rian trying to stop her, yet each one still feels fresh.
Absolutely adored it 100% and would devour more of these. Love love love.

I refuse to believe this is the end of this delightful space heist trilogy. Especially, since it felt like it ended on another cliffhanger (maybe not one as dramatic as the first two books, but...). I had not read any Beth Revis books prior to this trilogy and I am obsessed now. Fun, sexy, and a compelling plot, this book packs a punch in a small package. I highly recommend picking it up in audio form as the narration by Dara Rosenberg and David Bendena really takes it to another level. I especially enjoyed hearing Rian's sections in that format. I highly recommend!

4.5*
Though this is series of three shorter novella-like stories, I think the story within is well done, fun, and quite n adventure. There’s a lot of running about, being sneaky, and trying to thwart crappy people.
Since the novella is fairly short, the pacing is well done and high energy from beginning to end. The dialogue between the characters is tongue-in-cheek, and sarcastic but it lends well to the idea of Rian and Ad having a sort of love/ hate relationship where they are constantly circling each other but not fully coming together as a full-blown lovers’ scenario.
This novella focuses on Rian and Ada having to work together, possibly begrudgingly, to save the inhabitants of earth from being sabotaged by a defecting nanobots which are being disseminated to clear the water and air of the polluted planet.
I don’t want to give too much more away since there are only about 175 pages. However, I do recommend this book but more importantly, this series. I think if you read all three parts, it would be one really great novel, and I certainly hope we get to go on more adventures with Ada.

What a stunning novella. Ada continues to be a complete badass. I love her so much! The social commentary in this one is utterly *chef’s kiss*

The third and final installment in the Chaotic Orbits novella trilogy did not disappoint. I love the bite-sized format of these books and the narration was so good! This bittersweet gem of a series was one of the highlights of my reading over the last year or two. I'll miss Ada and her shenanigans; I would read so many more of her adventures!
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for providing access to this audiobook for review purposes.

If you are looking for a fun, slow-burn tension filled series that is both futuristic and realistic-with some devastating plot twists, Last Chance to Save the World (with the first two in the Chaotic Orbits Series) fits the bill!
This is the third book in a supposed trilogy and it did not disappoint! Like many readers, I have some strong feelings about the ending, but I realize with this series, the endings are always a bit of a shock/surprise situation, and indeed...Last Chance to Save the World gave readers exactly that!
Despite my admittedly big feels about the ending, this is a delightful continuation of the saga of Ada and Rian as they work alongside each other (in tandem, but not quite "together) to literally save the original earth. As always their different personalities and approaches towards everything make for a hilarious and fun novel full of enjoyable banter, razor wire tension, and heartfelt emotional moments we've come to expect from the series. Readers are piloted through a wild ride to as Ada, predictably takes thing right down to the wire! Can Ada and Rian save the world, cant hey save themselves? I recommend jumping in headfirst to find out!
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to listen via audio book, Both Dara Rosenberg and David Bendena enhance the experience with no noted mispronunciations, or mumbling. Both narrators created a natural pace and flow, that enhanced the characters personalities - making this a pleasure to plug into and enjoy! I was able to entirely suspend any disbelief and become absorbed in all the details- even the blue cubed candy from the space stations! Highly recommend the audio version.
I'm hoping the most for a spin off or fourth novel- because I don't think we are really done with Ada or Rian, but I'd settle for a special edition sparkly omnibus of all three books as well.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to read and review!

This is just as fun and silly as the first 2, and I continue to really love Ada & Rian’s dynamic. I think this ending totally makes sense for the series but would love more entry’s following these two!
If you enjoyed the first 2 novellas then I think you will have fun with this one as well.
At some point I definitely want to reread all 3 novellas back to back.
