Anora has no idea how dangerous Quentin us.
Now was it coincidence that she started feeling like she was being watched? Followed? Most likely not.
She had better get used to it. Quentin was not going to easily give up watching his little moon. He was a man that protects what is his, especially from the scum of the earth. When his secrets and darkness start to come out of the shadows into Anora's world, his fear of losing her could be what truly tips his sanity.

A great hit of a dark romance that was perfect for my day. I needed a bit of violence, and cringy slimeballs who deserve what they get (to a degree) is just what I need some days.
The chemistry between our dark vigilante and his obession was fire! Not only was it hot, but the sweet open cuddle times got you all mushy!

This was a good read but I felt it was slightly predictable. It gave a bit of a vibe of Lights out cross Butcher and Blackbird and I loved Quentin and Anora's chemistry!

Absolute page turner.. loved the characters, very relatable and interesting. Love the romance. And the main male character!

Interesting plot and a quick read just wish there was more. My only gripe is that the plot wasn’t fleshed out more, I think they could have built everything up a bit more instead of just jumping to the next thing constantly.

i was super excited to read this one, as it was a dark romance book and i’m a HUGEEE dark romance lover. i did have a good time while reading it, but it was so so short and was definitely an insta-love (which is a trope i’m not a huge fan of). because of how short it was, it felt like everything was happening so so quick and there was little build up! i also felt as though i was not connected to the characters!

however, i still think this was a quick and entertaining read (i mean i read it in one sitting)!!! if you’re looking for a quick dark romance to read, this is definitely one that i would recommend!

ours To Take by Vera Kane is a captivating read that left me wanting more. Kane's concept is brimming with potential, presenting a fresh and intriguing story that effortlessly draws the reader in. The narrative flows beautifully, but just as you're deeply immersed, it feels as though it ends too soon. While the concise nature of the book adds to its intensity, I couldn't help but wish for a longer exploration of its themes and characters. This book hints at something amazing, and I would have loved to see it fully realized. Nevertheless, it’s a thought-provoking and enjoyable read that lingers in the mind long after the final page.

The FBI agent that’s assigned to my phone is going to flag me for this but, I wanted the stalking bit to last longer in this book!

Quentin’s “normal” quirks of anxiety about talking to a beautiful woman and being loved by her was so precious. I truly loved his character. On the other hand I felt like Anore lacked enough character for me to become attached

I do understand this was a novella but I definitely would have loved to see this be longer to extend on different plot points!

Will definitely be rereading this closer to Halloween time!

I love their nicknames for one another, Little Moon and Thorne. I think it is an absolute wonderful touch to the extremely hot and steamy romance! The author did such a wonderful job at character description and development. I will say the relationship that blossoms starts out kind of concerning, but i have thoroughly enjoyed the way it has developed. While this is a short read, it is definitely worth your time! I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ok I really enjoyed this book!

Quentin was a little much in the beginning but what stalker romance doesn’t start off like that 😆. If you enjoy that and insta love and obsession then this is for you!

On the Dark romance side of things I would say it’s not the darkest I have read but has some darker elements throughout! So check triggers!

All in all good read and liked how the book wrapped up in the end. Spicy scenes were the appropriate spice level for this kind of book too! 🙌🏻🔥

This was a short and spicy dark romance novel that kept me on my toes!

We love a stalker romance and Quentin done it WELL!! I felt that we got the growth throughout the book from him being a dark and moody mmc to a warm and smushy on the inside kinda man🤭

I liked Anora as an fmc but I do feel like we could have had more depth to her personality. There was a lot of growth for the fmc in such a short book that I felt that there wasn’t enough time for Anora to shine!

The plot really keeps you on the edge of your seat which is why I’m giving it 3.5 stars, I’d recommend it to a friend👏🏻

If the book was another 100 pages longer with more character depth it definitely would have been a 4 star or above for me!

Yours to Take is a dark romance novel by Vera Kane. I knew I was going to enjoy reading this book when the dedication said “For every girl who watched scream and fantasized about Billy Loomis this one is for you”. As a horror fan I loved the incorporation of one of my horror movies, Scream in it. Yours to Take follows the story of Quentin and Anora.. After the tragic death of his sister, Quentin takes revenge on the scumbags of Portland by acting as the Portland Slasher at night, Anora, on the other hand is a fashion designer who is tired of bad date after date. While on another bad date, at a coffee shop, Quentin lays eyes on Anora the rest is history. Since this a dark romance novel, I would recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading. This though would be a good read for readers who wanted an introduction to the dark romance genre. For me this was a quick read, that Im going to want to reread around Halloween.time. My one wish for this book is that since it a shorter book (around 200 pages), I wish some of the plot was more developed. I enjoyed the story and the characters in this book but I wished there was more detail describing the characters up bringing/ scene where Anora gets taken. Other than that the book was fast paced and a fun read! I liked that Quentin gave up his life style for Anora and the epilogue was adorable!

I enjoyed reading this book, however I felt the timeline went very quick and that some of the plot was missing. I enjoyed the concept but just felt it was missing some character development. The spicy scenes were great but unfortunately weren’t enough to make up for the other lacking aspects.

I felt like the book was very rushed and was missing several essential plot lines. It had such potential to be a 5 star read it but in the end fell very flat. The spice scenes were great but even those were rushed as well.

This was such an amazing book! For anyone that has the love of masked morally grey men that are obsessed with their women; this is for you!! From the very beginning of the book with the song Playlist until the last page I couldn’t wait to see what happened.

Starting out like the horror movie “Scream” and then getting the introduction to Quentin and who he was and his backstory was a great way to start. Followed by the meeting of Anora and the instant obsession had me hooked.

Anora seems like your normal down on her luck girl just wanting to find her happiness. With her best friend and roommate, Rory living together in Portland they have to watch their backs as the Portland Slasher is killing men with histories of violence against women. After Anora’s blind date is discovered murdered and she keeps running into a stranger from the coffee shop.. is it all just some sort of joke or is Quentin as good of a man as he seems??

The love the blooms between the two has you rooting for their happy ending. With all the bumps they encounter along the way, I can’t recommend this book enough. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I felt like information and details were missing. The ending was too HEA for a dark romance book. This book was a little on the softer side. The book seemed to me to be a watered down version of of Haunting Adeline. The book seemed a little rushed. It was an Ok book all in all. The cover is beautiful and the story line was good, but too short. The two female main characters had too similar of names Aurora (Rory) and Anora, got a little confused once or twice.

Nora feels like someone is following her, but when she meets Quinton she's not sure whether she loves it or hates it. He's obsessed with protecting and taking care of her, but she's no damsel.

Fast paced, spicy, and emotional, this was a great quick read!

I loved the book! I think my only complaints would be that while I love an insta love trope (like any sane person) I do wish the build up within their relationship was a bit more drawn out. I would’ve liked more angst and tension and more will they or won’t they. I think a lot of the plot was lost in that insta love in this one. But beyond that this book was great. I haven’t been a dark romance girly in a while and this really made me want to dive back in!
