I did not read Sav’s other series before I read this, and I kind of wish I had. However, this was excellent! I love a good dark romance; dark academia vibe. I would definitely buy this and recommended to a friend.

So I learnt after reading the characters in this book are connected to another series by this author, but came here to say that absolutely does not matter, it reads well on its own and you don’t feel like you’re missing anything if you haven’t read the other series!

What you do get if you read is:
Dark romance
Dark academia
Inspired by Greek furies

I actually enjoyed the romance in this one, there was a good build up between the love interest, a lot of tension and steamy parts and they have a natural connection that comes off the page,

I loved the secret society, creepy rituals and culty vibes, this is always what I want from a dark academia book 😆

This one is definitely worth a read if you enjoy the above themes!

I’d be interested in going back and reading from the authors previous works!

Thank you to Sourcebooks Casablanca and Sav R Miller for the gifted copy!

Publish date: August 19th

Sav absolutely never disappoints me. Asher and Lucy are so perfectly imperfect and I love them both so much. I could feel their connection in my soul so very much. I simply can't wait to own the physical copy ASAP.

The world building, the tension, the suspense, the romance - it's all there. Sav truly is a master at all these things and more. I highly recommend reading Monsters & Muses first simply to add on what Endless Anger brings to the table. Knowing the parents and families before lets you see/know more about the kids, even though this is our first time really meeting them/their personalities.

Thank you so much for the ARC copy; I definitely cried when I received the email.

I’ve been waiting years for this book, stalking months for this ARC and I finally read itttt!! I’m so happy. Sav absolutely nailed the kick off to the second gen series. It was the perfect amount of cameos and recap so any reader can pick it up. Seeing our monsters and muses crew as parents and full blown grown ups, omg the best.

Filled with Greek and Roman mythology references, dark academia setting, and secret society/cult vibes. The first few chapters are back in time, and they are so well done, set the tone and tension perfectly. The romance in this one is sooooo good. Asher and Lucy are so freaking cute. I love them so much. Asher is so funny, Lucy is so relatable and feisty. And omg LOVE Foxe. I have so many highlights in my book.

My only critique would be, the brutality in some spots doesn’t feel like it matches the information we got. I know this is a series and we will get more information and plot on Avernia but from a Asher and Lucy’s story is over standpoint, it felt a little shock value over believable plot. However this is a dark romance, the triggers are listed, take them seriously.

This is for the dark academia lovers. The vibes here were immaculate and had me kicking my feet. I also really enjoyed the secret societies, the murder mysteries and epic romance.

The angsty romance between Asher and Lucy was everything! I loved how morally grey Asher was and that he was only soft for Lucy. I mean that's just swoon city right there. It's also grumpy x grumpy which was delightful. I really liked their chemistry too. The history and yearning between these two was truly chef's kiss. The spicy scenes were also fantastic. Very hot for sure!

I also thought the theme of anger was interesting too. It's rage and violence but also could be an all consuming burning desire or hatred. I thought the author did a good job exploring different aspects of the theme.

There's a great mix of spice and plot too. I thought the story was well balanced and the pacing was perfect. This is a second generation book but I had no problem jumping right in.

Sadly this book was not for me... It needs a lot of editing, especially when we speak about Dark Academia and Dark Romance genres... It was really hard to finish, when I was not inversted in the story...

This was such a good book. I loved the story and the writing so much. The characters were great and the story flowed smoothly. Will definitely read more books by this author in the future

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to throw a dark academia novel, a Greek tragedy, and a very intense romance into a blender, Endless Anger is exactly that smoothie.

And yes, it tastes like pomegranate and chaos.

So here’s the thing: I knew going in that Asher Anderson was going to be trouble.
The man radiates “I hate everyone except her” energy, and wow, did Sav R. Miller deliver. He’s angry, he’s magnetic, he’s got a bloodline full of demons (metaphorical… mostly), and of course he follows Lucy wherever she goes.

And Lucy? She tries SO hard to pretend she doesn’t want him.

Spoiler: she fails. Especially when dark academia shenanigans land them alone in a library and things get… heated. (Yes, I was fanning myself and also wondering if they were about to knock over an entire shelf.)

But the romance isn’t all this book has going for it. I loved the setting of Avernia College. Ivy covered walls, secret societies, creepy rituals, and this sense that danger is always just out of sight. Every time a strange death or new threat popped up, I was like “okay, so who do we not trust now?”

There’s this great push and pull between the romance and the mystery. Just when you’re caught up in Asher and Lucy’s tension, the story throws you into another layer of the labyrinth (sometimes literally). And it worked. I was invested in both the slow burn emotional stakes and the murdery cult vibes.

If you like:

* Dark, obsessive romance
* Library kisses that spiral way out of control
* Family legacy drama
* Secret societies, rituals, and a campus that feels like a trap

…then yeah, Endless Anger is going to hit all the right notes.

For me, it’s the perfect messy cocktail of romance and danger. It’s a spinoff, but you can jump right in even if you haven’t read Monsters & Muses.

Just prepare to yell at Lucy (in love!) and maybe fall for Asher against your better judgment.

I hate to admit this but this was my first Sav R. Miller book and I’m absolutely OBSESSED with her writing.

This book had it all. Small town, dark twisted themes, slow burn romance, spice, grumpy MC’s and the lovely one bed trope. I devoured this book y’all. I really enjoyed the writing and the atmosphere of the story. All the mystery/horror elements throughout the book would make this the perfect fall read. I found myself getting a tiny bit annoyed with our FMC but I think that was a me problem and not a story problem.

This beauty releases on August 19th so make sure to pick up your copy. I promise you won’t regret it.

Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the e-arc!

With a cover like this and Sav R. Miller’s penchant for lyrical writing, dark themes, and alluring slow burning tension, I was so excited to dive into Endless Anger. Sav delivers a moody blend of dark academia, secret society intrigue, bloodshot and murder, and a slow-burning second-chance vibe romance between two former friends. An addictive, edgey, and delectably angsty dark romance.

Set at the mysterious Avernia College, Monsters Within gives us a glimpse into the second generation of the Monsters and Muses world, following Lucy and Asher—two childhood best friends turned near-strangers—thrust back into each other’s lives just as things on campus start to get dicey. I’ll say I have only read a few of the Monsters and Muses books, and I found the vibe of this to be a bit different- the overarching architecture has a different focus. I also was not as familiar with all the characters, so reading that series may enrich this even more- I know it’s always a treat to see your favorite’s kiddos finding their way and to see our antiheroes as dads.

Asher is broody, volatile, and fueled by rage at the world—except when it comes to Lucy, who’s the only person that’s ever really seen the TRUE him. Lucy has loved Asher since they were teens, and he’s been her protector for just as long. But a drunken night, unanswered questions, a bunch of miscommunication and years of silence fractured what they had... until fate and a creepy, gothic elite university bring them back together at last

The emotional tension between them is electric. Their chemistry is heady, layered by years of unresolved feelings, missed chances, and lingering doubts. I’ll admit the premise of their issue, the cause of their separation felt a bit juvenile to me— years of silence over an easily resolved misunderstanding is probably my least favorite plot construct. But, I appreciated how their reconnection didn’t come easily- and even if the cause of it felt overwrought, at least the answering reconnection aligned. Their relationship unfolds gradually, with all the angst, push-pull tension, and tentative vulnerability you'd expect from a love that has been simmering in complications.

The setting is super intriguing, and where the book really sets itself apart from it’s parent series. Avernia College is the perfect alluring backdrop: eerie, secretive, and full of disturbing rituals and deadly secrets. A murder kicks off the mystery, and from that moment on, the plot builds with a thrilling momentum. The twists land, and the mix of suspense and romance kept me hooked. There was a slower start, but once the story picked up the momentum, I really enjoyed it. And a slower start pacing has usually been my experience with Sav’s past books, so I come to expect the books to take me a minute to get immersed in. The last 20% is intense, chilling, and addictive..

This has all the hallmarks of a Sav R. Miller romance- dark romance with a morally gray lead, an edgey world, and plenty of danger and bloodshed, and I’m certainly intrigued by the rest of the series. Be sure to check the content warnings. There are definitely dark elements at play here!

I am 47% through and I am just BORED. Yes, things have happened, but the plot is just lacking. Nothing is really hooking my attention and is giving me the desire to finish so I'm unfortunately DNF'ing at this point.

over the last month or so ive tried numerous times to get into in this book, i’ve been very excited for this as i LOVED the monsters & muses series. however i think this time around with the next gen series i will need to focus on doing them with the audios vs ebooks as sometimes it just really helps me get invested when a narrator brings them to life.

im putting a 3 star rating solely because in this situation i dont think its fair to put 1 star when it simply boils down to a personal issue. however i will be coming back once this is officially out and i can get around to listening to it!

Thank you to the publisher for this e-arc! Unfortunately, I am DNFing this read at 20%. I like the concept, but I think this author just may not be for me.

Thanks again!

This was my introduction to Sav R. Miller’s writing and world building. Even though it is implied that this book can be read without reading the others in this universe, I would not recommend it due to the call backs to other books/characters from previous series. If you are just along for the ride, you might enjoy it, but as someone who was trying to digest all the information in the book, I was lost at some parts and had to do some research. A big plot point of the book is due to a misunderstanding that occurred when the main characters were children that could have easily been cleared up with a conversation. At least they admit it later in the book 😊

Lucy and Asher were raised together. Best friends who secretly love each other. Lucy wants to go to a college that is dangerous to Asher. The college was against the Anderson name( his family name). Students are murdered left and right without people in the school really investigating. Asher tours the college just to have been attacked.

Asher promised Lucy he would go to the college. However he had to break the promise to protect his sister.

Who is causing the murders and can he save Lucy and himself when he changes his mind and attends the college ?

Thanks NetGalley. I enjoyed the suspense and the slow burn of Lucy and Asher.

I honestly really enjoyed the vibes in this one. Loved the dark academia with the side of mystery, it definitely kept me guessing. If you’re into the morally grey men, like myself, Asher does not disappoint. He’s broody and sexy and the chemistry between him and Lucy is 🔥🔥 At some point I’m going to go back and read the parents series, but not knowing their history didn’t take away from the book.

ARC Review: Endless Anger
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book had everything—dark academia vibes, secret societies, spice, and a romance that hits you right in the chest. Asher is all broody rage and bad decisions, and Lucy is the only one who’s ever really seen him. Their chemistry? Absolutely electric.

I loved how the mystery kept unfolding around them—rituals, murders, creepy campus secrets—and yet the tension between them stayed front and center. It’s the perfect mix of plot and spice, with twists that actually surprised me.

If you’re into morally gray guys, angsty romance, and dark settings with a little bite, definitely pick this one up. I’m already dying for the next book.

Releases 8/19/25!✨Thank you to @srmauthor @read_bloom and @netgalley for sending me an ARC to review!

A reader who craves emotionally intense, boundary-pushing romances where love and danger intertwine, and who enjoys morally gray anti-heroes, fierce heroines, and a dark, collegiate setting that blurs the line between obsession and salvation will devour this book.

In all honesty, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It was interesting and kept me hooked the entire time, but I felt like there was something missing. I think that the world was missing a bit of depth in a way, and though it did build over time, I just wasn't fully immersed. I liked both Asher and Lucy, they were both well written, with motivations that made sense, even when they were going against them. I like their romance, though friends to lovers can be tough some times. This was shockingly dark at times, and the general vibe of the book was on the darker side I found. I think I would continue this series, as I did have a few questions at the end.
