(Disclaimer: I received the audiobook from the publisher, but this has in no way influenced my review. My thoughts are entirely unbiased and honest.)
I’ve been eagerly anticipating this final book after being so entertained by Ada’s antics and gray morality.
It’s pretty clear that Beth Revis loves sci-fi and Star Wars (which really is a space opera), which I totally appreciate as someone who loves heist/action/romance stories set in space!
That said, I have to agree with other reviewers—whoever decided to stretch this story into three short books instead of a duology really did it a disservice.
Despite having the highest stakes, Last Chance to Save the World is the weakest installment in terms of plot, characterization, and the boom factor was just missing.
It would've been much stronger as a two-book series, giving the characters and their motivations more depth and chance to breathe.
After all that betrayal and plotting, it would’ve been so satisfying to see more tender moments between Ada and Rian, not focused on their sexual tension.
This final book relied too much on telling rather than showing, making the ending feel a bit anti-climactic for me.
I also didn’t find Rian as compelling love interest anymore—he just felt kind of flat.
Still, I’d love to see more books set in this universe because the possibilities are endless!
Huge thanks to the publishing team, and hopefully next time, don’t force a cash grab. Hehe.

Engaging, funny, sexy, exciting this third book in the series is exactly what a heist story should be. The banter between Ada and Rian was 💯10/10 I definately want to check out some of the authors other space themed books. Revis wrote a bunch of Star Wars tie ins so maybe those will be next…….
A million billion thank yous to publisher Dreamscape media and NetGalley for the audio arc!

This was a good end to an amusing trilogy. I would not be opposed to more, at all, and I remain hopeful with that ending, that Revis could treat us to some more short entertaining space adventures with Ada and Rian. The banter is fun and the tension between the two of them remains palpable. I will be adding more of this author to my reading repertoire.
The narration brought the story to life in a pleasing way.
I recommend this short series, especially in audiobook format, to people that enjoy space heists with some romantic tension.
Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an early listening copy of this book. The opinions expressed are honest and my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This was a great finale! I loved the tension between Ada and Rian as the dynamic between them is just so amazing. I loved how this wrapped everything up neatly and yet left one small opening for more. I would love to know more about how this world got to be the way it is and could see more books in this world. I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book and how it ties to other parts of the first two books.

This one picks up right where the last novella left off, with Ada and Rian racing to stop corrupted nanobots from destroying Earth. Their banter? Still top-tier. Tension? Absolutely there. And Ada being five steps ahead of everyone? Of course.
As an electrical engineer, this series totally speaks to my nerdy heart. Tech-savvy heroines, sci-fi heists, clever twists, and just the right amount of chaos? Yes, please. I continue to love the mix of high-stakes action and flirty tension. The audiobook narration is still great too.
That said, I wouldn’t call this a satisfying conclusion. The plot was wrapped up nicely, but the romance? Still very much unresolved. I needed more closure between Ada and Rian (Just give me something PLEASE!!)
I had a blast with this series overall. If you're into techy smartass heroines, slow burns, morally gray choices, and government agents who catch feelings but pretend they haven’t, this one's for you. Definitely read all three back-to-back for the best experience.

Last Chance to Save the Words starts off right after the events of How to Steal a Galaxy. Ada and Rian are on their way to Earth to save the planet from the release of corrupted nanobots. They must reach Earth and code the nanobots with a counter-virus before they are released. Can they save Earth before it's too late?
Can you love and hate a book at the same time? When it comes to Last Chance to Save the World, the answer is absolutely yes. I loved the last two novellas, and I was so excited for the conclusion of this series. This novella starts out as a five-star read. I loved Ada and Rian's banter and was interested in reading how all of the events from the previous novellas lined up with Ada's plans. However, when it came to the conclusion, I was left disappointed.
The ending seemed to leave on a cliffhanger, leaving us with wondering if we will see these characters in another series or if we will ever get the final conclusion when it comes to the romance between Ada and Rian. I was really hoping for more of an ending, than a conclusion that seemed to leave more questions than answers. Even with my disappointment in the conclusion, I would still rate this series 4 stars overall.
Last Chance to Save the World is out April 8th.
Thank you to Netgalley, Dreamscape Media and DAW for the opportunity to review Last Chance to Save the World. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO END
An amazing ending to an amazing trilogy. Questions from the previous books were answered and a new character is introduced. The tension and emotion between Ada and Rian was insane!!
I listened to a mix of audio and print for this series. This book was audio #GIFTED from Daw Books and NetGalley. It's excellently narrated! But the *new character* (trying to not spoil it), I wonder if that person's tone could have interpreted a different way and fit better? Still good, but I think I would have assumed a more serious tone in reading.
Maybe I read it too fast or love the series too much, but this one did feel shorter than the previous two. I wish there could have been more.
And that ending! It's not the one I wanted, but it's the only one that makes sense.
CW: all 3 books are full of swearing, like a lot. And no on the page intimacy but it's talked about a lot and super super flirty.
So, yeah. I'm putting my broken heart back together. Don't miss this action packed, swoOoOony sci-fi novella trilogy!

Adding in my original review below, but focusing on the audiobook/my second time listening.
I think doing a second read through/thinking more about this series as a whole has slightly lowered my original enjoyment. I still love this series, but I think book one is the best. Book three shows Ada still at her best, but Rian feels like he's completely out of his depth the entire time. What made the first books so enjoyable is the way it feels like a cat and mouse game that makes both characters feel competent. I think that, along with the way I found the ending somewhat unsatisfying, made me enjoy this book less. I still stand by my original review and hope that there is a continuation series one day.
Original review:
What a fantastic conclusion. This whole series was a fun and exciting ride and I was not ready for it to end! I'm always impressed by the layers of reveals these stories have. I think about these two characters all the time and this part offered a lot more insight into Ada. I know this is the end, but I would love more books in this series. I do wish we had more of a HEA, but maybe that just means this could be revisited later.
Excited to check out Beth Revis's backlist and looking forward to any future publications.

I've been eagerly anticipating this last novella in the series, and it (mostly) did not disappoint! I was fully engaged in the adventure elements of the story, and I definitely felt the tension during key high-stake moments. I also liked that we learned some background information on Ada and her family. I also enjoyed the chemistry between Ada and Rian. However, I took off a star because I would have enjoyed the ending better if Ada and Rian had actually ended up together, which I had been waiting for throughout the three books. I did like that the end was ambiguous and open enough that the reader could imagine further escapades between the two. However, if the book is marketed as a romance, the main couple should end up together. I would have also liked a little more backstory on Ada's family and their motivations, but all in all I highly enjoyed this novella and the trilogy as a whole. Once again, the narration was excellent and engaging!

"Last Chance to Save the World" was a nice ending to this novella trilogy. Of the three, this one was probably the least exciting since the mission was more straight forward. We also know Ada well enough at this point to know she always has a plan and at least 6 steps ahead at all times. The one thing I wish is that we got a more satisfying ending with the romance brewing between Ada and Rian.

what a fun conclusion to this series (although I wouldn't say no to more, hinthint).
There were all kinds of little Easter eggs, throughout this and the other books in this series. Clearly, I need to read more of this authors' writing This was a fast-paced heist, lots of twists and turns, and plenty of doublecrossing .
we have a creepy bad guy, sassy heroine, and a multitude of interesting characters in between. It did feel unfinished at the very end, I could have had another chapter (or another trilogy?)

Ada and Rian have one last chance to save the world. She's a hacker with a top secret client and he's a starchy government agent. She's kidnapped him (he claims this is a bad first date) and they are earth bound to stop a mega trillionaire from releasing drones that will cause irreparable damage to the climate and the people of earth. They're working together, except not ... Rian *needs* to turn Ada in, and Ada won't tell Rian her true motive.
On the one hand, I thought this might be the strongest of the novellas plot wise in the series, taken on its own merit. It's fun. There are some longing gazes and hot kisses. On the other hand, it *does not feel like a conclusion* as the blurb indicates. The romantic arc is almost entirely unresolved, and while the plot arc of the book is resolved, the overarching plot of the series has a lot of open threads still.
I have enjoyed this series - bite sized SF novellas built like this really work well as a format for me, and the narration of the audiobooks has been great. It should be read in order.

Marked for spoilers on Goodreads
Thanks to NetGalley and the author and publisher for an audiobook arc! I was really excited for this series because sci fi romantasy are so few and far between and they usually slap so hard too that I look forward to consuming all that I can.
I’m not sure I agree with this series being a trilogy. If you’re going to split up the story into three books they should be separate contained stories. This feels more like 1 book split into 3 novella sized books. At best this would have made a great duology. I also don’t agree with the “explosive conclusion”. It wasn’t explosive and it certainly didn’t feel like a conclusion (there could honestly be a whole other novella). If you were here for the romance I’m afraid you’ll be left wanting as that also does not conclude and it makes the narrator seem disingenuous.
I’d still recommend this series as the writing is fun and the story had a lot of potential but I recommend with some caveats. If you’re here after reading the first 2 it doesn’t feel like a satisfactory ending. There’s more talk/banter than actual action for the end of a heist story. If you came across this book and it sounds interesting but you haven’t read the first 2 I would recommend trying the first one and then reading all 3 as one book.
Duologies are underrated. Not every story needs more books. Interested to read more from this author.
Arc provided in exchange for a fair and honest review.

A fun conclusion to the Chaotic Orbit trilogy. The first book will always be my favorite, I think, but this is a strong addition. We finally have all of our questions answered, but the door is still open to see more of Ada and Rain. Personally, I hope this isn't the end for them.
The narrators are still fantastic. I think this series could have benefited from a true duet audiobook, since they casted both Ada's and Rian's voices. It would have been satisfying to hear Rian's VA for his dialogue, and not just for his memos and communications. The audiobooks aren't any less fantastic, though. I'm more than happy with the way they are. This trilogy has been short and sweet and sooooo much fun!! A perfect series to read between heavier and longer audiobooks.

After kidnapping Rian at the end of the second book, Ada is on a mission to save Earth from hacked nanobots set to hurt its remaining residents.
I was really looking forward to this conclusion but it left me wanting more! I wanted more organic moments between Ada and Rian, without her steamrolling him at every turn. There was a lot of inner monologuing and just not enough romance between them to really call this a fleshed out story. I appreciated the mystery and Ada’s ability to always be one step ahead in the heist, the world building is truly very interesting, but not used to its full potential. Overall a good “trilogy” if you can binge it all-together.
Thank you to Dreamscape Lore for the free audiobook. Narration by Dara Rosenberg and David Bendena was great, they added fun personalities to both characters and made it an enjoyable listen.

This series was so much fun! I loved each book and the last one did not disappoint! So good! Thanks NetGallery!

All right, I reviewed the previous entry in the series and gave it 4/5 because I love the premise but feel like this all could've been one book instead of dragging it out like this. Well, this conclusion is getting the same rating because I really love Ada and Rian, but this "conclusion" didn't resolve anything between them in a satisfying way. There's definitely a "the adventures continue" which I'm fine with because I like the book and there's some developments in this one that made me root for Ada's core mission even harder, but this is not a complete story.
I did love this descriptor of the series antagonist Strom Fetor as "an obscenely imbecilic man who crucified his own family to steal a bigger pot of the generational wealth that ensures he never once has to contemplate the deeply corrupt system of oppression that consistently enables him to fail up."
